The packing crew was quick, courteous and seemed competent. But later after seeing how a different BackBreakers crew unloaded and packed things the next day, I decided I would not use them to move my things into a house a year later. Particularly unnerving was the unwrapped TV set on the floor 3 feet from the door, lamp shades on top of glass lamp shades without any padding in between. I had not traveled the distance to supervise the unpacking at storage. My error. July 2025 I hired a different company to move items from storage into a home, and they discovered that a leg of an irreplaceable antique desk have been broken when it was placed into storage. I will need to hire a woodworker to repair the desk leg. Also lamp shades in a box were glass to glass without any padding around them. Two leather recliners have long-lasting indentations them from nesting upside down. In a box clearky marked "pictures" was the cookware top I'd been looking for a month. One particularly expensive original piece of art in frame was not wrapped at all and the frame set leaning against a wall in storage. Totally unacceptable. I do not recommend this company.

I was also impressed by the containers themselves; they the same material that shipping cargo is made of - corrugated metal - and my unit opened on both ends. And when you need to get to your things, just give Terry 2 or more days' notice, and he'll have your unit placed on the floor, tagged with your name. He was very flexible and accommodating to my schedule. He's been in the storage business many years. I was in transition, moving from Freeland to Seattle, so this worked out well for me. Once in my personal home, and the most recent when a pressurized fire suppressant pipe burst on the top floor of a 3-story building. I contacted him on Sunday in January that it was spewing out 30 to 100 gallons of water per minute for 30 minutes. He responded immediately and extracted hundreds of gallons of water from the building. What a blessing to help minimize the destructive power of water. His office manager, Judy, for the past 21 years, has been a great delight to work with because of her professionalism and cheerful demeanor. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would wholeheartedly do so.
