Why can't I give this place ZERO stars? Leave it up to them to either lose your package OR deliver it to the wrong house! Needless to say I did not receive my Apple AirPods today! You know, the Bluetooth headphones that cost flippin $159. My sister wanted them for Christmas but since every location was sold out, I waited until Best Buy restocked so I could order them. When I received an alert that they were delivered and inside my mailbox I was pretty excited...until I got there...and no air buds were to be found! Thanks USPS for delivering my package at almost 6PM and clearly delivering to the wrong house! No way anyone is going to be honest enough to bring me my package! Especially once they see it's from BestBuy!!!! So where do I go from here? Well, you can't file a claim per say on an uninsured package. You can email the stupid USPS with the "where's my package?" option and hope they find your package, which I guarantee you they won't because I've gone through this mess with them before. The older Asian lady here was very rude and unhelpful. When I walked in nobody was in there yet she rudely asks me "what do I need?" I shrugged it off smiled and said I would like to ship this package. I do resell I've been doing it for years. The label will be created and I have 4 days to ship. Yet she came at me with some bs that since the label was created four days ago and the shipping said two day shipping she couldn't scan it. I tried to argue the point I've done this many times no problem. She goes well now they're strict about it, idk who's they but I can tell you it was all her who felt that way. I went out right after our conversation took it to self serve scanned it in no problem and dropped it in the drop box crazy how I didn't get the item shipped back to me. I thought she said they couldn't take it? So why did the computer outside take it and then it was shipped no problem? All I can guess is terrible customer service with workers who are looking for any reason not to help. I will never come in and get physical help again I suggest you do the same there's a self service kiosk that will let you do everything yourself so you don't have to go through any hoops like she wanted me to do. read more

Total nightmare. Avoid if possible. Extremely long lines, creating grumpy customers and employees. Unreasonable to have this be insufficiently staffed. When you have an issue you can't get in touch with anyone. They won't answer the phone. The "customer service " hotline is always busy and never helpful. Issues won't get resolved . USPS gets paid for services they don't deliver. We routinely get our neighbors mail because I guess that saves the mail carrier some time. Package pick up requests are not honored. I suggest using fedex or ups whenever possible and email instead of mail. read more

Today I got a flyer in my mailbox from the Fairfield post office. On the flyer it says the post office will no longer be delivering mail to zip code 94533. There is no date on the latter on how long this will be in effect. The excuse given for this inconvenience is "The change is revolving around our peak processing and essential to provide exceptional service to our customers". This is terrible customer service. A date was not provided to inform us of how long will this be in effect? On the flyer we are told we will need to pick our mail up at the post office. Great I have nothing better to do with my time. I completed online address change and multiple paper forms for a change of address. Months after multiple requests, they still won't forward my mail. Prior to my move, they returned mail at random, even when correctly addressed. When asked about this, the staff said they have no idea why the carriers do what they do. USPS complains about a decline in usage of their services. Curious as to why, eh?! read more

I finally gave up on this local P.O!!! Since 1996, I've gone to this PO on a fairly regular basis & have witnessed the gradual deterioration of its customer service. For about a couple of years now, it's even much worse. To be fair, we've had very efficient & professional mail carriers in our zip (94534) for years. Now back to the PO. For a start, the self-service kiosk is out-of-service, has paper issues or can't do all the expected functions. Several complaints to the desk clerk & service manager resulted in a fully functional kiosk that lasts for a week or so. So obvious that a fully functional kiosk would somehow RELIEVE the work load on the understaffed counter personnel! But in this PO, the management is just oblivious to this issue. Another major issue is the attitude & professionalism of the counter staff. Perhaps the workload on the staff is onerous, but again the management is not addressing the understaffing issue. Compare the FF / PO staff with that of Suisun & Vacaville POs & the difference is so evident. If the POs in Suisun & Vacaville do offer much better customer service, why can't the USPS regional district not able to compel the Fairfield PO to do better? Because of the pandemic, the satellite PO at Raleys (Travis Blvd) had to close & did not reopen. This was a huge setback for us residents in the 94534 zip. Unfortunately, I now have to go to the PO in Vacaville or Suisun for better postal service. read more

Please please please just deliver mail to the correct unit. There are 3 (THREE) units in my building. I have a bright orange sign in my front window that says, "ATTN USPS... APARTMENT A THIS WAY." I even put a cute little arrow on the sign pointing to the direction of my mailbox. I have complained about misdelivered mail several times before. Just pay attention. read more

As a small business owner that sends out a lot of packages this is possibly the worst post office to go to. 1.) no counter drop offs allowed 2.) they complain when you drop off in the bin 3.) they tell you to wait in line if you have over 10 packages so the drop off bin doesn't get full. So you want me to wait 20 minutes because you're the only post office that makes these silly rules? I'll stick to scheduled pick up and the post office at suisun on merganser. Their customer service is a lot better and they don't have an attitude. When I had over 15 packages a man helped me and told me he was going to give me a receipt. I told him it's ok I don't need one. He insisted and I had to wait as he entered each itemized item into the system. Another woman rolled her eyes at me when I told her the bin was full and I was dropping off. Another one had lectured me to get my supplies online because I was grabbing too much. I order my box supplies stuff online but it takes 2-3weeks to receive them so if I'm sending out packages everyday then I'm going to run out. -just way too many instances of potential complaints here-lines are always way too long... read more

Wish I could give zero stars. Was trying to send out APO/FPO mail and decided to come here. BIG MISTAKE. I had the package w/barcode slip ready to send out and the lady at the counter said I needed to make 2 more copies of the slip and attach a sticky (To/From) note to the package. What for!?! I was so ticked off and decided to go to the Suisun post office instead and got much better service. Avoid this place AT ALL COSTS. read more

I have had post offices boxes for decades as my husband is in law enforcement. This office is unequivocally the worst I have ever experienced, based on customer service and amenities. 3000 boxes, yet only 12 package lockers, what the heck??? The employees at the desk move like they're off the clock....it is maddening. I have a box so I don't have to go to the counter, yet you have no package lockers, which forces me to go to counter. I attempted to call their offices several times. No answer. I went and stood in line only to be told they couldn't help me with a lost package unless it showed back up at their facility. This was after the lady said she couldn't find anything on tracking number. I wouldn't leave until she at least found the tracking number. Very disappointed. I ended up calling Vallejo Post office and phone was answered immediately. Lady was very nice. She needed me to repeat tracking number but never said I can't find it. She ended up advising to continue tracking to catch ip with package. Very pleasant and helpful unlike Fairfield. read more

So one package delivered my door the 27th..guess what nope not there!! 2nd a package that was supposedly delivered on 28th is missing they broke into mail boxes that night!! Went in for a service and tried to explain to the staff for one hour how to do their job. They just weren't getting it. Probably had the reading comprehension of a second-grader. Went to a neighboring city and was in and out in 45 seconds and All taken care of. I guess what do you expect? It is Fairfield after all. read more

Why do all the USPS stores have low ratings? It seems like the services are getting slower and less efficient but they don't care. USPS tracking system is the worst program ever. Its not accurate and doesn't work. Why do people continue to pay for that service? When you go to mail something why does it take over 20 minute. Waiting to pick up a package is just as long. Not only is our mail not being picked up daily, we are not receiving any mail. No mail on Thursday, Friday, or today Monday. BEYOND RIDICULOUS. Had been calling for 4 days to get an appointment for my passport but nobody answered. I show up today in person to get it handled and they said I needed to make an appointment online which their voice mail does not inform you about. In person it was not much better as far as customer service, they wanted me to either go to San Francisco or Sacramento rather then trying to help me figure out my issue. They give me mixed information and nobody was certin of anything. I do not feel comfortable going back until they get their act together. read more

I'm about to go postal on the US postal service in Fairfield CA. Not once, not twice, nay not three times, wait for it, not even 4 times in a row can the USPS in Fairfield CA get the hold mail request right. Each and every time they manage to screw up and deliver packages anyway. What in the blue moon is a hold mail request good for if you still deliver? I even managed to get a response from the postal manager that he placed an alert for my address not to deliver any mail while hold mail requests are active, he then proceeded to give me his number, which is a disconnected number lol, in the event this should ever happen again. This is the worst location to renew passports. The staff does not understand instructions on the passport form D-11. I went to renew my kids' passport. As proof of citizenship, I brought my kids' undamaged passports and color copies of their birth certificates. According to D-11, a "previously issued passport OR certified birth certificate" are proof that they are american citizens. But the person who was helping me wanted a certified copy of their birth certificates as well. I explained that it's OR, meaning either one (old passport OR certified birth certificate). Form D-11 is not requiring both. She still refused to process my kids passports and turned me away, and quoted "I will not help you." Once I had certified birth certificates, I went to the Suisun location and I was told by Suisun staff that certified birth certificates are not needed, and an old passport is sufficient as proof of citizenship. It's very frustrating because I had to take off work, drive 4 hrs, and spent $60 to get my kids' certified birth certificates when it's unnecessary. I wasted 2 days when it could have been done in 30 minutes, if she understood instructions. Fairfield staff needs to be educated on how to properly process passports and what documentations are needed. Most specially the person who has helping me. Fairfield, CA, Post Office received my certified letter from Rohnert Park, CA, at 8:00am on Friday, October 17th. It is now Monday, the 20th, 12:00 noon, and the tracking website says that it still hasn't been delivered or picked up. I called the recipient party and they have picked it up. Why does the USPS still show that my letter has not yet been picked up???? Why have I paid extra for them to do the tracking for me???? Why can't I trust this system???? can't get someone to answer phone - Never ever handles mail forwarding/change of address correctly. Just found out a medical bill was returned to the sender as a BAD ADDRESS during the time I had mail forwarding order in effect. Now medical bill is in collections!!! When I returned to my original address found some mail was forwarded; some was simply collecting in my mail box and now I learn some was returned to sender as bad address. This is not my first rodeo - I have intermittently had the same type of issues dating back to 2010 - I will never know how many pieces of mail were mishandled. read more
