This is a great spot for doing all those adult things. Dedicated parking lot. We came here for marriage license paperwork and both times there was barely any wait. The security guard was friendly and they check your temp before going in. All the seats are socially distanced. Both times the clerks were friendly and helpful. Would def recommend this branch verses going downtown.

First I must say their security needs to get it together they are slow I mean really really slow it took me almost 30 minutes to get through security and when I got close to the front the line was even bigger than when I got in it so definitely prepare for the cattle hurdling through the que! Overall it is what it is if you've been here before you know what I mean so just do yourself a favor and find things to do in the large quiet room!

If you do need to be rescheduled or excused, you can do it online as well. I am now very happy that you can get email notices the day before if you need to report. The courthouse is located in downtown, and there is a parking garage that is free for jurors. Walking to the courthouse from the garage isn't far. You do need to go though security like in an airport. The wait can be a little long, but the security staff (Allied Universal) are mostly polite and helpful. The open doors for you, give you bins, and help you with your items during screening. After security, you go through a door that leads you to the jury room in the first floor. Check in at the jury lobby is pretty easy. You are given your juror number and wait in the lobby. The lobby is spacious with decent amount of seating, a work center, small cafe, and even a place to play board games when waiting. Around 8:30, a clerk will introduce the procedure and explain the process. If your number gets called, you will get to go to the main court room and get interviewed for potential juror. The wait to get called can be long, and chances are you may never get called. Thus, you can be in the room for 4 to 5 hours, then get relieved afterwards. The staff is very polite and helpful during the process. Be sure to get your parking validated and your jury service signed when you completed your duty. I really enjoy doing it as the staff are very polite and helpful in explaining the process. I wish the TVs can show the juror numbers when getting reported, but you get an endless loop of all about the judges instead. I would love to hear some background music as it can get pretty quiet sometimes. However, you are welcome to use your phones and Internet provided you follow the rules listed. Internet is free, but vending machines looked to be expensive. Not sure how expensive is the cafe. This review is only for the jury duty, which I had a nice experience today. The staff including security is pretty nice and helpful, and the lobby is clean and have enough amenities for the jurors. I wish there was some music or some form of non disruptive entertainment, but at least we can use the Internet. I am always proud to serve when needed as it provides all people to receive a fair trial. Overall: B+

The courthouse complex is huge, however, it's not too complicated to find where you're going. The multitude of signs posted inside and out make it relatively easy to navigate. I'll be visiting the same office again very soon for our passports when we finally take our honeymoon cruise and am actually looking forward to it!

With a little bit of research, I learned that this branch is "a historic landmark designed by Louis Simon in a Northern Italian Palazzo Revival style." It opened in the early 1940s, and its dawns GRAND features, like high ceilings, marble flooring, ornate bronze doors, bronze lock boxes, and many other unique features that brings it its character. It serves as both a post office and a hub for the Catholic Diocese. As it relates to me, it is walkable from my job - so on days when the weather is nice, I opted to walk. When I don't walk, I drive and they have a limited amount of parking but there is parking available on the street and surrounding areas. The wait is usually not too bad - unless you are going during peak hours. The staff is nice and helpful. They usually have everything I am looking for with the exception of some speciality box sizes - which can simply be secured via their website. The price is the price! We already know how hard our US postal workers have to work, so I patron the postal office as much as I possibly can.

I have always admired this sculpture at the entrance to Loch Haven Park off of Princeton in Orlando…read morebut I only recently learned about its connection to space. Loch Haven Park is located between three lakes and is home to the art and science museums, a firefighting museum and two theaters. Rocket Thrower is a 1963 bronze sculpture by American sculptor Donald De Lue (October 5, 1897- August 26, 1988). It resides in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens New York City. De Lue was a sculptor best known for his public monuments. He studied at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and for five years in Paris. In 1941, he won a competition to create sculpture for the U.S. Post Office and Courthouse Building in Philadelphia. De Lue's won many awards throughout is acclaimed art career and his works can be found in many museums across America. Rock Thrower was created for the 1964 World's Fair to celebrate man's entrance into space. The statue depicts a God like man crouching on one leg as he launches a small sphere into the sky with trail of flames. His left hand reaches for the sky as a swirl of stars encircle the path of the rocket. De Lue explained the work as "the spiritual concept of man's relationship to space and his venturesome spirit backed up by all the powers of his intelligence for the exploration of a new dimension." At the time it was released not all of the art critics were as enamored of it as I am. This replica of Rocket Thrower was commissioned for Loch Haven Park but was modified before it was installed in 1987. On January 28, 1986, the Space Shuttle Challenger broke apart 73 seconds into its flight, killing all seven crew members aboard. Stars representing each of the Challenger Space Shuttle Astronauts were added to the tail of the comet. This touching tribute to the Challenger crew is a poignant reminder of their sacrifice and of Orlando's connection to the space program.

Also, arrive 30 minutes early- for 2 reasons: parking- while there are places around the building to park on the street, good luck finding a space. I ended up simply parking in the garage- which, by the way, costs $20 for 2 hours. Also, you can leave the garage through 2 doors, but those same doors are locked from the outside, so you have to walk all the way around when you leave to get to your car. Upon entering the building, you will be asked if you have a reservation, and you will have to show it to the security guard. Once in, be prepared for airport security- removing all metal, going through a metal detector, and being wanded. For me, anyway, after that, everything was a breeze. Upon entering the 3rd floor, I was again asked if I had a reservation and had to show it to the security guard, who in turn directed me to the kiosk where I signed in and was given a paper ticket. I was given a number that corresponded to a screen. I sat down in a very uncrowded room, and a few minutes later, my number came up; they also sent me a text. I had a very pleasant agent who helped me do a name change on my social security card, and I was done in less than 10 minutes! I headed back down and got in my car, paid for parking on the way out, and was on my way!

I CANNOT get through their screening website even to get an appointment. When I called the published number for the local office, I was really speaking to the National office. The system is so inept that after confirming my appointment, I asked her if it was the location I am familiar with, she explained it was not. She explained that according to my Zip Code, that is the office the system generates and became 'snippy' with me. The irony is that the office closest to home has my same Zip Code yet the system does not allow them to make an appointment with that office. From our experience and that of friends, people get there at 6:00 am in order to get an appointment to be seen that day. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! to say the least!!!
