The staff we witnessed, seemed to range from pleasant and helpful, to removed and indifferent. Once we engaged with our staff person (who seemed somewhat removed, from a distance), she became much more open and friendly, when we approached her with those same attitudes. If one interacts daily with hundreds of people, many of whom are frustrated and tired of waiting; it's understandable one may stay removed, until knowing what's confronting them.

ONE time I had someone be very helpful, but that was AFTER she barked at me to get out because they had 4 people already in their little room. I have never seen a post office keep ALL the shipping supplies in a room only 4 people can be in at a time. So you need to get a label for your package? You gotta wait in line (which can be very long), get your label or flat-rate box, and leave the room to get your package ready, then get BACK in line. The time the woman barked at me all I did was stick my head in to ask if I could grab a label; and she said, "OUT! Only 4 at a time!" So after waiting in line for 10 minutes, two of the families in line let me go before them since I ONLY NEEDED A LABEL. Once I got my package all addressed and ready to go, I got BACK in line. To ship ONE package took me a half hour because of this back alley post office. I've probably gone about a dozen times and EVERY TIME have had a negative experience with these workers. Clearly I'm too nice, because I keep giving them a chance. My recommendation, though, is drive a little further to another one, unless you're a glutton for punishment and like being treated like gum on the bottom of their shoe.

There is a Spanish lady with a terrible New York attitude that barks at people when they walk in the door if there are more than four people in the lobby. I actually asked her one day if she enjoys her job, she responded "if you want me to be honest no I don't enjoy my job." All of the shipping inventory is in the lobby, so even if you are just grabbing a prepaid box you still have to wait. Government inefficiencies at its finest. I exercise patience and try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but in my dozens and dozens of trips to this local Postal Service. I have never had a positive interaction with this woman. The man that works there is fantastic to interact with.

Although it was hard to find parking when I stopped, I chalked it up to the season. I've been coming to this post office for a lot of years because it's the closest one to where we…read morelive. It's not technically our post office so we're usually here just to ship packages. On this occasion we stopped in as we had a return to make and they required it to be returned through the USPS. On this particular occasion when we arrived they weren't super busy and there were only a couple of people in line. They still have dividers up protecting the employees but the process was very fluid. Our only issue was that the package we were returning was not sealed and they don't normally have tape available. We were lucky in that they were able to find some and seal it for us. Employees here are generally very friendly and are very knowledgeable about their jobs.
