why do i even bother to write the review when you can read just about every review on here and see this location is actually hell on earth . From their limited parking spaces to the single window they have open to service everyone . That means if there's anyone in front of you that doesn't have their act together , you will have to wait and wait and wait and wait . I had no choice in coming here as i was directed to this location by the post office 800 number based upon my address After i leave here today I will never be back and i just hope they just give up on this location and shut it down read more

This location is notorious for the problems it causes people. The first thing you'll see when you look up the specs of 4885 E Cary Avenue, is an overwhelming majority of people who have reported packages easily lost in transit, packages that have arrived damaged, and mail that oftentimes has not arrived at all. I cannot imagine there's not a good few of these same people who have gone through the proper channels to file a complaint, only to be told that THEY should be the ones to fix it, not the post office, or anyone affiliated with them. Unfortunately, accountability is everybody's favorite game of Hot Potato in Las Vegas. Live here long enough, and you'll find out you're worth less than a single bulb on the grand sign of Sunset Station . . . when it's blown. I have also posted my experience, along with the experiences of others, on Google Reviews. Essentially, this is a copy-pasted version of that. I attached a bunch of photos to that one, too, actually. This USPS location is endorsing a mail courier with retaliative tendencies, who has recently admitted his intentions after my and my family's failed efforts to receive our packages as they are scheduled for delivery. We have tried several times to ask outright for this courier's name in more than one way: once during an active report, again at the kiosk at the post office, and a final time from the man himself. All efforts at identifying him by such have been noncompliant. With that said, I would like to inform anybody to specifically be wary of a courier who is male, middle-aged, has long gray hair, is somewhat overweight, and has facial hair. He typically operates a mail delivery van with the code 0336533. He is assigned to zip code 89156 in Las Vegas. He has been documented verbally admitting to the intentional obstruction of mail in direct response to a report made about his inaction to correct previously misdelivered mail that had a value of over $200. We filed a report against this courier because he misdelivered our mail. Not just that, but we had confronted him minutes after he had marked that prior package as delivered when it was not. He had said he would have to go back to the box and check it out, but this reportedly did not happen until at least 24 hours following us bringing it to his attention. We presented two options to consider how it had happened: The mail courier delivered the package to the wrong box and somebody else was able to take it, or he took it for himself. Our report led nowhere, as we had mistakenly assumed the missing package was also an envelope, and only after receiving a replacement covered by UPS did we find out it was a small brown box. To USPS, that was checkmate. Supervisor Michael Werner noted that we should order our packages as signature required from here on when applicable, so we did. On Friday, September 27, there was a signature requirement on a package marked as out for delivery. At 2:49PM, it changed to "held at post office per customer request." Due to the location of the package not being present in tracking, we wound up at a post office in North Las Vegas, where a supervisor proceeded to track the package to 4885 E Cary Ave. The supervisor noted it was abnormal for the scanner this courier was using to not show its precise location. The post office had closed for the day. We went home and checked our mailbox out of curiosity to find a green vacancy slip claiming that the address had no occupants, and to hold the mail at the post office. The post office was duct taped over. Saturday, September 28, we arrived at the post office to collect our mail. We were unable to obtain Saturday's mail, only the day prior's. A woman at the kiosk made a copy of the vacancy slip and said a complaint had been forwarded to MDO, or upper management. Nothing since. Sunday, September 29, Michael Werner contacted us once again to tell us that our mail had been put on hold due to an "ongoing investigation involving a motor vehicle incident" on September 18. Our only interaction with the mailman on that date was our vehicle pulling up a distance behind him, and my mother stepping out to check the mail. She did not even speak to him. Per photographic evidence, he and his vehicle were fine. Today, Monday, September 30, two packages were marked out for delivery on 6:10AM. We watched as the courier filled out our community mailbox, then we promptly went to check it. He put in a 3849. We followed him down the next street over and prompted him to pull over so that we could request our packages. He admitted he was withholding our mail due to the contents of the report we had launched on him prior. This same courier has marked our packages as delivered as of 4:25PM. I recorded us checking the box immediately after each delivery notification. Nothing there. Obviously. We did what was told of us by a supervisor and are now getting punished as a result. Today it opened @0920, but personally I don't care. I had to wait outside with 6 other people for 20 minutes in the cold, and I seemed to be the only one who wasn't complaining. I understand it's normal everyday people that work this job. Just as it's possible for YOU to be late and or running late to work doesn't mean other people can't. You're not above them, I'm not above them so don't treat others as if you're above them. I get it's inconvenient, but by how many times this location is opening late what do you expect? People complain about how long the wait times are but don't take the time to do their own research online. The USPS website has a FAQ's. I don't know how many others lack common sense, but 3 people in front of me asked a question to the staff member assisting them and I found out their answer within 2 minutes on my phone. Overall, the location is fine but the people that come here asking questions that can be easily answered by a simple search on USPS make the wait times even longer. It's cold. Waiting outside in the cold sucks. You know what makes that even worse? Constant complaining on being cold, when there are others in the same exact situation. Suck it up, it sucks to suck. read more

Literally the WORST post office I've ever dealt with. Lies right to you, cancels package pickups, never answers their phone, and refuses to deliver certified mail properly after they were instructed to by the USPS consumer affairs. They pretend to want to help you and then they don't. Their postal worker who delivers to my area constantly throws packages at my door instead of putting them down on the ground like a normal person or knocking and waiting for me to grab them. I truly wish 0 stars were an option. The carriers are thieves, liars and criminals. We have been missing mail for weeks now. A package was never delivered, and now no one knows where it is. The mail carrier called my husband a racist, and outright lied to her supervisor, as well as our apartment manager. Upon visiting this specific post office on Carey, the window clerk was rude and unprofessional, the supervisor on duty left me waiting for an hour and a half, and never showed up. I've been given packages in the parcel locker 5 times that I can't access because the lock tumbler is damaged. I've had to wait weeks for someone to get my mail and I've requested to have the parcel box repaired or not used 5 times. O Star if possible. Out of 100% delivery guys working here only 10% are doing these jobs properly. Some are too lazy to come to our house to drop off certified mails/packages that needs signatures and would just leave a Notice Slip (sometimes printed ones) on the mailbox. Others won't even care if it was the right/wrong address where they drop the package, and my neighbors had to come to our house to deliver it. Come on! What if it wasn't a good neighbor and would just claim the package herself/himself!! What harm is there to check the address before dropping the package? Is it hard? Honestly I am too tired of USPS. This is the worst post office with the most incompetent mailmen or maybe thieves for all I know! I constantly get packages scanned that my item(s) were delivered and never received. When I open a case the mailmen tend to lie and say they have gps that they scanned at my address. If that's the case maybe they're stealing! My mailbox ain't even at my personal address. They never find my packages, they let ppl get away with federal offenses because they can't prove the address they delivered to have my contents. This place needs to be audited... I've had multiple instances of packages not being delivered and no resolution. The phone rings endlessly when you call customer service. The misinformation and lack of willingness to support residents in a timely and effective way is unacceptable. I have been trying to get access to my mailbox because the lock is jammed. I have not been able to get my mail for 2 months!!!! I went to this location and submitted a request for a lock change and was told I should be contacted within a week to pickup new keys. I never got a call. This place is a hole in the wall masquerading as a post office. Some woman at the window, who obviously doesn't like herself in or her job just talks in circles and doesn't answer the question. Worst post office ever! They were 10 minutes late opening the door. There was a line of people waiting. Someone finally opened the door with the greeting "sorry, guys, this isn't my job. She didn't show up today." He was also wearing a bachelor party t-shirt. The women who work there do not even make an attempt at eye contact. Terrible! This locations drivers are the worst. They'll skip lots of days dropping off or picking up our mail from the business strip at our office. We run a business so its important we get and ship everyday. One day delay because of no pick up can cost us a fortune. I am so upset with the person working there right now. I had a letter delivered to me and when I went to pick it up the guy had no idea where it was. I asked him to track it with my tracking number and he said the tracking number I had wasn't right. I came home because all he gave me was a number to call to see where my package was.
