I'd give this post office a half-star if I was able... I've lived at my current address for 24 years and the mail service, in the past three years, has been the worst it's ever been! I'm pretty sure I could be the Postmaster and do a better job... Quick examples: continual misdelivery of goods, mail delivery after dark (which makes misdelivery more common), no regular mail delivery at all (last happened on Christmas eve/ 12-24-2016; only parcels were distributed in the morning), slow customer counter service by unhappy employees (except for one individial), and as an Organization the USPS does not have a structured mechanism for the resolution of consumer issues/complaints, which makes it impossible for a consumer to get actionable customer service when it comes to issues/complaints. Its basically a Joke, and a complete failure of competence! read more

If they could ever deliver my mail and not someone else's mail they would get a better review. We have mail returned that is addressed correctly and receive other people's mail at least 2 to 3 times a month. The only good thing is that we know our neighbors well because we are always delivering their mail when it is misboxed. read more

Made a yelp account just to post this. Was given different times general delivery packages are sorted by 3 different employees after a package was 3 days late. Seems like theres a slew of misinformation from each different employee. Package was supposed to arrive on wednesday and wasnt even there friday night. Had to leave town on saturday and just told them to return it to sender. I am still convinced that they had the package and are terribly organized. DO NOT get general delivery sent here unless it is sent at least 2 weeks in advance. read more

Roy's lack of professionalism turned what should have been an easy and pleasant trip to the post office into a complicated mess. When I first arrived, I intended to use a large flat rate box. The slot where those boxes would usually be was empty, so I asked Roy if they had anymore in the back he curtly said "if we had them they would be out there." So, I looked for another box that would fit my needs. At this point it was only my sister and I in the post office, and Roy stood behind the desk watching silently. When we found a box I thought would fit my package, we weren't familiar with it since we'd never used any box beside the flat rate boxes. Roy watched as we tried to figure it out and when we finally concluded that we must have to buy tape to use the box, Roy stayed silent and failed to mention what we later realized which was that the box had tape on the side of it to use. Roy watched us struggle and was completely uncourteous towards us. At this point, two other customers walked in and we offered to let them go ahead of us as we were verifying the address. Once the address was verified and it was our turn, we walked to meet Roy at the desk. In the past, when I've used the flat rate box, the post office verbally asks for the address, asks me to confirm on the keypad and then prints out a sticker for the box. Apparently this isn't the process at this post office, which is fine, but instead of Roy being kind he shoved a marker at me and said I needed to write the address on the box. I started to write and he mumbled something at me that I couldn't hear and then I looked at him and he very rudely in a loud tone in front of other customers told me to "step aside." As I turned around to write the address, a white male came up to Roy after me, and Roy was nothing but sunshine and daisies with him. When I waited my turn again and made it back to Roy's desk, he was once again rude and curt. I am completely unimpressed and will not return. Next time I will take my business to UPS or Fedex as I expect that they will take care of my needs instead of silently watch me struggle. read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had, the lady at the front was extremely rude and not helpful at all. She rushed me through everything and was condescending. Worst experience I've ever had and ruined my entire day. Wouldn't recommend going there. Usually never get annoyed or agitated at people but this was ridiculous. read more

I recently spent 20 min waiting here while two workers, one of which I never saw, moved like over fed sloth. Once it was my turn I requested some box tape to seal up my package. Attendant informed me they no longer provided that service but I was welcome to purchase an entire roll from a display located 30' away on the other side of the room. At this point I thanked him and left. Drove 2 min down the road and mailed my package off at the ups store that entire process took 3 min and I was greeted with a "hello" and left with a "Good day, sir". I'm ashamed to think an ounce of my tax dollars contribute to this dinosaur. I do not recommend using this service if your value your time, money, and peace of mind. read more

I scheduled a free priority mail pick up at my house. I watched the mail carrier pull up, put mail in my mailbox, and then zoom away like a race car driver leaving a pit stop. So, I guess their package pick up doesn't work very well in this town. Yet ANOTHER fail by the folks at the U.S. Postal Service. Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced anywhere from a supervisor. Package showed it was in the Flagstaff Post office 10 days prior, but still in transit. She denied it had been there and offered no help whatsoever, except to wait. Supervisor stated 'she wasn't the Post Office', to which I said 'as a supervisor she most certainly was'. No offer of any kind to help, and when asked if she could do anything she coldly stated no, have a good day. read more

I've been living in Flagstaff for almost a decade now and the postal service here has never been great. But over the past 4-5 years it has really taken a nose dive. Missing mail and packages, items inexplicably returned to sender (after being missing for weeks), rude and unhelpful staff at the post office itself... the list goes on. But the two worst parts are: a.) Most of the carriers are so lazy that if they have to walk more than 10ft from truck to front door, they simply won't deliver your packages. They just leave you a slip saying to come pick it up yourself. B.) Nobody actually seems to know why this postal branch sucks so much. I've spoken to the local postmasters over the years and even written to the postmaster general; nobody has ever been able to give me a good reason for why there are essentially no standards here. Seriously, mail in most third world countries beats the USPS in Flagstaff. read more

Waited for 15 minutes while two gentlemen talked about their traffic tickets and what they did over the weekend. Once I was finally helped I was given the third degree about "killing more trees" by requesting an acceptance receipt when I had a receipt from the kiosk from buying the postage. The man then argued that they are the exact same receipt and refused to understand that the acceptance receipt proves they took the item, the postage receipt only proves bought postage. This is why you are failing USPS, hiring idiots like this and providing job security regardless of how they treat your customers. Will I be back, yep, it's a monopoly so I have to. Thanks for the frustration and loss of an hour to do a five minute job. read more

Horrible! They "Delivered" my package in my mailbox (Which never happened, its too big!) and the next day it still hadnt shown up. The local phone number leads to a shrieking beep and the first employee to "help" me looked and acted deader than tree bark, and the second jokingly glared me down and ended up talking down to me and not believing my package was not delivered. I was still trying to be polite with them but it was such awful service. These people are awful. read more

I'm happy with this post office. The people have always been very kind and direct. Nothing over-the-top so that's why only three stars. No outstanding customer service it's very average. I do like the location of this post office because it's right in between everything. It's a great little pitstop for when I need to return items from Ebay or mail things out. read more

Total jerks with little to no customer service skills. I worked with the "manager" Jessica about a missing package of mine they failed to deliver. Just by the mere tone in her voice during our conversation I could tell she could care less about the missing package so I asked to speak with a manager. Jessica then informed me she was the manager and hung up. That's the way to be professional and handle a customer service issue right? lol out of all government agencies the one I hate the most now is the U.S. Postal Service. My 86 year old mother came home to let me know that she felt pretty bothered by the service from some of the women in customer service who were helping her get a post office box. Very unfriendly and belittling. My mother and sister (66) were needing a temporary post office box. My mother who has worked hard for the schools here in Flagstaff for 30 years and always friendly to the school children. She has always taught us to always have respect for the customer, you never know what they are going through. My sister has worked hard for the government most of her life as a receptionist and medical worker and has always been kind. I felt that maybe a word might have an impact on guidelines for customer service department. I do want to mention they were helped by a gentleman there who was very kind. Kudo's to him. read more

I requested that my mail delivery be stopped on 5/10/18 and resumed on 5/15/18. However, delivery on 5/15 did not occur. I thought that I would wait an extra day. Early on 5/17/18, still without mail, I went to the post office with my confirmation number (CAH 30914 3616) to talk with a supervisor. She informed me the USPO was short handed and that the carrier just forgot to pick up the undelivered held mail. Mind you there was also no mail pickup for mail waiting in the box. Although my documents clearly stat that the hold was to end on 5/15/18 and that mail would be delivered on 5/15/18 she advised me I should have filed a 'cancellation' notice. I sure did not see that in the guidelines. It is now 8:15 p.m. on 5/17 and I still have no mail and no pickup. I will go back to the post office (6 miles) tomorrow I have always supported the USPO, but the service is very poor. Perhaps privatization is the answer. WFG read more

I was to Receive 2 packages today 1/2/15. I checked on line for location of such and it said out for delivery. At 9:00 PM it still said out for delivery. The other package! Carrier stated they left notification at my house about how they could leave package. I was home all day and there is no notice at Door or Mail Box. Sick of your laziness. Had a package that had to be signed for - from the IRS! - and not only did they not deliver it, they LOST it, after SIX times calling (they won't answer their phone), the NASTIEST old woman more or less told me 'eh, don't worry about it, they'll send another notice...' I just had my 5th package in just over a month lost. Three of the packages said they were delivered, though I never received them. On two of the packages, it was continuously claimed that no one was home and that a notice was left. I've never had a notice left, and have been home during each claimed attempt. I once ran across the street to the delivery driver and asked him if he had a package for me. He rummaged through and said that there was nothing for my name or address. 5 minutes later I received a tracking update that stated that I was not home and that a notice was left. I sent a large flat rate box that cost me nearly 20 bucks to send from Fort Worth to Flagstaff. We skyped as he opened it, only to find HALF THE CONTENTS MISSING! The little thieves actually had the audacity to open up the package, take (books, mind you - 3 cookbooks and an adult coloring book for his girlfriend), and leave the rest, (thankfully). Tried to file a theft report and OMG, the customer service sucks with the USPS main number. To top it off, (after being on conference call for 1:38:47 seconds, they tell me there's not much they can do, I will have to prove by pictures that what I claim was actually stolen. Really? Why the hell would I bother to stay on the phone that long if it wasn't stolen? The package was insured, but they don't care apparently. And the clerk here at my post office is one who needs to be fired, as well as whoever opened and received the package in Flagstaff. The clerk here was one of the ones I complained about to USPS, yet the main number tells her to call me back? She hung up as soon as she discovered I was the person who contacted her earlier. I called back only to find another wait time of over an hour. Why are these people paid so well at our expense? It doesn't take rocket science to figure out they saw FRAGILE written on the package, assumed it was a high value item, and opened it. The thing is, they were BOOKS! And they stole them anyway, hermetically re-sealing the perfectly undamaged box. They had NO reason to open it. I have never in my life heard of a partial package theft. Theives at Christmas...or anytime, I absolutely hate them. I saw all these reviews and I thought I would chime in with mine. read more

I came here to send a Christmas package out and well let's just say that it was never received, they charged me a but load to send 1 item and it was supposed to be delivered quickly and well I had nothing but problems when I tried to talk with the employees to figure out what could be done all I got was a run around and never ended in getting any money back or my package what a waste of time and money I will never use them again. read more
