Well i dont make it to this post office super often. I live on the other side of town and honestly dont go to a post office very often. The times that I have come into this post office though, the staff has seemed stressed out and not overly friendly. In my most recent visit, I didn't know if they had self serve. There are no obvious signs and long lines and no one around to ask. When I finally got up to the door, I asked if there was self serve as the employee was going to close the door. I opted to go over to the self serve. There is only one self serve station so be forewarned if you go over there. If anyone is in front of you they may take just as long as the line. It is on the west entrance. This post office is smaller as well and just not as user friendly. Will try to stick with the JFK office when i need postal needs. This one just has not ever been overly impressive. read more

I recently moved in with my partner and needed important documents to be sent to the apartment. Courier decided to not deliver my certified mail because "Adressee Unknown" yet I've received mail at the apartment before. Mail was sent a month ago and now it's lost because courier didn't bother coming to the door and verifying. Just go through UPS or FedEx if you need to send something important. It reached all the way to my neighborhood but since the courier decided not to deliver, I don't have the things I need. I talked to customer service and was told it was wrong of the courier to not at least knock and verify, something they should've done. read more

This location is terrible, especially when compared to the JFK post office on the other side of town. Each time I visit this location, the employees seem extremely grumpy and not able to help with anything that is remotely complicated. Lines are long, there seems to be no effort to move the line or apologize for the wait, and there is rarely a manager on site. I visited trying to get assistance for mail delivery when I worked at CSU Housing and was told to call a manager line repeatedly but no one ever answered. Not impressed. read more

I went in with a simple question. I was treated as though I was an imposition on the person's time. The other two employees were smiling and helping their customers. Lucky me, I got the cranky, snarky, condescending one. Really an unpleasant experience. I left without a real answer. read more

Every time I've needed help with something I've been gaslit by the staff, I feel like it's because they think I'm some kid that they don't have to treat with respect. From one public servant to another, it's very disappointing. read more

The staff will treat you like a last priority and their automated call system is just as helpful.

The mailman refuses to come to my door and get signature required delivery. I understand this is a local postmaster order. I am not about to have mailman leave highly valuable mail just sitting in my mailbox by the street. UPS, FedX, DHL, amazon, and even the pizza dude come to my door, but not the postman. read more

I had a very important package that was out for delivery 2 days ago but then was marked as "held at post office". Weird. I try to call to see whats going on and if i need to go in and get it. I don't want to go in unnecessarily because of covid but I've called several times and it just rings and eventually goes to busy signal and then the call ends, you can't even leave a message. Great service and kind, helpful staff, but the hours should be longer. Also, they sometimes do not fulfill regular mail delivery pickups despite the confirmation of the request. To avoid this, call them in the morning to remind them to pick it up that day. read more

Lost a package for several months and had errors with return to senders, our fault. But they kept my ski rack safe and even after forgetting about it, again my fault, they kept it safe and I was able to pick it up! Super nice staff, all masked and great! read more

I live in Wisconsin and sent my son a package at his new apartment, right after he moved in. The mail carrier said no one lived there so they sent the package back to Wisconsin. I sent 2 letters addressed to my son, and he put his name on the mail box. The package was sent back with a note from this mail person saying he lived there. Again the carrier wouldn't deliver it. I was getting notifications, so I alerted my son that they were sending his box back to me. He immediately went to the post office in Fort Collins and was able to stop it from being sent back. I have never dealt with a post office like this one. It is bad!!! read more

Cannot get through on the phone. Mail carrier continues to not close my mailbox and when it rains or the snow plow comes through, my mail gets ruined. Have lodged a complaint before but it still happens. Have lost a check that took months to replace because the mail was all wet. Have a sign on my mailbox to please close the door but it still is left open. As far as mail service at the building, I used to go there frequently but with shortened hours and not a lot of help, the line can often be out the door and there is a long wait. I drive across town where this does not happen. Also when trying to use the automated package machine, homeless folks were often in there and it did not feel safe. read more

The Fort Collins PS has managed to mistakenly reroute two different packages sent to me. One went to Glenwood Springs the other to Brighton, after being processed in the Fort Collins post office. They just shipped them somewhere else. For no discernible reason. If you want to actually get your mail in Fort Collins, have it sent UPS. read more

I love my postal person at Buckinghorse subdivision of Sidehill Fort Collins Colorado. Even though my terrible HOA and all the builders before have supplied them with a terrible location of mailboxes with wet grass and trees in front of them and no lighting and no protection and cheap boxes that face the North and rust and confusing numbers that don't make sense to anybody and hundreds of boxes together all done because the Builders of this place are cheap and this mail woman has done her best against all kinds of constant complaints that have nothing to do with her hard work. I gave her a post person bonus she sent me a post office pistcard thank-you and apparently I'm the only one in 8 years in Buckinghorse that has done so ...anyway I think the way our post boxes are here is terrible and I think that the postal workers are doing a magnificent job in the face of this through rain and sleet and snow and darkness kudos to my post office kudos to this young lady who's in charge of the route I thank you so much read more

I can't even rely on packages making it to their destination, or even being accepted in the system "in transit" anymore. I don't understand why employees aren't even scanning some packages being dropped off in the 24 hour kiosk drop box? It should be treated the same as a pickup, or dropping it off to the mail clerk in the lobby. Mail is mail, packages are packages. Even with the different classes of mail. It's all mail and should treated with respect and care to insure it's delivered. I'm relying on Etsy sales to stay afloat. Don't use the drop box, period. I was to avoid the busy lobby during business hours during the pandemic. I'll schedule pickups from now on...hopefully this works out. read more

Worst Post Office ever. They continually deliver my outgoing mail to wrong locations. I am contantly having to redeliver other peoples mail that was incorrectly delivered to my house. Most incompetent group of people ever. read more

I ordered all of my Christmas gifts on line this year. The only ones I have had issues on delivery with are the gifts delivered by USPS. Last evening I received a notice that an order from Bananna Republic was delivered via USPS to my mail box. I live in a multi-person building, our mailboxes are locked and inside in the lobby. I went down to retrieve my package and it was supposed to be three t-shirts. The package had been opened and one of the shirts was removed. The package, opened was put into my mailbox with no note on why or when it was noticed that it was opened. I called Bananna Republic and they refunded my money for the one t-shirt but could not order another as they were out of the color I wanted. I settled for another color. The mail person that put that package in my box had to have seen that it was open. My feeling is if you need something delivered on time and in one piece DO NOT use the USPS. I can see why they are struggling financially. read more

There are two supervisors that are really hurting this location. Gabe assured me he would fix an issue with my package on Saturday as it was shipped to the wrong location. He didn't do anything. I called back today to see what went wrong (again) and spoke to Clay, the most unprofessional and disrespectful agent I have ever spoken to. Clay should not be in customer service or any customer facing position. Avoid this location if possible. read more

The entire USPS is a horribly run business. They've lost over 4 (FOUR) Certified Mails with Return Receipts in the past few months, and when I tried to file a claim to get my money refunded, the claim got denied because I didn't file the claim within a certain time limit. They failed to tell me what the time limits are in their denial letter, but they should know that I "ran out of time" because of them and their incompetence... I waited several weeks for the Return Receipts, but nothing came. So I finally called, was on hold for 45 minutes and spoke with someone about the issue. They determined the mail was indeed lost and there wasn't anything they could do, but they would be in touch within 72 hours to give me follow up instructions. I waited a week to hear back from them and finally called back myself. I was on hold for another hour before speaking with someone who said all they could do was mail me a claim for for me to fill out and return to them so I could get a refund. It took over another week to get that form to me, upon which I filled out immediately and sent right back to them. 3 weeks later I get the letter denying my request for a refund because I "ran out of time". A complete disgrace to a federal business...take my money for Certified Mail and refuse to refund it when they lose that mail. read more
