This is the most adorable little old-fashioned post office. It is something to just walk into to…read moresee the old gold colored post office boxes with key holes. The people who work at this post office are generally lovely. The Oakland Post Master is a cantankerous, angry man, who if you ask a question of him, raises his voice at you and starts to "preach" at you, depending on what question you asked. He apparently has been at the Oakland Post Office for quite a while and feels like he has the right to dictate local politics and to express his opinion on any topic. If I see him at the window, I say nothing, get my business done, and try to leave before he can go off on me. Don't get me wrong, everybody else that works there is 100% lovely. He is not frequently at the window, thank goodness. Otherwise it is a quaint, customer oriented, and kind place to be. I recommend it if he is not there.

That always bugged me since this is tax supported service and one that is being forced upon me. They are closed a lot more then they seem open. The lady working now is better and if it keep up, I'll write a new review with 4 stars. 5 stars for the cuteness effect.. small little Post Office situated in a gorgeous town with many large live oak trees and dirt roads. I love walking up to the post office with my girls to get the mail. I hate having to worry about if my mailbox is overstuffed because I forgot to pick it up and the hassle with having to know what carrier is shipping my online orders. USPS doesn't like and won't accept packages from FED EX or UPS. Pros - this post office is never super busy at holiday time so I can ship without the massive lines and headaches.

The official post office here is always packed and does not have good hours. There is a married couple who has run it as I mentioned for years. The most polite people. The store has all the supplies needed to mail any package or just regular mail. I have found that my packages when I ship from here, get there sooner that the regular post office. Lines are not long at all. Great hours of service.

It was an enjoyable drive (and located nearby Yellow Dog Eats if you want lunch while running errands). The building looked like the kind of USPS you'd find in a small town Hallmark movie. There was plenty of parking. It was pretty standard on the inside. There are packaging supplies available along with cards and gift cards. The employee and his manager were both really nice people. I can't remember the employee's name, but he is bilingual. He was patient with my questions and I appreciated that he didn't toss my package into the pile (like I have seen in other mail carriers locations). I was also pleasantly surprised to see it wasn't as costly as I thought to ship my package! I'm glad that this is now my closest USPS and can count on an enjoyable experience for my future visits.

It has super inconvenient hours (don't…read moreall government entities?) but the community I live in doesn't have a package drop, only a mail slot for letters. Because of this, I often come here with a backlog of packages that need to go out. The staff is seemingly spread thin so they maintain a blase attitude most of the time. The facility itself is super dark and outdated. They carry new packaging and stamps though, so it gets the job done.

They have Christmas themes with the general saying of "mailed from Christmas FL" and both red and green ink pads the lines are long-ish but the employees are wonderful. You might think the town was named for the popular winter holiday but it was actually named for Fort Christmas, which was built on Christmas Day 1837 during the Second Seminole War. The workers at this courthouse are some of the most unhelpful and unpleasant I've ever dealt with…read more Many of them act impatient and rude toward people who are simply trying to handle their business. I once waited for hours, only to find out that a staff member had removed my ticket number from the system -- something that should never happen. I tried to stay patient, but when I finally asked about it (because I noticed basically all customers were now gone), they just told me it "wasn't in the system." The entire process was frustrating and unprofessional. The way this courthouse is run is a complete joke. If you can avoid coming here, do yourself a favor and do so. My experience at the Orange County Courthouse was extremely disappointing. The staff and officers are often impatient and unprofessional, and many seem to forget that people come here already stressed and just trying to handle legal matters. At one hearing, I came to help a friend by translating. Even though my English is fluent and my Spanish is limited, the black woman judge approved me to translate anyway. When I struggled a little, she stopped me abruptly, told me to leave, and then began speaking broken Spanish herself -- which made the whole situation confusing and unnecessary. I was also surprised because she isn't Hispanic but knew enough to not need a translator so I don't know why she allowed me to be one. It felt humiliating and disrespectful, especially since I was only trying to help. After that, a courtroom Hispanic male officer asked me to leave completely and would not even allow me to sit quietly as a guest, even though other people were sitting and observing. He was being petty and abusing his little badge that gives him some sort of power, something he likely never has at home. The way both the judge and the officer handled the situation was completely unprofessional and made me feel publicly embarrassed for no reason. The courthouse staff, in general, seem frustrated as well as MISERABLE and take it out on visitors. Overall, this courthouse needs serious improvement in professionalism and basic respect for the public.
