We previously made the appointment online weeks in advance because only specific post offices are only performing that service for passports. Once we arrive we've checked in went to the passport area we told them we had an appointment and the staff member stated that Kathleen will assist us right away and once she arrived we were in and out and under 15-20 minutes. We received excellent customer service experience from Kathleen at the US postal service she communicated with my son who is special needs and he understood where she was saying and she explains to him step by step the process. We appreciate her time and patience with my family. 0 if there was a line there it went through quickly they have plenty of special services that you need mail use the to use the kiosk you can get some stamps they have a little retail section check them out. read more

So we took our son to the USPS store to get his passport and picture taken for 9:30 AM. They opened a little late, and then the lady came out and asked who had an appointment. A white family and ourselves raised our hands. She was like, "we don't do double booking, one of you doesn't have an appointment." She asked for our confirmation and the white family had a print out of theirs while I showed the email from my phone as well as a PDF version I had saved on my phone. She instantly said, "yours is not legit, we have had a lot of people getting their appointments through third-party vendors." I informed her that my email literally came from USPS. But she continued to stand on the fact that my email was probably due to a third-party, and she instantly went with the white family. She made us into a walk in. When we finally get into the appointment, I politely asked her how she knew which one of us was the legit appointment as she never asked for our confirmation numbers, nor asked for our names or any kind of identification, when trying to determine who to take first. Her response was once again about how people have been getting scammed by these third-party vendors. I repeated my question and she responded with the same evasive answer, so a total of four times about how she can confirm. She got defensive and said that if we did not want to be helped, we could just reschedule or come back another time. I dropped the issue as I needed to get this done and I did not want to her to kick us out. I was fearful of asking for her name as she could also retaliate by canceling our appointment. read more

Let me be clear, LISA (in the passport office) WAS AMAZING. 5 STARS. It was her SUPERVISOR who was a HOT MESS. The worst, most terrible customer service. She truly made me feel like I was sitting there lying about getting my paperwork notarized. She started shredding my documents. She wouldn't even look me in the eye. I had to call UPS and put them on speaker phone so that she could hear the poor girl who notarized my documents. Eventually that racist supervisor WITH THE BIG MOLE RIGHT ABOVE HER LIP, just walked away knowing she was wrong. She kept saying over and over, "There's only one way to do this: the correct way!" Girl I have every possible original document right here on this table. For someone who works for the public, she sure is terrible with people. She needs to take notes from her employee Lisa on how to treat individuals. I hope Lisa gets a big fat promotion and fires that woman who is currently her boss. If I could give 0 stars I would. My grandmothers phone was stolen. Someone shipped it to this horrendous post office. I tracked it to confirm it. So I called 27 times. Got no answer. Of course you can't leave a message bc the box is so full from being neglected! Police said If they picked up the phone I would have had a chance at getting the phone back. Typical government office. We are required to bring copies of our own documents and be there 10 minutes early. Plan on 15 minutes. I arrived at 2:30 for my 2:45 appointment. There were three families waiting. At 3:05 a family of five came out a door that hadn't opened since I arrived. A few minutes later a guy comes out, checks on a couple names on his list, then goes on thru another door. It's now approaching 3:30 and he has yet to return. No one has been helped. This is ridiculous. If I didn't need to accompany my husband to retrieve his mother's remains I would not still be sitting here. read more

This review is for their passport acceptance office. I went down there - twice - because they're the only acceptance office in Fresno with hours compatible with working adults (the others all close at 2 or 3PM). However, even if you get there two hours before they close, it is likely you will not get to submit your application before they close. So we had to leave, and come back even earlier the next day, just to wait around for hours. If this was a private business, they'd have either hired more employees or gone out of business a long time ago. Note my complaint is only against their management - the individual employees are hard working, and have to deal with a bunch of people every day who are annoyed at getting turned away hours before closing. read more

Experience was on point.. Needed a first time passport.. Took all of 15 min for 2 of us.. First, don't show up at 11am when they open at 10:30am.. You can't expect them to just rush this it's a PASSPORT.. We showed up at 9:30am (ok too early, but it paid off) by 10:15am there were 15 people behind us.. Not one person had their stuff correctly together except us.. Having line conversation we were realizing that people don't do what they're supposed to do.. Don't come unprepared and then whine when they have to school you. People complaining are either entitled, lazy or misinformed and want the world to be responsible for their own actions.. Sorry.. No one is that special.. **Pay Attention** They can only facilitate the process. They don't have anything to do with, or have any knowledge of your application status. You'll have to check by internet or phone. They also keep your birth certificate or naturalization certificate and it gets returned to you by mail AFTER you're passport shows up.. A visit to the Post Office shouldn't be a chore. And Freno's is not. I visited them for renewing the Passport and honestly I am impressed with the friendliness of the staff and their ability to get things done efficiently. Certainly a good crew and usually a sign of good management. read more

I came here to renew my passport, I've been here for an hour now, they have yet to call ONE number. This is unbelievable, it's a full house and they have yet to call one number in the at best the last hour (since I got here). Meanwhile there are 3 employees chatting it up in the front doing NOTHING. What a waste, very shameful how they run this place. read more

I went in to mail a 8X10 envelope this afternoon and the postal worker was very rude. I got the envelope from them but it did not look like it pasted very well. I asked him if he could put a little piece of tape on it. His remark was, there some tape over there, so he wanted me to buy a roll of tape. I usually go to Hughes and Dakota post office because they would of put tape on it with no hesitation and their customer service is a five star. Next time I will go the extra miles for good service. I thought maybe he was in a bad mood because he had to work after Thanksgiving but still gives him no right to act rude. I said hi when I got to him because I didn't want him to think I was rude. But with the tape thing he made me fell like grabbing my envelope and leave. It's a good thing my husband kept me cool. Like I say if you don't like what your doing then find something where your happy at because only you make your day! read more

The people who work here are nice and helpful, but this P.O. is seriously understaffed. One person to process passport applications?Really? I went in to get my passport around 11 AM & not only had to wait 2 hours to be seen, but also received the worst customer service I've ever had. I actually downloaded this app & made a yelp account just because the service was so bad. I was told I had the wrong type of birth certificate & when I had questions pertaining to why, the lady turned around & called the next number. I went & spoke to a manager to complain about the service I've received after missing school to get the passport, also driving 30 minutes to the only location in town who will process passport applications, and she was very helpful and explained it all to me. Obviously the managerial staff is helpful, but the ladies who deal with passports, TERRIBLE SERVICE YOU ACTUALLY SUCK. WASTE OF TIME. read more

5 stars for Deborah! She was the nicest lady ever and made up for the wait. My brother and I got there around 2:30 on a Thursday and had about a 2hour and 15 min wait. However, get your number, go grab lunch for about an hour or so and come back! It's not that bad if you break it up like so. Adding a delivery confirmation to a regular first class mail is only 79 cents according to the USPS website. However, instead of admitting his mistakes, one of the clerks insisted to charge me $4 for certified mailing receipt, which I did not need. Avoid this post office unless you want to get inaccurate charges for mailing services. read more

The customer service here is pitiful. While I understand the supervisor (who posted the excellent review below) has been employed by USPS for 22 years, however it is time to seek a new venture when one begins to loathe the public they have committed to serve. I dread coming here because of the deflating, demeaning, and negative attitude. I fail to understand why one would not just want to help another person have a better day. read more

Went in to get my passport, waited in line for 45 mins only to have the person behind me, who waited for 5 minutes get called up first. When I complained, David, the worker, became very rude and arrogant and said get back in line or we will stop servicing the passport line. I felt discriminated against, and should people should not have to take this abuse from a postal employee. read more

The worst service to renew your passports. The place is so small there is not place to wait or sit when it so many people trying to get passports. People is treated like if we're criminals trying to get some type of help. A little window is all the open to help you. All the other GOVERMENT free assistance programs got better offices and help. Like welfare, workforce, food stamps, where people do not have to pay for service. So sad that American are treated worst other nationalities. read more

02/27/19 I had taken my dad to get a passport renewal since it expired and had been issued over 21 years ago. We must've gone on a busy day. Got there after 11 am but didn't get it processed till after 3 pm. There was only one person working. He was very patient. We had forms & passport photos ready so it took less than 10 minutes to get it processed/paid. We were asked for cash/debit payment. There were plenty of people that had #s before us but they left. Too bad there was not another staff person to direct people in getting forms completed & going elsewhere to take photos nearby while waiting to have their # called. This USPS Location ( E. St.) SUCKS!!!!! The passport application takes forever ( 30 mins. / no.)!!. They only have 2 staff. Why did you guys close the other locations that does passport issuance?!!!! And then can not accommodate? For adults that has no kids, on line application will work, but how about us with children? Most of the applicants here have kids and it's so inconvenient for everybody. Passport processing system is very poor! Each applicant takes 20-30 mins depending on the number of each family. Theres only one person who processes so if you arrive at 1030 am and you are number 10, you wont be entertained til 330pm..and oh by the way they have 1-2:15pm lunch break add it up to ur wait time..such a big hassle to your schedule. If you have a kid with your application you will have to pull them out of school not just once but twice. i arrived in the oofice at 9am and i was already the 9th person in line. Had to work 7pm, i guess i am not gonna have sleep today before going back to work and from night shift last night. I applied passport for my first kid it was as easy as sending a mail to the counter, no line at all. I tried calling other postal offices within the area Minnewawa, Woodward, Clovis, Kern and etc. But I guess they no longer process passports..Just fyi...:( read more

Applying for a passport on a Saturday where "no appointment needed" I should know that there would be a catch! Arrived at 11:10 and the hours of service are between 10:30 and 6:30 took my number just to find out there was 30 people ahead of me, one attendant taking 20 plus minutes per person, no restroom and oh yeah they close for lunch! this post office has the worst customer service ever, i came in to get my passport renewed at 12 and i didn't get helped till 6:00 the workers are extremely disrespectful & are very disorganized. the lady working during the time i came is named debra she was very impatient & rude. the number system does not help they would call numbers then go back or go to far forward. many people were waiting here & left because of how slow & disorganized they were. the lady with the curly hair & glasses left & at that time there was only one lady working & they didn't help any people while she was gone till she came back they started to call people again. overall i am very UNSATISFIED with the way they run this place it's very sad to see how the customer are treated. read more
