Since we wanted to send a letter priority mail, we needed to wait in line, which was quite extensive (living in a smaller community, we sometimes have lines at our Post office; but nothing like this). The staff we witnessed, seemed to range from pleasant and helpful, to removed and indifferent. Once we engaged with our staff person (who seemed somewhat removed, from a distance), she became much more open and friendly, when we approached her with those same attitudes. If one interacts daily with hundreds of people, many of whom are frustrated and tired of waiting; it's understandable one may stay removed, until knowing what's confronting them. read more

I stopped in here on a couple of different days because it was convenient and I had a couple of things I had to take care of. There is plenty of parking. There are some handicap spaces near the entrance. The entrance is not handicap accessible, but there are no stairs For entry. On my first trip the line was pretty long. Still, they handled things very efficiently and my weight wasn't too long. I explained why I was there and they took care of me in a matter of minutes. On my second trip I had another bit of business that I thought I had all set. I ended up having to fill out some paperwork there, but there was no line when I got there and only two people by the time I finish the paperwork. someone in that office stole the package i sent out. for 10 days tracking showed alert delivery confirmation i called for days many times each day this office never answers their phone. i put in a claim to have them find it just 2 days later they gave up and said its lost they said it was not a label problem getting damaged or some other type thing so there is no other thing to think then one of their workers stealing it as it was never scanned out of that office they gave up on it and i am out $250 beware this is the worst post office ever lousy service theft of packages and workers that refuse to answer phones. i am reporting them to the washington d.c main postal office!! read more

Absolutely awful experience every single time I come here. The staff is consistently rude, miserable-looking, and completely lacking in basic customer service. It's like they go out of their way to make you feel like an inconvenience. If you clearly hate your job this much, why choose a role that requires interacting with the public? No one expects red carpet treatment, but a little decency and professionalism shouldn't be too much to ask. You walk in and immediately feel the tension, nobody smiles, nobody greets you, and forget about asking questions unless you enjoy being snapped at or ignored altogether. Hurricane Milton was over 10/10/2024 at 12pm. Yet USPS on turkey lake as I am sure in all of Florida was still closed Friday 10/11/2024. Notice says-Closed until further notice due to Milton. That's your tax dollar working hard for you America. Everyone else is back at work but not federal employees. Unbelievable. Good job post master. Monday is a holiday. So PO has Wednesday to Monday off. Now the PO has to pay OT next week cuz they have to catch up due to hurricane closure. It's like going back in time, the lines are almost always to the door, they never answer the phone, The staff always looks like they're in a bad mood and when you finally get to speak to one of them you can confirm, yes they are in a bad mood and no sense of urgency. I wish this post office was better managed. I wish the post office had customer service training for their employees at this post office. Sadly, I live in this zip code, [22years now], but I go out of my way to go to another post office when I need to visit, purely because the service here is deplorable. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. I was told that they do not put the USPS priority boxes out in the lobby area [as they are in all other post office locations] because they are 'a commodity' and the office needs to keep them behind the counter. How is that 'commodity' going to make any money for the agency if the public has NO readily available ACCESS to the boxes so they can be packed and mailed!? Who's ridiculous rule is this? I have never seen anything like this place. For the money postal workers are paid, along with the wonderful retirement and benefit plans they have, good customer service skills should be REQUIRED. My job pays less than a postal worker, but my company requires us to use great customer service skills, and I am glad to do so. At the end of a day, I KNOW I have delivered the BEST I have to give to my customers. I doubt that most, if not all, postal workers at this post office can say they have delivered the best they have to offer as far as service to the public. My comments are SPECIFIC to this location ONLY. Other post offices in the area are just fine. I don't know what causes this place to be such an unpleasant place to visit. Great Location. Terrible Customer Service. I went here to replace a malfunctioning mailbox key. What I got instead was a nasty and condescending help desk employee who instead of actually helping proceeded to tell me all the reasons why a non-functioning mailbox key was really my fault. He claimed it "baffled him how people just let these things happen". He then went on to lecture me about how irresponsible I was. It was a completely unnecessary exchange. Why does every post office has to have miserable staff? Why can't we have a decent experience while at the post office?

How do you rate a post office? Its tough because the atmosphere, experience and situations are different each time you walk in ... especially with this post office. This is my neighborhood post office and when I come here, I never know what I'm walking in to. As to be expected, there is sometimes a line out the door and there might be two workers on duty and the "desks" in the main room. Sometimes you walk in and there are only a couple of people in line and there are three people working at the "desks." Its very inconsistent, but alas, its the post office. What does seem to be consistent however, is the lack of polite human interaction at these desks. I've tried approaching with a smile, I've tried approaching with a serious face, I've tried it all and each time I'm greeted with the notion that I'm somehow bothering the folks at the "desks" with my postage needs. I want to bow and apologize for my presence when I leave. Its that weird. Sometimes they have a manager in the main room when there is a large line to help with questions, etc. This is also a hit or miss experience. Depending on who the manager is that day, you may be helped by this person or not. One day I just needed a non-flat rate box and the manager sent me to stand in another line in the lobby. He proceeded to help everyone else in line. I just needed a box! Geeeeeeesh. So, with the main room where the transactions with humans take place, take a deep breath and hope for the best. Now, if you happen to have an issue that requires you talk to the help window in the lobby (no transactions here ... only at the machine next to the window), you will most likely have a very slow but a better experience. I've had to go to this window for boxes, missing mail and other issues and the two ladies to work this window are fantastic. You will wait here as they are dealing with bigger issues rather than what is happening in the main room, but at least they are helpful and polite. I've also had a great experience renewing my passport with the lady in that office. She was extremely patient with me and helpful when I didn't have all of my information. So, its a mixed review here. My advice is, if you can, just do most of your mailing online ... (if not in a rush) ... you can order boxes, print postage, schedule a pick up, etc. You also have the option to purchase postage at the big machine in the front lobby. It will save you time and stress. read more

The employees at this location have to be the RUDEST I have ever met. I am local to Orlando and just left an appointment to get a passport for my daughter. "Clerk 05" (which shows on my receipt) treated me like I was pretty much worthless. She must really hate her life and job. It's very terrible service . I dropped off my post card for every door delivery mail and paid and gave the lady name Michelle the contract . So she put the contract in the cashier draw and forgot to give it to the mail man , so they don't know what to do , the mail man bring the post card back to us and ask me what's this ? So I explained to him and he call the manager , so he said he will bring it back and give it to the right rout mail man so they can give to the neighbors. After 3 days I go to online and check if they did delivery the post card . Guess what ? Nothing is pop up . This is one of the worst post offices! It is closest to my home, therefore I frequent out of necessity. I agree with the prior reviews that the people aiding in the waiting line are rude and angry. I also have issue when I set up prior travel notification aka hold mail...the carrier will bend and ruin important documents/packages by jamming into our small community lockbox when there are larger lock boxes available. Be careful. I posted 4 Christmas cards. Nothing in them. Just regular cards. The weight for the cards came back as over half a pound EACH. Common sense tells you there is no way on earth that is correct. The employee displayed typical USPS rudeness when I asked her to weigh them again on a different scale. After a bit of complaining, she finally did and of course the original weight was wrong. I have to disagree with David about the wait times. Every time I have gone to this location there are several people in line and the service is sub-par. On occasion they have had an employee walking around trying to help people in line but they treat you as if you are stupid if you don't have the correct forms filled out. The worst experience I have had at this location was when Dave, a window clerk, told me I was not allowed to use "his tape" to adhere a label to my package. But was told had to come back to finish the packing then drop it off and I said I don't have time. So I was told I had to pay for TAPE just to tape the paper. The customer service was great. I forgot the lady's name (I'm sorry)....I was on vacation and needed to mail out some of the souvenirs that I hoarded during my trip. I packaged them up in a flat rate shipping box and I didn't have to pay for tape . The Caribbean lady was friendly and was joking with customers. I was cracking up while I was waiting on line. Others were not as amused but, that's ok. I brought my package to the counter and she weighed my package. She asked if I was willing to repackage my box. I was confused and gave her a funny look, I have non-perishables and no restricted items. She paused for effect and told me that I will save money..."you would like to keep as much in your wallet right?" I smiled, agreed and repackaged the box. I saved 4-5 bucks on the package. I came back to the front of the line and a lady that was in line blocked me from going up to the counter. She thought I skipping and decided to dole out some vigilante justice and told another lady to go to the counter. The post office rep and I started snickering at the silliness. I walked up to the counter and finished the transaction. She was awesome and made the wait/process bearable haha. read more
