Absolutely terrible customer service! If you are interested in getting your passport STAT AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! The nerve of this postal service! More like ill-service! I come in to get a new passport. Mind you I had all my materials ready to go because I'm very organized. The teller just had to check it off and process my application. The time to do so is no more than an average person mailing a package. I stood in line, waited my turn patiently, and then the woman at the front said I had to wait for the long line (behind me) to die down for her to help me. WHAT!? I already waited in line! You are rude! You have poor service! How dare you treat me like my passport was less important than any other person's letter. How. Dare. You. You were just lazy! Convenient but oh so slow. This is my local post office, but if I could, I'd bypass the post office altogether. Doesn't matter when, holiday or not, the way the postal workers at this location serve customers is slower than molasses. Unfortunately this type of crumby service has become the norm...just wish these government workers were paid based on service and performance. I suspect some would be fired in seconds. This is for the people or person who stole import goods from our flar rate box going to Indiana. Hopefully this message get to you. It is not acceptable to steal import goods from other peoples packages for sure you're a Filipino because you know you cannot get those goods here in California. What a disgrace to USPS as a whole stealing stuff from other peoples expense. We put those goods in a flat rate box for 2 day shipping thinking it is safe to do so and for my brother in law to get a taste of it but when he opened it today those goods where gone. I boxed up a package to be sent to my husband's work because I know I'm already over weight on my luggages. I used US Postal Service in Marine, Lawndale, CA thinking everything we mail through them is secured and I trusted their services that nothing will be missing. I sent a large box and only received a few items. Missing a lot from the box, they took the good stuff that you can't purchase here in the U.S. and it's only in the Philippines. I got them for my husband so he can try it but nothing was left for us but the goods that can be purchased here. I just hope that whoever got them enjoys it and karma will get u back. read more

I've gone here quite few times now to mail things when at work. Sometimes the line can be long, but the service is usually friendly and helpful so I don't mind waiting. Also the parking lot is super small/crammed so unless it's empty when you arrive it can be difficult to park there. Not to worry, just take the side street and park for free...it's a quick walk. read more

I don't see the point of making an appointment if you are not taken right away. Got in line and asked me to wait while everyone else got attended. They asked to bring all your paper work ready which I did. However it's useless since you still have to wait. Instead of being an appointment site this should be a walk in because you are not actually taken in time. I asked an employee and her response was it will take 30 min more! So expect 1 hour wait ! read more

This is my second time making a passport appointment at the same location because the first time the clerk had called out. Tried calling the office before my arrival today to try and avoid this same problem, but no answer... When checking in for my second time I find out that the clerk had called out again. This is a different day of the week that I made an appointment and came across the same problem. This is ridiculous and needs to be resolved. Start calling or emailing people when the clerk calls off rather than having people (myself) base their whole day off of this appointment. I'm extremely frustrated and displeased as passports take some time to process. read more

Came here on a Monday afternoon and there was no line! Some parking right in front and a huge parking lot in the back. Just a short walk if you park in the back so no big fuss if you can't find parking right up front. The lady at the window was very nice. I only had to buy a book of stamps so an easy transaction. I was in and out. Based on other reviews, this place can get busy. I took off a star because I've seen vending machines for stamps. So if in fact it was busy I wouldn't have to wait just for stamps. read more

My street carriers are nice, but we have different carriers delivering every few days! I have not received ANY mail on a Saturday for two years now! I think they hold all the mail until Mondays! A package was USPS tracked as delivered two weeks ago.....they can't find it! I don't mail anything financial from my home anymore as the local system has been proven untrustworthy. Made an appointment for the passport services, but didn't make a difference. It is a first come first serve bases. There were people in front of me with out an appointment which were seen before I was. My appointment was at 11 AM and I wasn't helped until almost 11:30 AM. If you have a 30 min lunch don't bother. read more

The smallest post office ever! Funny but true. The parking lost holds about eight cars and the the location itself is hiding. Since this location is on a busy street there's no street parking available and behind the post office is either tow away or taken by employees. The couple of times I've walk in there's always only two friendly people working. Try to avoid the hours of 3-5 it's crowed! read more

I don't understand all the bad reviews. I frequent this post office a lot and the staff is and has always been very curtious. They are helpful and prompt. Never use the small front parking lot. They have a larger parking lot at the read of the building that is much easier to access. read more

It is a smaller post office and it is staffed with only 3 people working the windows which is to be expected. During peak hours there are long lines because it can't handle the large volume of people who come in, which is understandable but not convenient. The facility is out dated and looks run down. The staff is friendly, I have never had an issue with them. Over all it provides the service it's suppose too. That's why I give it 4 stars. read more

This place is unreasonable. I took a package I prepaid and weighed at home 5lb 4oz..when I got their she weight it 5lb 11oz..she said she couldn't take the package unless I buy a new packing slip. I told her the difference is automatically billed to my account which it is when package weight doesn't match. Needless to say I told her to return the package so I can take it to Hawthorne where they don't play these games and take the package and bill me for the difference. What a waste of time. read more

Yes I live in a 36 unit condo. UPS, FedEx, Amazon and all other package delivery companies will delivery all packages to my front door. But our mail carrier will only put packages at the mail boxes, on top or on the ground. I wrote to the Post Master 3 time. Each time I get a call back and the mail carrier will bring me packages to my door, but only for about a week then back to leaving the packages at the mail box. I have even gone to the Lawndale Post Office. When I tell them my address (14807 Condon) they know who I'm talking about. The same thing happens... At the Lawndale Post Office I've mailed hundreds of items over the last 20 years and never had any issues. There is additional parking in the back and mail boxes along the side driveway. Outer lobby has mail slots and PO Boxes. Home delivery has always been good too. Our home delivery guy always picks up outgoing mail. Now they have him delivering more heavy packages too. They close on time. I would too if I had to deal with unpleasant complainers all day. Yes, the manager should answer the phone so I'm deducting one star. read more

The past two weeks USPS is delivering my package to 4727 W. 147th Street Lawndale, Ca but they are leaving my packages outside and for the fourth time my items are stolen. Thursday 4/19/18 Amazon, Macys, Walmart and two weeks ago Macys. I have a unit number so why are you leaving my packages in the open and not at my unit? A package of mine was not able to be delivered due to incomplete address. Thankfully, my package had a tracking number. I called the usps location and was able to get a hold of someone right away. Very impressed! Thought I'd have to get passed on to one person to another. I was told I'll get a call back once the mailman gets back to the office: Within an hour, I got a call back and was able to collect my package! Wohoooo! read more

This is one of the worst post offices around. I have lived in Lawndale for 4 years and have had mail stolen, envelopes opened with money and gifts taken out. I get home today and a eBay dvd order was thrown in the driveway instead of put in the box. Yes , it got ran over a few times by the back house not seeing it. When you go to drop off mail at the facility, the blue box has a disclaimer that says beware of theft and to drop mail at our own risk. Ask a neighborhood mailman and he always says, "there's nothing I can do". I hate giving them even one star!! read more

This post office has no mailbox or slot where you can drop off mail when the post office is closed. Considering they are only open 8:30-5pm mon-Friday this makes it hard for those who work. I live nearby and had a package sent to my house via certified mail. When I wasn't there to sign for it on a Thursday afternoon it they immediately returned it to the sender! read more

I always get frustrated after leaving this post office. There's never that many people when I'm there and yet it always feels like it takes FOREVER to get through the line. I now drive to a farther location just to avoid the hassle of extremely slow service and workers who are obviously very miserable working there. read more
