What is up with the Glen Cove post office? I'm enrolled in informed Delivery and get an email every day showing me my mail for the day yet It's never in my mailbox. I receive my mail randomly. I can not express what a horrible experience I had here. I've never faced this much of racism at a post office before. And her name is Andrea. I would advise NOT going there if you get her and if you're Chinese. I had appt for my passport from 2-2:45pm. I arrived at 2:20 and the passport lady Andrea said right away I was late. Btw, that's how she greeted me. I said I'm sorry but my paperwork says it's from 2-2:45pm. Then she said I had to be there at 2:15pm the latest. But no where in the paperwork or on her paperwork says that. So I asked if I needed to reschedule. She handed me the form and told me to fill out. I asked if I need to reschedule. (Reason why I asked her because she looked so annoyed that I was there and she really didn't want to do it.) I gave her the opportunity to tell me to reschedule but she didn't. Before walking away, she slam the window closed. Again, rude but whatever. I dealt with it. Then I walked to fill out. 5mins later I was done and I rang the bell. No one answered. But I waited. And waited and waited. I rang the bell again. No one came. I even heard the bell throughout the postal office. But still no one came. Finally my husband went to the front to ask if there's going to be anyone doing passports. Finally another lady came to open the window and said we were late. I was annoyed at this point because we waited this whole time and no one came. I told her I rang the bell. She said no one heard it. Then finally Andrea appears at 2:45pm (with her pocketbook ready to leave work) and said "well you were late". I said to her that I asked if I needed to reschedule and you didn't say anything except for me to fill out forms. Then she said well I was late and she couldn't do my paperwork. I knew from the beginning she didn't want to do my paperwork. She wanted to leave at 2:45 which she was about to walk out. I also felt she saw that I'm a Chinese girl and felt the rush of a power play with me. Andrea was nasty, and rude. She couldn't wait to push me around to get her rush of joy. She needed to have that power trip to make her feel better about herself. I was livid at this point. Enough was enough. I called her out say she was rude and nasty from the beginning. I said you even shut the window in front of my face. What more did you need to feel superior??? Andrea greeted me by saying I was late, (which i wasn't). Then she slams the window shut in front of my face. Then she proceeds to make me wait at the window even after ringing the bell 2x. Then says she didn't hear the bell. At point point of arguing g she said I was suppose to confront her about the shutting the windows in front of my face if I felt insulted. ??? She's a piece of work. How can anyone NOT be insulted??? She very racist. She saw a Chinese girl coming up to the window for passports and she didn't want to do mine. She used all kinda of excuses not to do my passport. But then she took to next level but shutting the window, then pointing fingers in my face and making me wait... knowing she wasn't doing my passport. I never been so appalled in my life. I felt the hate she has when she saw me walked up to the window. She never wanted to do it.... Which I think partially because I was Chinese. But I bet if I was an anyone else BUT a Chinese lady, her attitude would have been different. read more

they don't even deserve a star. just went at because I had an appointment they were close might've been a glitch I understand but I hear the lady in the saying how she doesn't care that I presented myself they open at 9. the lady that I showed the screenshot of my appointment said she'll be right back and never cane back. didnt even say to come back or anything and if I went back with no appointment at 9 they definitely wouldn't have help me because I didn't have an appointmen. horrible serivce. it's not my fault that there website said to go a 8am. read more

I am leaving zero stars for this post office I spoke to a person by the name of Melanie to find out that this individual is a complete disrespectful vagrant. First of all they do not answer the phone all day long I have been calling for the past week to place a simple change of address and to see where my mail has disapeared to??????????????? no one knows what happened andwhen asked Melanie she says she doesnt know???? the one young lady at the counter said she was the postmaster she might as well be a peddler on the corner they would have had alot more respect for the cutomers. read more

Post Office. I usually do not have much need for the Post Office - most of my stuff is done online these days, but once in a while I still require something to be mailed. The Glen Cove Post office, like all post offices, offers a variety of shipping services, stamps and they also have a passport processing office at this location. The entry way is really cool- old school from way back in the day - there is no other way to describe it other than to see it. The clerks were super helpful and the line seemed to move right along - unlike some other post office locations where you can spend an eternity... Parking is somewhat limited in front- you have to park in the lots behind and walk around the place. read more

I call, I can't get anyone to pick up the phone. Packages have been lost! A random stranger called my cell phone to inform me they delivered my mail to their house across town. The business isn't being properly run. I truly thinking about getting a PO Box outside of Glen Cove. This is insane. read more

We've had our office in Glen Cove for 8 years. We're located in a building with 3 floors and several small offices on each floor. We typically have 3 different postmen who pickup and deliver mail. The wrong suite's mail is constantly in our mail slot along with our mail, some letters just never arrive "lost in the mail," the postmen never come in our office to pickup outgoing mail, sometimes if the mail does't fit in the slot the postman silently leaves our incoming mail on a random box of paper just inside the door. Where is the pride in one's job? Where is the professionalism? They also lost a Christmas package to be delivered to my sister's house- with no explanation. Make sure if you ship out of this P.O. you get the insurance. Good luck receiving your mail. read more

This Post Office has the worst service of any I have been in on Long Island. Always long lines due to one person being up front while the people in the back are clowning around. I hope and pray this one closes down and consolidates with the one in Glen Head. Much better service and the people are friendlier. I find it hard to believe the money these people make, the benefits they get as well as retirement. I get better service at a White Castle,,, and believe me... that is NOT A COMPLIMENT read more

I don't use this PO very often anymore as I moved, but when I'm back in GC, I use this PO. This service is great! Karen is wonderful! Personable and kind. You just have to park in the back and I have never waited longer then 10 minutes in the holiday season. Compared to other Post offices this one is a breeze. People who complain about this post office probably complain about everything. read more

There is absolutely no parking whatsoever. It may look cool and old, bust as for functionality, it is garbage.

Hands down the worst post office I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with. I do not get my mail in a timely fashion (why am I receiving envelopes in November that were posted in August?). They tell you your packages are not there when the tracking number says it arrived a week ago. I've tried to get my mail before they closed once, and the shut and locked the door in my face before their closing time (and they wonder why my mailbox is overflowing?). I've had a girl at the front desk complain to me about having to work on a Saturday morning. I honestly don't know what's going on there, but they need to do something about the poor service and keeping my mail from reaching me. read more

i am the first person to usually say mostly bad things about the usps overall , from the clerks to the non stop soaring rates to dirty floors and counters and unorganized mailing supplies but i must give some credit to this glen cove post office cause i was in and out in less then 5 minutes and the nice nubian sister clerk threw me no shade (god i got to stop watching basketball wives and housewives of atlanta). this post office is really old school fashion, the non attached building must be over 80 years old with the united states post office name carved in stone. the lobby is dark and looks like it never changed from years passed , it's simple with the clerks counter with no bulletproof plexiglass like the nyc branches and all supplies are filled and ready to be used. there is passport services available along with the basic stamps , packages, letters , etc to be mailed and shipped . there is limited parking in front and a bit more in back lot or just park across the street and wait for the never changing traffic light. i had a quick and uneventful visit at this post office and thats just fine with me. p.s. the postal clerk who helped me smiled and said good morning to me, i couldn't believe the kindness , i almost soiled myself . read more
