We dropped off 8 letters to be delivered to 8 different people a month ago and still NONE of them have received the letter. This post office is completely incompetent. Do NOT send your mail through this location. They have so many useless people working here they can't even execute simple, basic tasks that the rest of the post offices seem to execute at a high level. read more

I dropped off 5 packages at the inside drop box 2 weeks ago and none of them have even been scanned into the tracking system. There were thousands of dollars in merchandise in there. And now since they haven't even been scanned there is no evidence I dropped them off. They won't even look into it for me. They are retarded!! read more

Whenever we are going to be away, I fill out an online mail hold for me to pick up when I get back. I also go inside the post office and let them know that I've got a mail hold, they fill out a yellow card thing and say it's not gonna be a problem that when I get back to pick up my mail! This is the third time in a row that they still delivered all of my mail in my mailbox, I live in a apartment those mailboxes are small it was crammed in there. I guess there's nothing anybody can do because it is the United States post office but really be a little more efficient! So frustrating!!! read more

I am only here because my postal carrier didn't deliver mail and was expecting packages for Easter so had been waiting so when I checked they said they weren't able to and left notices. I think that my local postoffice should work harder at keeping people at 6feet distance . Yesterday in the 78th St PostOfc, the workers kept customers at 3ft instead of 6ft while asisting customers. OMG, this place is run so inefficiently, I can't believe anyone actually gets their mail. They have one rep working the front and usually at least 10 people waiting. I am there every day to pick up mail for a business. This is a P.O.Box just FYI. I pick up loan pmts sent to us, but for some reason I have to ask for our mail at least 3 of 5 days. It is supposed to be ready by 10 a.m. but that is not happening. Come on, the holidays are over!!!! Why are my books being routed from the correct PO box in KCK to a box in KCMO? Now I have lost 4 books that I really looked forward to receiving. Thriftbooks says they sent it to the correct address, so WHO changed my zip code. I sure didn't. Took a full month to get new mail keys. Request for keys was "lost" twice. Clerks did not receive my change of address or hold that was completed online. Lost two additional holds that were completed in person. Only after talking to the manager here was anyone able to find my mail and get me my mail keys. Jennifer (the new manager) is the only competent person working at this office. Hopefully she can get this location turned around. read more

So, my complaint of the season... SO irritated right now. I ordered a few special things for my kids for Easter from PA. My Mom and sister mailed them out at a ridiculous cost of nearly $20. Ok.. fine, as long as its here.. I can deal with that. However today, when the box arrives the mailman tells me I owe $18.95 in an over size fee. WHAT???? I say.. umm.. no I do most certainly not owe anything else. So, he won't let me have my package and I have to go to the post office to get it. Home with sick kids, I pull up the online pricing which for printing postage at HOME (this big option the post office offers to save money) its $18.78 or to go to the post office and get it, the cost is $34.30. I take a copy of my Mom's receipt, and the print out from their website. They go get my box with a overage charge of $18.95 on it (Which Math says that that plus what my Mom already paid was about $38.) and the clerk puts it on the scale and measures it telling me yes, the cost would be $32 not what we paid. I say, now.. this was mailed from home. What is the cost to mail from home?? I assume that is the cost if it was mailed from you.. another very rude woman who is always there and ALWAYS rude says, we don't have access to that information of the mailed from home fee and proceeds to take my box away when I refuse to pay the difference. I say, HOW can you charge me a higher fee equivalent to the in post office fee, after we used the at home printing/pre paid postage?? That is ridiculous, never mind that the $32 total cost she tells me is neither the $18.95 additional to my original fee that is marked on the box, nor the $34.30 in post office on their website. She proceeds to THROW my box!! THROW MY BOX! Off to the side. At this point I lose it, which is impressive for my usually exceptionally (publicly) polite and overly accommodating self. Needless to say, in front of 20 ppl In line I tell not to dare toss my box and if she broke anything I will be livid. And I asked for her supervisor. After bickering back and forth with this jack ass of a woman, in front of the very meek supervisor who finally just says to give me my box but isn't willing to go to bat for me in front of her hostile idiotic employee.... And do you know as I walk away the ignorant woman at 78th/Washington KANSAS CITY KS post office has the nerve to yell at me that I am wrong?? Whoa lady.. you do not know when to shut your mouth. So I proceed to loudly announce just what an idiot she is in front of each and every person in line. And I feel pretty good about that. Karma be darned I was at the end of my already short rope . Moral is.. if you have a package to mail, even if its more. GO TO UPS! Apparently Math, manners, and customer service are not things used within the USPS. Ya'll can do the math for me.. double check.. but 15801 to 66109 for a 14x14x14 box that only weighs 7.9 lbs neither comes up to $38 nor $32 and if you plan to use the post office for shipping.. watch out. They are trying to make money by ripping off children's Easter gifts to guilt you into paying more. And you know what??? The worst feeling is knowing there is NOTHING you can do about it. That woman will never get reprimanded, and the post office won't even take your complaints or care. She was completely and utterly wrong and didn't care what I said, she would NOT listen, she was only interested in getting me out the door and being right. read more

Magazines always arrived very late if I did get them and read through. Mail that looked like a check could be inside was opened by each corner so they could peek inside and retaped. My packages were damaged on purpose! I could tell this because I had a durable high quality box delivered that would not bend without absolute brute strength of being forced to bend in half like a book along the same crease they made in the middle of the box being forced to bend in both directions at least 50 times.They wanted the contents destroyed. Also, inside the box were extra reinforcements to insure it would not bend. So, the best part of the story was that this wasn't a picture. It was a wood grain dash kit for my car and the deliberate forced crease fold barely missed some pieces! I was very lucky! I also had packages repackaged and taped if it was something they didn't want and once a empty unsealed package delivered and the company I ordered from reshipped my item. My husband always got our mail as soon as it was delivered in the mailbox. We were glad to moved and don't have to deal with those thieves anymore! read more
