We ordered live chicks, USPS did an amazing job getting them here!! Our chicks went from Missouri(Cackle) to IF in 2days!! They even put them on a plane from Boise to IF-even though they had time to put them on the truck(they went at 1am). The post office called me to let me know they were there & where I could pick them up even before they technically opened!! Only issue, my son went to pick them up on his way back from work, had left his ID in his lunchbox. He had a picture of his ID on his phone, proof that he was called, & obviously knew the name/address on the box(it was addressed to my 11yo in 4H), to & from. Nope. So he had to come home & go back, leaving the chicks for an additional 30min(not a big deal, but could have been)....&then the guy didn't even look at it, just enough that he had it. Kinda super silly!! They also weren't overly friendly, just kinda doing their job, but not unfriendly or rude either...European style customer service. Overall we were impressed by the service, but there was still room for improvement. read more

I used to have respect for my carriers but respect is earned darn it. Over two weeks in January no mail delivered or Picked up.... 1/23/2024 Waiting in long lines only to be sent to the yet other post office to wait in another long line to pick up my mail that the postman stopped delivering or picking up important mail I set out for him. Have lived in my house for 60 years and never had an issue with my mail before. Why now? Nothing has changed! At 80 years I have made sure to shovel the special pathway between my neighbor's house and mine that only the mailman uses. My mailbox is built into the front door. In extreme cold I have to plug it and set out a portable mailbox to save on my heat bill. Please I am waiting for important tax papers and to hear from my family. 1/24/2024 He walked by without delivering my mail again today. What else can I do to get my mail again??? 1/25/2024 .....yet another day he walks past my house without delivering my mail. He seems to be refusing to use the mail slot in my front door also. Absolutely garbage. The previous tenant failed to turn in the mail key and now I am being expected to pay $60 to access my mail. Why should I have to pay for someone else's damn mistake. Have you seen the damn economy lately? He's out of touch with people they all to see how $60 can literally be bordering a person between poverty and a lower class I cannot afford $60 for somebody else's mistake and should not have to have my mail withheld from me because I cannot afford it. read more

My mail is delivered anywhere from 4:30 to 8 pm and sometimes not at all. I have the app that tells me what I'll be receiving everyday but it doesn't do any good when the mail is not even delivered that day. The service used to be good but it has gotten increasingly worse over last year. Now not only does it take longer but costs more to use the mail service. When I've asked about my home delivery I get excuses, the most frequent being I'm at the end of a route. I guess that means I should expect my mail to be missed a couple days a week. read more

I was bummed there was no stamp vending machine, just like the previoius user commented about. If you offer a 24 hour lobby, ya oughta offer a 24 hour machine to get stamps...some of us can't make the open/close schedule. read more

This place sucks. My mail carrier comes from this postal station and I always get other people's mail and I would assume they get mine. There have been many occasions when I've been expecting something in the mail and it never arrives. Credit cards, checks, birthday cards, bills, all of the these items have been lost in the mail over the years and never been recieved. USPS is an absolute joke. read more

Woman at the desk was chewing bubble gum and mumbling to patrons while blowing bubbles as she walks through the office. Patron had trouble understanding her and the woman mockingly over-enunciated what she had just said to him. Unprofessional customer service. Please don't chew gum at work. Treat people with more respect. read more

I go to the 4th Street location, and have always been impressed with the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff. When there is a line, which can not be blamed on the staff behind the counter, they all take the time and energy to help. Helping even those of us will crazy questions.
