No one answers any phone.... Tried for several hours today... i am not receiving my mail... someone needs to be available to answer.

The most recent Post Master at the Hewitt, NJ location, Joe, has helped me out multiple times tracking down packages. We all know what a difficult job working at UsPs can be, and though he is always busy, he has taken the time to help me out when I needed it. It is much appreciated and I am thankful to have him as Post Master of my local office. read more

DO NOT GET YOUR PASSPORT PHOTOS HERE! I wish I had read Richard C's one-star review below before entrusting this post office with my family's passport photos. Our photos were also all rejected by the National Passport Center, and when I returned to the post office with the rejection letters, the employee gave me attitude and said that her photos were fine and that it was the National Passport Center that was in error. She then said that they couldn't retake the photos because they were out of photo paper, so she had been telling people to go to the Ringwood post office or Walgreens. read more

This office shouldn't exist. An absolutely rude and unprofessional worker Kayla told us we shouldn't bother when we were getting our sons passport renewed. She complained we were 15 minutes EARLY (No one except her and her co worker were present). Then she inquired to the date of our trip, when my husband stated it was the end of June she berated us and said the passport wouldn't come in time.When I said that maybe we should go to the NYC office to expedite she claimed that wouldn't work either. When I tried to take pictures of the documents she started yelling at us...they were our documents. Furthermore, when we got passports renewed here before they TOLD us to take pictures of everything. Good thing the conversation was taped since I walked in the post office door. Complete "jobsworth" and the office and individuals working there would rather tell you how they can't help you rather than doing absolutely anything. Kayla might need some help. read more

This is by far the worst possible post office in the area. The lady that works the counter here is absolutely miserable and if you come early enough in the day, she'll make sure your day will be as well!! If you are lucky enough to get the guy that works here at least you'll get a smile or a chuckle. Hewitt Post Office is so local to me, I've been a customer for almost a decade but while I like my driver, I will be going to west Milford from now on. I'm sorry that WE MAKE YOU do your jobs. This was over a year ago but went there to get my Pass Port done and it was horrible. My appointment was at 11 so I showed up a 10 minutes early just in case and they gave me a hard time, mind you no one else was there. Anyway I had to fill out paper work which I could have done those 10 minutes I was waiting. I wish I remembered his name but the guy that helped me you could tell he didn't want to be there at all. He just rushed through everything and when he was done just walked away and didn't even say goodbye. A week or so later I get something in the mail saying my photo for my Pass Port was wrong and would have to retake it. When I called guess who I got that guy again and he brushed it off like it wasn't their fault. I understand the whole Pass Port thing is a pain but he couldn't even do the picture right and then didn't want to take the blame for not doing his job right. Advice don't go to this place go to Walgreens in town and there not only will they do it right but will get greeted with a smile. If you don't want to go there then find another place even if it's a 2 hour drive!! read more
