I visit this post office frequently, it's in my area. For some reason, I had been forgetting about this one and visiting ones not in my area. It's clean, has easy access parking. The staff are pleasant and 2 of them I see every time i visit and look forward to seeing them. Everyone seems knowledgeable about the job, like they've been employed with the post office for some time and know the drill. I feel like they've been exposed to it all and nothing can shake them up. LOL The line moves fast and it appears to be an all hands on deck location. No complaints! read more

Lost some items in a package that was sent to me, I do have to say the customer service is pretty good , David is very professional , he was able to find one of my item and hold it for me till the next day . It was busy when we show up the next day , but he was there and took care of us right away. If only the carrier was as good (we do get a great carrier here and there ) he's able to drop off our nails before 9am , but there are some that takes the whole day , or longer like the next day some time , which is a waste of my whole day waiting for them. read more

Convenient location and appears recently renovated. The staff here are friendly, knowledgable, and extremely helpful. I witnessed them going above and beyond to help myself & others. Inside appears recently renovated. USPS is also the cheapest option for letters and small packages by a factor of about 10 for letters and about 2 for small packages. If you havin' package receivin' problems, I got news for you son, I got 99 problems, and USPS is one. ***** Not to sound pretentious, but I try to avoid USPS when possible. But recently I ordered an iPad Mini 2 off of Ebay for my girlfriend's Christmas present and USPS failed to deliver it. (And I was home!) They left a slip telling me to drop by this specific location, or it'll be shipped back. Playa, please... The building resides on a one way, so consider coming from the south-side on North 11th Street (also a one-way), so you can easily take a left into their huge and free parking lot. Like any other USPS, the inside is 1980s-wood-paneling-errwhere bleak, and visitors, like me, don't know how much time they'll spend there. I've usually experienced agonizingly long lines (20 minutes), but on my most recent trip, it only took ten minutes. I picked up my package, and dropped about $13 bucks for ten stamps. (My landlord also hasn't stepped into the new decade, hence the stamps. Online, man!) It's not the greatest place to send a package, and I totally recommend other services to do so. I always think the downtown location should open more hours than most post offices. It's not. They do have free parking which is nice for downtown and the post office feels like...exactly what you would expect from the downtown post office. Its very gray. This is one of my favorite post offices. The postal women that work here are the best. I see reviews about the ladies being mean and snappy. Those reviews are most likely written by the people that go to the post office with their stuff to be shipped not in a box and expect someone the pack it for them. It's one thing to ask for help but another to not ask and expect someone to want to help you do it for you. If you don't know anything about packing and shipping do some online research. Yeah with the phone you are yelling into while standing in line. (Sorry I see too much of this) I ship a lot of packages for my online store. Posted a message on the front door asking for the post office to LEAVE PACKAGE WITHOUT SIGNATURE in the apartment mailroom, but instead they never re-delivered the package. When I call USPS to ask for RE-DELIVERY, their automatic robot lady on the phone goes through the longest list on earth of options. OF COURSE they have EVERY option on earth except for an option to speak to a customer service agent. After about 15 minutes of f*ing around trying to get through all their ridiculous list of options, I was finally redirected to a customer service agent only because the dumb-ass robot lady couldn't interpret the tracking number I gave her(repeated it three times in fact). Even at that point, I was quoted a 30 minute wait time. I wait on hold for 30 minutes, and at the end of that 30 minutes, finally a USPS agent gets to me. She says some thing to me and before I can even speak up, the next thing I know, she hangs up on me!! WTF?! At this point I'm FURIOUS. Wasted my ENTIRE morning trying to reach someone. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE WORLD. NO WONDER YOU'RE GOING BANKRUPT, TERRIBLE OPERATIONS. read more

I called to get information about change my address and talk to a supervisor who was so professional knowledgeable and super friendly.Give me instructions about how to change my address and how to avoid scammers who would try to charge me for services that the post office does for free. I'm a fool for coming back here. I had to come here for a passport application. I called in advance and the manager told me to come between 1 and 3 because that is the only time the passport person is there. I showed up at 1:30 and was told that the guy was at lunch. When I asked to talk with the manager to get an explanation why he had just told me 45 minutes earlier to come down, he ended up yelling at me and slamming the door to his office behind me. I ended up coming back here recently and the woman behind the counter mailed my package to me instead of the recipient. The label was pre-printed, very clearly said FROM and TO. I think it may have been deliberate because she was kind of short with me from the start, but then suddenly became very happy at the end for no apparent reason. I have only been to this location once and will avoid it in the future. When I entered the post office there were only two people in front of me. It took over 30 minutes for me to mail my little package. Unacceptable. There was only one cashier at a prime late afternoon time and she was rude and slow. She was clearly flustered about something but honestly that is no excuse to treat customers poorly. With all of the various US Post Office locations downtown you can easily skip this poorly run one and find another! read more

Avoid this location at all costs. Is it a passport processing center or postal office? I waited in line for 15 minutes while two employees processed passports. When I finally stepped up to get a roll of stamps & a postmark verification, I was told to step aside to fill out the postmark form (which took me 15 seconds). As I did so, the clerk accepted the next person in line, who was there to renew a passport. She promptly started on that passport and told me I had to wait - that now that she started that application she had to finish it. I had to wait until the other clerk became available. She could have waited 15 seconds for me to fill out the form and had me out of there in a minute. She should be fired. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

Granted, my primary post office used to be in NYC Times Square, which is basically the seventh circle of hell, but I have to say I was very impressed. On 12/26/17 We got a notification to pick up our package from loring station. When I got there I was told by the employee Christopher that I need to come back thenext day on 12/27 cause the package hadnt arrived the station. So far so good, my bad. I came back the next day. Waited for 15 min and right before it was my turn to speak to Christopher he just decided to pick another customer from the end of the line and serve this one first. When it was finally my turn, he told me again the Package is about to be attempted to be delivered again at our house even though the notification clearly stated that we have to pick it up from Loring station! I told him that they cant be serious that I have to come back a third time to pick the package up at the station as I am clearly not home right now to receive the package. He left into the back office and had me wait for 15 more minutes and never came back. Instead a very rude employee, Kenya, came out of their back office and yelled at me in front of everyone that this is all my fault because my husband supposebly approved online on 12/23 that we would want them to re-deliver the package. I knew it wasnt true cause my husband wouldve told me. She was super loud and rude. I told her I dont believe her story. Under yelling she took off back to the back office. Everyone could hear her yelling and cussing. This is a governmental employee! Am I missing something? After another 10 minutes she came back and - o wonder, she brought our package with her. It looked damaged.... she said it was a confusion.... i asked for the Manager, Jennifer who didnt have time to speak to me. Its a shame that those people are allowed to serve customers. I have been to this post office numerous times, and I have no idea what the other reviewers are talking about. I have never seen anyone cut in line, or "thug trash". This is NOT the main Post Office in downtown, which is open til 8pm. This is a smaller Post Office that can be very busy, but is almost always well staffed. They have always helped me when I needed help, and very easy to use with plenty of stamp machines also. read more

This Post Office is open until 8pm, MUCH later than any other. I have no idea what the previous person was talking about. It's beautiful, and the wait is almost less than 5 minutes. They have an entire stamp shop that is awesome and even do passports. They also have every type of stamp you can imagine and free parking. Great place. read more
