The post office itself is fine but the location is just a tad sketchy with a few homeless hanging around. They could do some more tree/bush trimming to expose more of the building. It's been 3 weeks since I went to speak to the post office worker regarding a possible theft in my apartment complex. Our mailman is super nice and I've never had an issue before; however, due to this possible theft or human error, my debit card was stolen and it sent my life into chaos. I was out about $900. I went to speak to my bank, canceled my card, reported it to the Fresno Police department, but not a single word or notice from the post office. This post office isn't close to my home so I've been out there now twice. I'll update if I receive word, but I just needed to verify whether a possible break in had occurred. They have the QR code scanner for returns. I went in to do a return via code given. Waited in long a little bit. The worker was very kind and apologized for the wait. I needed to drop a pre-paid package off and this was the closest Post Office to me at the time. I have never been to this one nor did I know that it was there. The sign is hidden behind trees and lots of overgrown bushes, so even with directions, it was difficult to find. Any who, the postmaster was very nice. There was a small line when I went (maybe about 10-ish). I was in and out in less than 5 mins. It's an older building and smelled like musky old boxes, but it got the job done. After speaking with a gentleman in the back (wish I had got his name since he was probably the most helpful person I've dealt with at this location and he deserves recognition for it) he was able to find my package that was allegedly attempted to be delivered the night prior. He said that it seemed like they never even loaded it on the truck but he had the warehouse guy hold it for me and I had to pick it up. Not ideal since I paid for shipping but he was helpful and I got my package. Not sure what else I could have asked for. Just wish the mailmen and woman were as helpful or even had a small percentage of the gentlemen who helped me work ethic in them. Growing up we would leave out drinks and snacks for our mailman. I'll be damned if my mail lady even waves back at me when I say hi. Half the time she just tosses the packages on the porch like she's mad she didn't become a doctor... anyways upgrading the one star to three since the young man was helpful. read more

Bummer. Had to make the drive to the post office as they had something there that wouldn't fit in my mailbox slot. Went in and rang the little buzzer at the package pick up door. And I waited. And I waited. And I watched the line inside the lobby turn over so I was looking at a whole new group of people. Another lady joined me at package pick up. I told her I had already rang the bell once, but if she wanted to ring it, go ahead. She did. And we both waited. Then a man appeared at the door and opened the top window. He got the items I was waiting for and I asked if we should have gone inside. He said no. The fact that they allow you to pay for upgraded shipping and over a month later your package is still sitting at the Fresno facility is ridiculous. If you know the postal service is unable to deliver 2 day shipping you shouldn't offer it. Charging customers for upgraded shipping when you can't even get the mail out is not okay. I have a business to run and my customers aren't getting their packages. And UPS often defers to USPS. And of course your phone lines are backed up for HOURS and no one answers the damn phone at your facility. I'm a disabled person so I can't just drive down to your office anytime I please. They are awful. Trying to charge me to repair their mailbox that's been damaged for over a year. Manager is a rude little skinny witch. You can't even ask her questions without her biting your head off. When you call they hunts pick up and hang up most times. Slow service and nothing ever gets there when they "guarantee" it will. It's still the cheapest way to ship things but be prepared for your packages to arrive 4-7 days later from their estimated time of delivery or at times never get there (or back to you). I would mail anything a week or two in advance of the date you want your package received. I have sent multiple packages over the years (about 20 per year) with only about 2% of them getting there with no trouble. Friendly tip: NEVER forgo insurance. I hate that this is my post office. They never answer the phone. They lose my packages constantly. Since I have never got anyone to answer the phone ever I am forced to waste my time and go in. I hate going in because the people who work obviously do not care at all. There is already a line of people upset that their packages are missing and the employees do nothing about it. They are rude and careless. They have no consent of urgency. I have a missing package again and now I'm going to have to regretfully go in because as usual no answer all morning on the phone. Pretty sure my mail carrier ripped off my apartment number on two of my packages that were arriving on the same day . The packages were undeliverable due to the apartment number on BOTH packages being scratched off and ripped off. The lady at the counter Lylac was very rude. She didn't even care what she was doing or didn't care to help me. Was flat out rude and didn't let me tell her what it was I needed. Then when I came back to her with the address on the box, she realized that since she didn't let me finish what I wanted to tell her, she realized it was her mistake because the box was suppose to go out of country. I'm starting to get really fed up with this postal office. They lost my mail and every time I tried to call, the phone just rang and rang and rang, then went to the busy dial tone. This happened when I called in the morning. When I finally was able to talk to someone I told him what the problem was and her just said "Uh we'll call you back" three weeks went by and NO CALL BACK! Then when I called them again, I was told they couldn't do anything because it had been a past a month since the mail piece had been sent out and I would have to call the DMV to get my problem fixed. Not trustworthy! Dropped off 4 packages here with prepaid labels, and none of them were shipped out. Looks like an employee thief stole all of them. Federal offense?! How does a package go missing, let alone all 4, without someone in house tampering with it. My mail carrier has delivered THREE of my packages to the wrong address. I called the post office to let them know that my tracking number says delivered but I haven't received it. The lady told me I was assuming and if they scanned it in the right area there is nothing they could do about. I had to contact my bank to get my money back all three times. So I started ordering my packages with signature confirmation and they always "attempted" the delivery and "left a notice" but I work from home and never heard a knock or the door bell ring or got a notice. This has to be the worse Post Office in Fresno. I always have problems because they are slow and very rude. Yesterday was just yet another incident where I walked in and the bigger white gal working there asked me what I was coming in for, I replied stamps. She then asked how was I paying and I replied cash which she then said ok the line starts here and pointed where I needed to move. Then a few minutes later a woman walks up behind me in a business suit and she asks her the same thing. She replied the same stamps and cash and the postal worker then says ok I can help you over here so you don't have to wait. I was like wait a minute how are you gonna help her when I replied the same and I have to be somewhere. She continued to help her then said oh I am sorry I can help you now. I was like wow, because you profiled me and didn't want to help you helped someone behind me so flagrantly in front of me? that was just crazy to me, for now on I will travel a few more miles just to get better service. If I could give this station zero stars I would. I am a disabled person, and I walk with a cane. It was close to closing time, probably 4:59 PM, or right at 5 o'clock. There was a postal worker at the door who was speaking with a woman there. He saw me coming up in pain, gimping along with my cane. He closed the doors on my face, turned his back to me, and as I held my "sorry we missed you" form, up in the air and stated I'm just here to pick up a package, he never even turned and said anything to me he just continued to walk away and closed another door. I wish that I could say that of all the times I have used this postal station, that I have met nice helpful people. This has to be the worst PO in the area. The first time was around Christmas. Ordered a gift for some one and it was addressed to my old address I had just moved a month prior (my wrong) and of course they want to make me feel horrible for putting my old address even tho I had already done my address change and was already getting my stuff forwarded. Come to find out the package was never delivered to my old address anyways! It was delivered to a completely different address. I don't think Nees and Lexington are that close in spelling to be sent to a complete different address. Luckily my building is managed by the same as the apartment it was left at. I had a post office box with Griffith Post Office, Fresno, CA, for almost 10 years, I had trouble paying my last renewal on time, I'm a senior citizen, so when I went to pay it the $38 fee was $60. Since I could no longer afford the PO box, They gave me my mail and I filled out and submitted a change of address about 3/15/2017. I went to the post office to see what the status of the address change was. They could not help me as changes are now sent to Sacrament, CA and not handled locally. I called the postal call center. He took my information and said the post master would call me. A person called and tried to look up my information and said he couldn't access it. I called the postal service call center again and they could find nothing online. He said somebody probably dropped the ball and didn't submit the change. Strange nobody has a record of the change I waiting for another call from the post master. I went online today and file a change of address form. I have had problems with Griffith before but nothing like this. I therefore can no longer trust the post office and will use them as little as possible and recommend everyone else to do the same. The post office needs to be shut down as is. The worst ist a month retirement check I receive and cannot pay some bills without it. read more
