I've only been to this USPS location twice even though it's close to home due to their limited hours, but today I decided that I'll try to go there whenever I need USPS services. Parking is easy, and Michelle is the nicest USPS worker I've ever met! The first time I went, I was mailing a passport photo and I had to ask Michelle to help me staple the photo to the application because I don't own a big stapler. She was so kind and we had a good laugh about that. There's no drama and I've never experienced a long line. Today I learned that if you're just dropping off a package to be shipped (with paid labels) and it doesn't contain batteries, you can just drop it at the open window. No waiting in line needed. I was in Ewa Beach and needed to mail out a package that has been sitting in my car for about 2 days. So a googled nearest post office and came here. It's a really small post office, and I was hoping there would be a drop box for packages. Unfortunately there was none, only a slot for envelopes so my 5in x 7in x2in package did not fit and their hours are very limited. Ended up having to go somewhere else. read more

So the next available appointment was Feb 18 but I didn't want to wait that long to do my passport. On my yellow research it said they were only open from 12:00 to 2:00pm but when I went today at 11:45 their hours actually changed to 8:30am! It wasn't busy at all and the woman at the desk really helped out so quick to get my passport done. This post office on Renton is very small and one person operated. They are open Mon-Fri 12pm-2pm only. It takes passport applications but I believe the hours are different (they take reservations and walk-in from 11am). It is not full service obviously but they have PO boxes, regular mails and Express etc. The lady working at the only window is very sweet and helpful. One minus star for the very limited hours but other than that, I would pick this post office over anywhere else. read more

I chose this location over Papipi for my P.O. Box because 1) it's cheaper and 2) it's accessible 24 hours. The downfall is the window hours are extremely limited so with my 730-4 job, I would never be able to pick up a package as their hours are 10am-2pm M-F. When I used to work night shift, I had no issue. The lady who works the window is always so lovely and accommodating. She never has a frown or bad day! She is very efficient, too, when you have a line of customers wanting to pick up packages and a line of people wanting to apply for passports (when there is a sign clearly stating the hours acceptable for passports and to make an appointment). Got our passport applications submitted here in the historic Ewa District on the Honouliuli plain. Be advised, USPS on the rear of the Ewa Beach Shopping Center does not do passports. Make sure you have your bearings correct so you won't arrive at the wrong post office. Appointments required, and are few and far between, so ensure to book in advance. Appointments for the Ewa and Aiea USPS locations are hard to come by so I was lucky to snag spots, otherwise it would've been for Waimanalo, Waialua, or Hauula. Recommend to complete the application form's fillable PDF online and print prior to your appointment. Helps to cut back time at the processing window. Fees and official photos came out to $130 + $35 per adult, $100 + $35 per child. Original birth certificates or naturalization documents needed. They temporarily keep them for verification purposes, but will be returned to you when you receive your passports in the mail. Keep in mind, that takes 4-6 weeks, so plan accordingly. John was quick and efficient. He got our 4 passport photos and application packages done in less than an hour. Can't beat a one stop shop and competent service. I called to ask if they take walk ins for passport processing and they do! The gentleman I spoke with was so friendly and nice! We got our documents together and rushed there. To my surprise we were third in line and the line went fast even though there was only one window open. We got to the window and yay the nice man I spoke to was there and he helped us. He is so fast and efficient that the whole process to get two new passports took less than 20 mins. :D read more

Talk about nostalgia!! Take a trip down Renton Road (enter Ewa Historical District) and you'll experience a bit of the past. Houses are somewhat cookie cutter, plantation era homes with a few structures left. I'll be honest, I'm still not sure what these building are and what they were used for in the past (I just never have the time to do the research). But if you're on Renton Road headed towards Kapolei Parkway, on the right sits a lone building that houses the Ewa Station Post Office as well as a the Ewa Credit Union. The distinguishing landmark would be the American Flag flying high in front of the one story building. There are three windows to the post office but only one is used. To note: -limited hours only (12-2 M-F / closed Sat and Sun) -PASSPORT APPLICATIONS CAN BE FOUND HERE (new and renew apps) -PASSPORT services here will be changing soon as of this writing As a seasoned traveler, I made the rookie mistake of letting my passport expire! I swear I had another year on it but something prompted me to take a look at it since I have an upcoming international trip. Lo and behold: EXPIRED!! So now is this mad rush to get my app expedited (for an extra $60.00 on top of the $110.00 renew fee). ****I discovered that NOT all post offices carry passport applications anymore.***** Yes, those days are gone! Even the main post office in town doesn't carry them anymore. Two trips later (one to my usual post office on Papipi Road and the other in town) and they direct me to this tiny, nostalgic looking post office. Who knew!! (Ok....State Library carries the apps but who wants to look for parking and walk all that way up there?! Seriously!) This post office is unlike any on Oahu (that I've experienced). Walk up window with only one person working the window. I don't believe that there is limited service here - only limited hours of operation. Also, there are limited postage supplies available - so if you're looking for a variety of priority mail boxes - you won't find but a few here. Great service with a friendly, small town feel! I love it!! I sure hope this post office never gets replaced and becomes a permanent part of Historic Ewa. Four stars because of the extreme limited hours. read more

Point blank, this post office has the oddest and most inconvenient hours making it a 1 star for regular mail services. It seems like it is always closed. It is not one with a lobby to go into. When I was told this was the closest post office with passport services I cringed. One thing I will say is if you have a passport appointment they will be there for the appointed time and are very swift about it. Another thing that amazed me was how fast we got our passport with their stabdard service. Just 2 weeks! This post office isnt bad if you have an appointment and need to get a passport. read more

I love this charming little post office in Historic Ewa! There was no line when I went around noon time on a Tuesday to mail out my passport renewal. I was told by an employee that mailing out the application can take up to 3-4 months for passport to come back. He suggest that I apply for renewal with the post office facility and it will come less than a month. He was kind enough to take me without an appointment! And sure enough, my passport came in 3.5 weeks without the rush option. I just paid the standard fee. Everything was so smooth and now I am happy to say this is my regular post office from now on. Such a cute little post office in the middle of Ewa... they are only open from 12 pm- 2 pm. Some days there is a line and other days no line! Lots of parking available in front of the post office. I've been here many of times and I must say that Wendy is amazing. She's very patient when it comes to asking questions on how to send certain items. Thank you Wendy! read more

I come here to mail prepaid packages often. It's good because you don't have to wait in line if it is prepaid and the worker will just let you walk up to the window and drop it off but the people that are waiting in line get mad and give you dirty looks lol. I did however just discover that you can schedule pick ups so that's super convenient. read more

Haven't actually been to the office, but its one of the few PO that do passport applications on the west side. However, they are listed as only being open 2 hours a day and only take appointments for passports. To make it even worse, they never answer their phones (808-689-4250) during those 2 hours, I actually called three times in one day, and still no one answered! They also don't have voicemail. It's so frustrating, instead I'm going to be spending my day off driving an hour away to go get my paperwork done at the post office in waialua because at least they take ONLINE appointments. It's funny because I bet this place doesn't even have to worry about any repercussions from bad reviews like mine. I'm just posting for nothing really. read more

Getting a passport can be so frustrating. We called several Passport locations on Oahu and left messages to schedule an appointment. Only one location returned our call, the Ewa Beach Post Office on Renton Road. We scheduled an appointment for the day we wanted. The person who helped us was Jeff. Although the hours may be short, for years they have the most patient and friendly staff ! The hours have ALWAYS been that way and a one staff operation whom is efficient. If you're hoping to have a large walk in area don't go there . This location was made for a special reason . If you're looking for modern more window service you should go else where and see if you get the same "patient welcoming service" this Ewa location provides, I am sure you will not get the service like that anywhere else. They have what you need for mailing from priority boxes, stamps, able to take in large boxes to weigh if need, all necessary forms are placed on the large enough counter with writing material if you want to fill them up there if none is out the staff is willing to let you one. Before taking any item to mail the clerk looks over everything making sure item is going to right city and state as there are places with a street name that is a city in another state she will read the address making sure everything is correct before taking item in. If you need the cost of mailing she has no problem weighing and giving you the cost I've done that many times with no hassle especially if I not sure if I got it enough money to pay for shipping. They are a location for passports you can schedule an appointment on line and she is very efficient if you go early but someone is scheduled before you she will kindly ask you to wait and take the scheduled time person which is reasonable the wait is not long. She follows the guidelines for this crazy pandemic has markers for allowable spacing . The only time it would be long is if a person in line had a lot of items such as the customer before me she had a wagon of priority boxes and some had to be repackaged which the postal lady informed her how to do it. That customer mailed what was allowed and took others back other than that it is a breeze to do postal service there. This is a great place ! read more

Why is it that when large envelopes containing confidential information cannot fit in my security mailbox it's left on my front porch? Does the post office not realize that identity theft is rampant now days? What is the purpose of having a security mailbox if they just dump mail on my front porch for anyone to take.
