Jen, postal clerk was patient and kind. I had many questions about a Priority Mail package and she answered all of them. She assured me that a signature would be required for the delivery but it wasn't. I received an email stating the package was "handed to someone" at the delivery address. This could have created a problem but luckily it didn't. Even though Jen was helpful I feel she deceived me on how the package was mailed. I kept asking if it should go Certified (for the signature) or if she needed to stamp it. She told me no, and pointed to the pre-printed words "Signature Required" on the Priority Mail package. I was there on 9/6/2025 @ 10:36am Dude who scanned my package seemed quite unhappy with his job. Couldn't even say a simple THANK YOU. Even a 2 year old knows how to use those words. It's the post office. There is plenty of parking. And also, there was no line and it moved very quick as well.

Staff who work the counter are friendly and efficient(not their fault) BUT. Because I bought a home in a new area, there is still no mail service after 6 months! I have to pick up mail at the post office. They say-"ring the bell and someone will help you". Even when the bell is operable, after 15 mins, no one comes and I have to get in line and wait anyway. Something is wrong with this process. Especially considering the development next to me actually have their keys and retrieve mail at the the installed cluster boxes. Yes, there are cluster mailboxes for my street-just not in use. This is not efficient nor logical. Aren't these things discussed and planned when they build new communities? 6 months is way too long. This review is for the mail delivery person at USPS VACAVILLE (95687). April 19, 2023 at around 7pm I went to our mailbox to check if my package I was waiting already came. Unfortunately I couldn't take out my package and that made me wonder how in the world they manage to put it in there???? I had to open my package from inside to take the other item included in my package. It was wrapped in bubble wrap, I removed the bubble wrap thinking it might fit in the opening of the mailbox but OMG! my item was broken! They usually put a key in the mailbox if a package is big. - TO USPS IN VACAVILLE serving 95687 please retrain/refresh your mail delivery people hopefully this will not happen again. *This thing is still in our mailbox read more

This is my regular post office for my home. I also have a PO Box at this location for my business. I came in on this Saturday (5/13/2023) to pick up a package that was delivered here. Usually I would ring a doorbell at the service counter (next to the Mail Drop) outside of the main service area. This counter is for services that do not require exchange of money such as address changes, vacation holds, pick up mail/packages, etc. Today, they were very short handed, only 3 people working: 1 supervisor (doing everything) and 2 clerks at the main service counter. The supervisor was very apologetic and explained that a lot of people called out today (probably because it's Mother's Day weekend). I feel bad the 3 employees as there was a long line of people waiting for service right as they opened at 10am. The reason for the 3 stars is more because this post office is getting old and dirty. You can tell they don't clean it very often as there was trash on the floor in the main service area and they just opened the doors. In the PO Box area the floors are filthy. Some days there are homeless people outside the door begging. There is a donation bin between the parking lot and the 7-Eleven that gets rummaged through by people and is always a mess. Hopefully they will remodel this post office and clean it up a little someday. read more

The staff at this office are rude and unprofessional. I went to post office to request service because my mail box is broken , does not lock. Upon entering the customer service area, the clerk asked me why was I there I told him my box is broken and does not lock. The clerk began to ask me my information despite me being greater than 6 feet away. After I approach the counter I gave him my address as requested. He informed me he needed to talk to his supervisor, since I had been living at the address for some time. The supervisor began speaking very loudly to the clerk looking at me. also spoke from across the room. She stated that could not get it repaired for free she required , it to be done before 30 days after acquiring a LEASE. I let her know I had purchase the home and was never provided a key. She never approached the counter just yelled across the post office in front of other patrons. Afterwards the clerk assisting me attempted to explain he was trying to get the service for free. I let him know I just wanted box repaired not concern about the cost, I then thanked him and left. The fact the expectation was for me to yell out my address about a box that does not lock is ridiculous. read more

This USPS location is kind of hidden, like it's top secret or something LOL. I only know it's here because I live close by. Just a typical USPS branch: not enough workers, long lines, and will charge for everything...even using a pen if they could!! The employees are okay, didn't have any negative experience, but, lacks customer service here. read more

The entrance is to the right and considering the small capacity the line is always out the door. Rude, slow, racist and lazy front cashiers. They walk so slow doing things. I don't care if they're close to retirement from the USPS and just killing time, but you're up at the cashier serving people. It's your job to be nice, helpful and courteous. I went there around noon today. When it was my turn, I felt such negative vibes by the way she looked at me ... a POC. No welcoming hello, no smile, red faced and all. Paid nearly $90 to ship a package to my friend in India, it arrived damaged and all of the food/snack items couldn't be eaten (bugs, rats, water, etc.). They didn't care even though we had photos to show all of the damage, they wanted my friend to drive with the damaged items back to usps to do a "full inspection". They also got upset at me for reporting this incident "too late" but it took them 2 months to ship it to my friend (8/5-9/24) and the report window is 60 days...it took them nearly 60 days to even reach her?? read more

Absolutely ridiculous! This clown TOSSED my EXPENSIVE crystal singing bowl onto my porch today and up against my large aloe plant. I mean, this box tumbled! The box was CLEARLY marked with a red stamp that said FRAGILE and there's an arrow pointing up as well as a broken wine glass in case someone doesn't know what FRAGILE means, I suppose. This is a review for Yesica who was just so incredible yesterday. I had mail containing my breast pump that had not been delivered, but said "Delivered". I had a service request open for the case. She called me after hours to infom me that it would be dealt with first thing next morning. I told her, that it had my breastpump and I would appreciate if it was prioritized. She was so incredibly kind. She said let me see what I can do. In an hour, I had the breast pump delivered to me at my front door at 8pm. This is obviously someone who is kind, compassionate and goes ABOVE and beyond their role and their job. I hope you promote her/give her a raise/show her appreciation and acknowledge her in the best way possible. read more

I stopped in there last week to send a package. The place was very busy and the clerks are normally very nice. But there was what I believe was the manager, a Caucasian woman with brown shoulder length hair and she was nothing but rude! I asked her if I could use the tape for my priority mailbox, and she looked at me and gave me the dirtiest look and said "no, you have to buy the tape"! I said, "oh, the clerks always let me use it, or they will take my boxes to secure them!" She looked at me and gave those clerks the dirtiest look and said "they are not supposed to tape your boxes. I really wish I could give the Vacaville beach of USPS 0 stars. Not necessarily the customer service location - but the mail carriers are awful. When we purchased our home, our neighborhood's mail carrier was great. He was consistent and easy going. 11/10 good guy. Unfortunately, he is no longer serving our neighborhood. The lady we have now is awful. We haven't gotten our mail in over a week because of the mail box location... which is outside of our gate. She states that she was scratched by our dogs; however, the layout and height of the gate (4+ feet tall, 3 inches wide) makes that impossible. Further we have cameras on the house and have yet to see a video where the dogs were able to make any contact with her whatsoever. We will be filing an official complaint. Vacaville residents - be cautious. They can apparently hold your mail hostage with no proof of any wrongdoing on your part. read more

0 stars for this post office. The black man and the old white woman are always rude. Whenever I go here, they always find ways to be rude and unpleasant. Black man is sarcastic and not helpful. Not sure if he was just lazy or untrained but he was claiming they dont offer a service (which i'm pretty sure that they do, i got the same service 2 weeks ago from an asian woman on the same branch) He also laughs at customers. This is the post office in the area I frequent! Be cautious of coming during peak times (lunch, after work), the wait can be out the door. They also have Saturday service from 10am - 2pm; hopefully they don't end that with their being talks of canceling Saturday delivery altogether. :/ This location also does passport appointments as well, just remember to make an appointment ahead of time! Seems like every time I visit, the most they have working the counter is 3 people. The workers are all very patient and helpful. If you don't want to wait in line, the next room with PO boxes has a self service kiosk!! read more

What's the BIG deal about this Post Office? Why even Yelp it?! They're fast that's why! Out of all the Post offices I have been to, these folks are always fully staffed, you can have a line out the door and it speeds through in 10-15 minutes. (a good example is the week of Xmas) They're kind, courteous and simply get you in and out as fast as they can. I live in Suisun and although the service can be nice, they're always short of staff, you can have a long line at the door but you can wait 30 whole minutes... My time is well spent at this Vacaville Post Office! In and out and your package is shipped. That's all I could ask for! read more

I guess this is their policy but I came in to ship a small cardboard box with a prepaid shipping label. All it needed was a piece of tape to affix the label to the box. One of the workers pointed at me and said "you need to tape that on there", while I was still in line waiting. I asked where the tape was and they pointed to the back wall and said "back wall, you have to buy it" .... really? Ok. So like I said, maybe that is a USPS policy. Either way, it would have been nice to hear something like "I'm sorry, we actually can't utilize our tape per usps policy, but if you would like you can purchase a roll of tape to do so yourself". Just a little better customer service would be appreciated. So now, I'm going to schedule a free carrier pickup to my house which is going to cost a great deal more in fuel for the usps than had they just taped it on for me. Dumb policy. They inconsistently deliver the mail at random times during the day. The courier's plain clothes attire is representative of their courier prowess. Is there some reason why an hour and half before you close no one is answering the phone? Having a pretty serious issue at the moment and would appreciate if someone could at least answer the phone and put me on hold! Finally had to go in and of every employee at the counters has a pleasant smile on their face except for Big Bertha. Who, of course's desk opens up just as I reach the front of the line. My fiancé and I recently moved and we went three days in a row with no mail which was concerning to begin with. In addition I am on disability and receive a paper check still which trust me after this debacle will immediately switch to direct deposit. I tell her this and she just stares at me before retreating to the back and coming back to tell me there is no hold on my mail. So I say okay, so it's just normal to not receive mail for 3 days in a row..?? That never happens to us and I have a paycheck in the mail. Her response? Oh yeah I would be really worried about that if I was you. No shit Sherlock! why do you think I dragged myself down to this hellhole joke of an establishment since no one seems to know how to answer a telephone? Best part is she gives me a phone number to call the next morning in case we still don't have mail and wouldn't you know it, it's the same damn number I had been calling with no answer. Oh and the icing on the cake? She has me spell my name out to her and I guess her hearings not too great because she proceeds to tell me I spelled my last name wrong to her when she wrote it down and I corrected her. "Lady" --I've been spelling my name for 29 years, pretty sure I know how to spell my own damn last name and you're just an overweight toad who doesn't care enough to listen thoroughly. Great customer service!! I hate, I mean hate going to the post office but it is that tome of year and I was ready for a long wait. I was standing in line and postal worker Rupi was in out in the lobby helping people get ready and told me that if I didn't have any international packages to mail I could use the self service kiosks. I was a little nervous because I had four packages to mail but he walked me the hold process even helping me put the labels on and taking the packages to the drop box great customer service at this post office. I like the fact that there's a self service kiosk and you can go by there (6:30am) before the lobby opens but what pisses me off is you can't leave your package in the package mailbox because it's always full (I can't believe that it fills up over night so I'm assuming it doesn't get emptied before the lobby opens - so here I have my medium flat rate package "postage paid" sitting in my car until I get off work tonight hopefully the package mail box will be empty to night read more

as a resident of Vacaville since 1084 this post office is my go to mail stop. even when the lines are long the clerks do their best to provide timely customer service. their patients when working with aged, non English speaking, is laudable. customers who complain need to recognize they get the same time attention and service. She gave us excellent customer service and information we had not been given the 3 times we called in the past, regarding the same issue. She took her time explaining the process, proceeded to give us as much information as she could to inform us of policy and procedure, and ensured us our packages were at their facility. Conveniently located in a small strip mall off I-80. Good sized branch with post office boxes on the left of the establishment, and 'retail' front on the right. Although visibly aged, things were still cleanly and neatly maintained inside. I patronized the branch on a Friday morning at ~10am, and was surprised to find a line of ~10 folks already in place. Three service agents manned the front counter, so the wait wasn't unbearably long. I found the agents very patient and cordial as I worked with them on extensive paperwork to ship out a registered package internationally. Given the easily accessible location and friendly service staff, I have no qualms about a return visit. read more
