I went to the Suisun City Post Office yesterday to cancel my address change as well as have my mail held because someone is breaking into mailboxes at my complex. I am disabled and also currently have a cast on my left leg. I waited in a line when I got there which wasn't a big deal because the lines there are always long. I got to the front counter and explained what I needed done. The lady handed me a yellow "hold mail" form and told me to go wait at the end for her manager. After 10 minutes of standing I asked her to please go get him because I'm in a cast and standing for a long period causes my legs to hurt. She didn't say a word and just turned around and hit the bell once and resumed helping other people. After about another 5 minutes I saw a differently lady and asked if she could please go get the manager because I needed help with the forms etc. She walked over and looked at the paper and went to go grab him. She never returned and neither did the manager. After another 5 plus minutes a customer walked down by the passport door and as soon as someone opened it I asked if they could please grab the manager and she slammed the door in my face. Naturally I started to yell at them saying how effin rude they are etc. As I started to walk out the manager suddenly appeared at the desk to help me. I said "is this really how you treat disabled people?" After he helped me he apologized for what happened and I told him they need better staff because clearly they don't give a crap about anyone and are just lazy. read more

We have mail that have been going go a different mailboxes and I'm just glad that our neighbors even if they don't know us personally, they keep dropping off our mails in our front doors. They hire lazy people, how dare you not even bother to come to my front door, I had a certified mail being delivered it's supposed to be delivered to the door they never came to my door I waited all day went to my mail box and they left a note in my mail saying we tried to reach you but no one answered, damn lie and today I waited again they delivered the mail but never came to my door to do the delivery for my package, don't hire people who are lazy that can't be bothered to walk to someone's house, all they want to do it drive up to the mail box talk two steps out of the car that's it, they do not deserve the high paying hourly if they can't be bothered to walk to someone home to do the delivery of a package that was paid for, called to make a complaint no one answers what a shock. read more

Workers are just rude. If you ask for help they are very short with you and just yell if you if you don't know what to do.

I went in here to mellow package. But luckily I did not have to wait in the line that was inside the lobby. I was able to insert my package through the manual delivery door which was a huge convenience for me being that I was on my lunch hour. Not many cars in the parking lot but the parking lot is a pretty decent size to accommodate multiple customers. I like this post office. The tellers are friendly and helpful. There could be a line during busy hours which is a couple of hours before closing, but I always bring in my phone to keep myself busy. The line can move very slow, it's small in the main area but clean, and the P.O. box area just in front is spacious. There's plenty of parking and drive thru drop off box out front to the side. read more

I love the proximity of this office but the scripted customer service is least desired. While standing in line, I saw a customer being asked to purchase a pen (dang...I remember post offices use to have them handy) and an employee who left a customer standing at her counter in mid conversation and didn't come back to service her (apparently her shift ended...). When it was finally my turn to conduct business, I was provided with minimal information from an employee with a nice nasty attitude. As a federal employee who provides customer service, I was completely shocked at what I saw and experienced. I didn't know if this was standard protocol or simply a bad day for the staff. Apparently this post office is known for their lack of meaningful customer service. Nevertheless, the community certainly deserves better. read more

Although they are nice. The customer service could be much better. Other post office usually have at least a small roll of tape. If you're taping, something small, I was returning something back for free. I had to leave to print a label--ok fine. However, because I didn't tape the label on the box, she expected me to pay about four dollars for a roll of tape just to put the label on the box to send it back. She could've told me before I left the first time to get the label printed to make sure the label was taped on the box before I came back. read more

I always seem to have issues with receiving my packages especially compared to other places.

Make sure you go to your passport appt BEFORE the appt time range NOT WITHIN the scheduled time range or they will tag you as No Show. So yeah they tagged us as No Show bec we came there within the scheduled time range. We waited for a month and cancelled life opportunities so we could get our passports done but what's our option when they say "it's on our website". Why they didnt include everything in the email? and sad part is some people does not have compassion anymore... So frustrating... read more

I went here today with my son to get his passport. The gentleman who checked us in was very nice, even when I was abrupt with him. The lady who actually did the processing was knowledgeable, kind, and efficient. This is not my first time getting a passport and this experience was wonderful in comparison! This post office is in the Sunset center plaza. My family and I have been sharing a box here for some years now. Every time i come here it's always a problem either with me or someone else. The young women working here are not welcoming or polite. They look miserable and wore out. My mail was returned to sender multiple times with no explanation. When i asked for a supervisor to look into this matter for me she was not accommodating at all, it was pretty much figure it out yourself. The only thing she had for me was "There is nothing we could do for you unfortunately." Very dismissive no problem solution. read more

This is the most unprofessional post office there is. I tried to be nice returning a package which did not belong to me but the staff is so lazy to get their lazy asses up to provide help. The worst one is the white female with her hair bleached. She has an attitude and must hate her job. These employees would had been fired at any "regular" job and that is why they still there. So often, I get the wrong mail due to negligence. Knowing they take no pride of what they doing, lets me know that you hate your job. read more

Terribly rude, disrespectful short Mexican woman front window clerk. Waited in line, called up..my turn but wasn't allowed to finish my business. Needed to very briefly call my wife if she wanted to deliver the package priority since clerk said they won't take our package ground parcel select which is cheaper. She didn't allow me, told me "step aside so she could call next person and line up after call". Said it in a very rude dismissive manner too. Call of course was going to take less than a minute and there were 4 windows ooen with just 2 other behind me in line. So impatient and arrogant. I used to work in USPS at Danville and clerks there are professionals and doesn't really need training as they're just hired as a pleasant people by nature, though they're trained well still. Really there's no need for training if one is by default a good person. However I still doubt the management in this Suisun Post Office cared about training their clerks about good customer service skills. read more

Dispite the erroneously long lines that sometimes go out the door, there always seems to be 1 attendant per kiosk and there are 5 kiosks. These Champs really work hard and quickly. Usually, if they are taking more time, its the customers fault. People in Suisun are too dumb to know how basic postage works and take a long time trying to figure out what they want to do at the counter rather than having a plan ahead of time. Ive seen many people over the years arrive without any box for their packages. It's not the usps's fault for their lack of foreplanning. Been trying to call about a missing package. No answer! The whoooole day! Called the usps website, 40min hold time. 40 Minutes of HOLD. All I've got is a case # and I'm out $50. ------- Turns out the shipper sent a 2nd package with a duplicate label. Our mail lady sorted it out. She's really great and I'm glad she's delivering in our neighborhood. Hopefully the P.O. could get a better budget and more help in the next administration. read more

This post office is friendly enough even though my package is still lost and hasn't been able to be tracked. However with the current state of affairs, I would not recommend if you want to be safe. They have signs everywhere saying to wear a face covering or you won't be serviced yet they have a slew of customers walking around without a face mask of any kind putting my life in danger. People with their immune system being compromised or those with small children should go elsewhere. read more

I ended up coming here on Saturday to drop off my Poshmark sales because the Fairfield location I guess closes at 12 noon and their bins were still open but since it was full, it was locked so I had to come all the way over here. Honestly I didn't even know about Suisun City until Saturday LOL I hadn't really heard of it. This Post Office reminds me of the 80s era ha ha it's outdated but it's big. The staff was friendly too. On 03/03/2020 I had a passport w/photo appointment at the Suisun USPS. Coming from Sacramento, I left early just in case of traffic delays which there were! After arriving about 30 minutes early, I decided to go inside to check in. Was greeted by postal agents when I entered the area which I was pleasantly surprised...but it was appreciative! I knew at that moment my experience was going to be great! Checked in early and was called exactly at my appointment time! Had the pleasure of working with Ms. Tiffany who was awesome! Very knowledgeable of the process and exceptional customer service skills! I even received a compliment for having all necessary documents readily available - YAY! been in Suisun for over ten years , constantly getting the wrong mail delivered to my house , either its the neighbors or someone down a different street but same number my worst experience was having to go pick up my mail at the office only to find out it had been opened and nothing was in it , since it was gift cards from my bank I'm sure I know why , I wrote the post master and never heard back , what a blemish on the US PO , and the attitude there from some of the employees is scary. when I confronted them about my stolen mail that never left their office {hence taken by someone there} all I was given was a printout to the post master , which after a year I still have never heard back the bank did resend me the 400 in gift cards but still , I really always trusted the post office and considered them to be held to higher standards read more

I have never had such a bad experience at a post office in my life. I made an appointment for a passport. I went to the state department website gathered all the information I needed and filled out the correct forms. I was told that I was wrong and had to fill out a completely different form and mail in the form even though my passport is damaged. I left and called the state department who told me what I had read previously that I need to apply as if it was a new passport and renewal. I went back in again and she denied me again telling me it was the law. She was rude, short and didn't even help me with what I needed since my paperwork was "wrong". No wonder the postal service has such a bad reputation. They don't even know the law and tell people incorrect information. read more

When it comes to standing in line, if Suisun is busy...expect a wait. However, versus the Fairfield Post Office, I'd rather go here. Suisun has a better parking lot, when it comes to stamp selection, Suisun has more of the newer stamps designs, and their staff is generally nicer. I came in and had an appointment with Tiffany for my Passport renewal. Tiffany was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the Passport process. Although, when I first came in I was upset that the Post office staff person who answered the phone when I made my appointment did not give information on what I needed. I asked the woman on the phone what I needed to bring and she told me to check the passport website. She also did not tell me I needed to have the forms filled out already. So I came in without having that done. I was scolded by one of the male employees that I did not come prepared. That irritated me, but Tiffany's nice demeanor and helpfulness put me more at ease. She gave me all the proper forms, double checked them and my name spelling. She also took an excellent passport picture ($15). She was very patient with me and helped me fill out all my paperwork. She even told me that I can track my passport application status online. Overall, I think this is a great alternative to renewing your passport (versus just sending in all the information via mail yourself). I felt like I was able to have everything double checked and my documents securely handled. **EDIT: I received my passport 12 days after my appointment. I paid for it to be expedited and I was able to get it before my trip. read more

I really don't like the task of having to go to the post office, but this specific location makes the trip more enjoyable. First off there is hardly ever a long line, and the staff is really friendly. Numerous times they have told me how to save on my shipping cost. If you are looking to get in and out with a friendly smile this is the post office to visit. Just don't tell everyone, then the lines will get too long. read more
