Hello. I was trying to do a money order today. It was 5 money orders for a large amount of money. The old lady (African American lady with blonde hair) at the register today gave me the wrong form. An 8105-B instead of an 8105-A. When I asked her about it she said that she was too busy and that she must have misplaced the form. I presented her the envelope of money after filling out the form. She was unable to use the computer properly and had to redo the money order multiple times. Then when she finally got the amount in she had me pay with card, after I told her I wanted to pay the fee with my card. She paid the entire total, not the fee, on my card. When I confronted her about it, she and another customer ganged up on me and told me that I was in the wrong and did not verbalize that I wanted to pay the order with cash. I showed you an envelope of cash, and requested to pay the fee. I'm not sure how much clearer I could have been. When I asked for a way to fix it, she said she did not know, and reiterated it was my fault. I then told her that I would be taking my business to the Walmart down the street. The workers there did the entire money order in 5 minutes. What poor customer service. read more

This place has changed! They had installed frontline clerk that willing and able to serve.

Upon entering this GOD forsaken location, an ignorant, decrepit, unethical low life employee said, "Ain't No Way, Ain't No Way!" This low life assumed I was going to mail three suitcases. As she summoned me to her counter, she stated she could not mail the suitcases. My intent was for her to measure the suitcases. I mailed four (4) suitcases 27 January 2026 from Bahrain, three (3) were delivered, the fourth is still missing and stolen via this post office, the measurements of the suitcases delivered doesn't match what this what is being reported and documented. I'm missing a suitcase that was stolen from this post office, and now it's being covered up by this post office, and the office of the inspector general... A classless, more ignorant investigator from USPS OIG is worse than the ignorant employee working in this location... By all means, mail your items other than USPS.... read more

had a package held at New Orleans distr center for 8 days beginning with the day it was supposed to be delivered. It finally makes it to this post office on a Saturday and they say they can't deliver because the business (a hotel) is closed and package will be delivered on the next business day. this is a part for a piece of equipment that has been out of service waiting on this part costing me $2000 per day read more

So It said my package was out for deliver. An hour later it said that my package was being held at this postal office by "customer request" which I never did. whoever is handing out these packages is lazy. I don't have a car so now I have to Uber there to recover my package. read more

Rude employees. They can't get anything done. They don't help. I've been trying to get the change of address corrected and this lady sent me to hell after 6 months of continuously trying. It is bc of people like HER that you can't get anything done. The problem is too complicated so they send you to hell. Disrespectful. Told me there wasn't a manager on sight. And of course she's lying bc every single LEGIT place of business has a manager on sight. She told me to never come back in there after how disrespected I was. I told her very clear what I needed and how it's been an ongoing problem. She started to take the next customer while I was speaking and said I wasn't letting her talk. She said only people who change address is Houston. So should I go to Houston to change my address then? She seemed to have 0 knowledge of how to even go about this situation. And if she doesn't know, she should direct me to someone who does. I've gone to other post offices and they say the only one that can directly help is the one that corresponds to your address. And they still can't help? Funny isn't it. Don't spend your time going in there if you don't have to. They never have enough workers on sight and you wait for too long of a time period. read more

Nice big post office with tons of PO boxes and supplies! Even self service kiosks! Ms. Cindy is super friendly! Along with the tip I mentioned, this is a huge post office that is on Manhattan Boulevard, right next to the public library. I needed to make copies of some documents before mailing them off. Fortunately this post office had a copy machine ($.20, no change is given so have change readily available) that I could use. There is a huge parking lot which is convenient. In addition, there are tons of post office boxes and supplies. There was even a self-service kiosk which is convenient but I'd rather speak to someone and give them my package. When I entered the line was long but several people were serving customers. By the time I was done with my few copies there was only one lady in front of me. Ms Cindy was very personable and helped me ship my package and guided me in getting the cheapest tracking information. If I'm in the neighborhood I would definitely go back to this post office! read more

Its a U.S. Post Office that we are all familiar with, and apparently its in much better condition that the main branch on Gretna Blvd. You cant get passports done here, just regular post office "things". PO box section is open 24/7 but not the counter part read more

This is the best post office on the west bank. Convenient - This post office is located on the west bank's most famous road. Sure Manhattan Blvd. may not have the allure of Bourbon Street, but around these parts, it's as good as it gets. Of course the post office is located on the more residential section of Manhattan so it may be hard to find when you're sipping two for one beers at Chilli's, but that is what GPS is for. Parking - There is plenty of it here. Plus it's easy to enter and exit unlike that pesky Gretna location with its "use caution when backing signs". Mailboxes - The boxes outside are perfect for letters and small packages. Inside there are larger openings to accommodate all your shipping needs. Staff - Believe it or not, the staff here have always been friendly and helpful when I have needed their services. When these employees "go postal" they do it with a smile and will bend over backwards to help you out. PO Boxes - OK, let me tell you a bit of a funny story. A while back my dad had a post office box here. He would take me to lunch during the week sometimes and I would go inside and pick up his mail. One day I went in to get his mail and there was a note that I had to see the employees to sign for a package. Being the helpful guy that I am, I waited in line to get the package. Much to my surprise the package was a giant envelope with an oil stained exterior, Spanish writing, an enormous amount of stamps and an lots of tape around the envelope. It was then that I realized there was likely a DEA or ATF Agent waiting to tackle me as soon as I walked outside. When I walked out the door and no one threw me to the ground I was pretty surprised, but boy did I ever let my dad have it. Turns out the package was some legitimate business thing and not anything illegal, but I didn't go get his mail anymore after that. If you are on the west bank and need the services of a post office, this is a good place to go. read more

My package was late ( days ( still haven't received it) , also you can't call the office because nobody answers the phone . Horrible service

I have used the box that we mail Our packages ourselves, inside the post office manhattan several Itunes but three times Now, my packages just disappear. Where do they go?? No I didn't use the most expensive method or track them. And I should have. But I just always trusted the U.S. mail. That is till I moved to to this area. It was almost 20$ to just send two blankets that were tiny, to California. They were Xmas gift and again of course, they never arrived. Last year, I sold a dress To a lady in Texas and it never arrived. I had to repay her 65$ Who is stealing our packages !!! Because I write my name and address in the box and their name and address to so their claim of the sticker falling off is invalid. And when you talk to them about it , they act like they dont believe you. To be fair, the last man I talked to, a few days ago, did genuinely seem to care. Sadly I will never use the U.S. Mail to mail a gift again . And will encourage my friends and family not to either:( how sad:( read more
