This location's parking lot is very small, but there is so much street parking close by it's not a problem. They have two windows to help you with your packages and purchases. Plus two large wooden tables on each side of the doors to finish your addressing of letters of addition of stamps. The service is helpful, but doesn't always feel super speedy. But who cares! Look around this beautiful little building! It looks and feels like a museum. It seems to have frozen time from when it was built, which was on the eve of WWII. The Minnetonka Avenue office was built in 1941 under the Works Progress Administration during the Great Depression. Its antique features -- dark mahogany millwork, a green- and rose-colored tile floor, and Mankato marble paneling -- are a striking snapshot of the era. The bas relief eagle greets you above the outside doors to remind you of this awesome government gem of a building and it's ability to capture a specific feeling of a time in the distant past when milk was delivered to your door and Wayzata was turning into a town and not just a turn off the century vacation spot.

WORST customer service I've experienced at a post office. I was trying to mail a package before…read morethey closed. I got there at about 4:20pm, and had to fill my form out. It was 4:25 when Nick stated that they close in two minutes (hours state 4:30). I went to pay for shipping, and Nick said it wouldn't ship today unless it was prepaid. I tried to pay for it at 4:27 and Nick refused because he said they closed in 30 seconds (according to HIS clock he said). I asked for his name and his managers name. He told me his name was Nick and his managers name was Mary who "chewed him out for not leaving on time" which is why he couldn't help me. RIDICULOUS. Terrible customer service.
