This USPS location is my favorite in the area for a few reasons and I'll tell you the main factor is parking. It is so hard to find a Post Office with proper parking. All the KTown spots are a clusterF but here in Pico-Robertson, I can always get a spot. Plus, it's not a usual parking lot but just the diagonal style parking so just keeps things more organized and less stressful. The LA Parking struggle is real and this USPS makes it so much more chill. I have never had to wait in the line inside, but I do see it gets very long. I def think they prob need some more staff because the line waiters always seem exacerbated. They have an automatic self-service post machine which isn't ever busy, a drop box that isn't ever full, post boxes. It fulfills all my needs perfectly. USPS in Pico-Robertson off La Cienega = my go to drop off spot for packages! read more

I would give this a negative 1000. Employees are so rude and have the worst attitude. I got a text saying a package I ordered online is ready for pickup at this location. I erroneously put an old company's address on the package. The person just berated me saying that I should've changed the address & I should've told her the company name. But I explained I tried to change the address but couldn't and the package didn't have the company name on it. I said I had no idea and she straight up said "Yes you did." NO I FUCKING DIDNT. I said I didn't realize it would cause this confusion & apologized, and she just glared at me. Like bitch, so it took u a little longer to figure it out but the store wasn't even busy. read more

What kind of post office doesn't have tape?? Wasted 45 minutes of my life in line for them to tell me I can't ship my package because I didn't have tape for it AND it was priority mail. Usually with priority packages they have specific tape they tape it themselves with. Smh I effing hate the post office people. read more

I was sent here from my regular post office for a package that supposedly had an 'Insufficient Address.' This happened to be my workplace, which as much as sometimes I wish it was insufficient, it is not. I guess depending on who you ask, could be but not today due to the fact that the status of my package was being sent back to the sender which was the last thing I needed. This wasn't too far from my regular office, so I went over where I got lucky with two people pulling out of the parking lot at the same time. Inside, I encountered a line which is nothing new, and for a while, there were maybe 4 windows operating out of 7. Then it dwindled to 2 windows being the only ones opened so things generally took longer. I ended up at the 2nd window from the right and I had all of the information that I thought I needed. The employee did notice that it was strange how the package was accepted, then 'returned'. She said she was going to go back to see if she could find it and things became a little awkward as the line grew and I creeped to the side since you know everyone was side-eyeing me as I took up quite a bit of time. About five minutes later, she comes back with the package! It was smaller so it was probably harder to search for, but I was so happy she found it. She had long braids with some pink color mixed in, and she was super friendly. I know people tend to hate the post office, but if you're polite and prepared, things hopefully will work out for you. They do have to put up with us after all, so might as well make it as pleasant as possible. read more

My husband and I stopped by to apply for our toddlers passport. We walked in without an appointment and received same day service. Treneice and the other ladies were very pleasant to work with. Treneice had a great attitude and was very helpful and professional. It was a great customer experience. This was the best experience I had at any post office by far! Highly recommended. read more

Wanda was so super sweet for letting me in right at the time they were closing! My schedule is extremely busy and this was the only time I had to get holiday stamps to mail out our family Christmas Cards. The windows were out of Holiday Stamps but Wanda knew the Kiosk had them! When the kiosk didn't show the options for holiday stamps, she went above & beyond to unlock the kiosk and feed the reindeer & Santa stamps through. What a lovely woman!!! I hate having to deal with USPS employees and this courier service in general bc there is never anything good to say and it's always guaranteed that they will be rude and dismissive!! As expected, at the USPS located at: 1270 S Alfred St, Los Angeles, CA 90035 the staff members were extremely rude and unwilling to help at all. I was trying to use their self service machine but ran into an issue (as expected). When I asked for assistance, the lady said she can't help me bc they closed and that I would have to stand in line if I needed help. Worst attitude at the his location. No customer service just attitude. Simple question you get attitude.

1. For those of you who are unaware as to why the mailbox outside is locked after hours, it is due to people were stealing the mail so they had to lock it for our safety. 2. Do not ever use the blue recycle bin if you do not want your personal information exposed. The blue bin is supposed to be a locked key cover and then you drop it in there and it gets shredded. NOT!!! I have complained about this several times for several years, however they do not care. To this date nothing has been done about it! I started putting the lid behind the bucket so people will see it is not secure! You locked the mailbox on the outside but you don't lock the recycle bin in the inside what sense does that make! 3. The kiosk is constantly unavailable for use. 4. The clock on the wall has not been changed with time for years. i.e. It is 3:00pm everyday, all day! 5. If you try to call you do not get anyone on the phone. They do not answer. 6. There is not enough staff working the windows. I guess that's why they are severely hiring. But, it was like that before they started accepting applications. 7. The supervisor Faith needs to come back! The new supervisor is Mr. Harris for those that do not know. He seems like he would not want to be bothered. I could be wrong but when I first met him that's the impression I perceived. 8. Remember, they close the post office on Pico and Beverly Glen this is why Alfred is very crowded. God forbid if they close the Alfred Post Office then we will really have to travel. I know I like convenience! 9. Other locations: Beverly Hills, Culver City, Washington and La Brea, The Grove, Beverly Blvd. (East of Fairfax) and Century City Mall. Thank goodness for Mary at the USPS location! I accidentally put an old address on a purchase and the USPS main line was unable to assist. The seller was also unable to change the address on their end. I tracked the package to the local USPS store location and I called them. Mary was able to help me over the phone by taking down the information, contacting the carrier to retrieve the package, and printing out the revised address! Thank you so much! read more

One of the better USPS offices in the area. There's generally a worker in the lobby who will either take your package or let you know if you need to stand in line. Parking is usually good but you have to go back to Pico to leave the area. read more

Once ready I was told to write my return address so they made me get out of line for that! Waited in line again...then was told I had to write out my own shipping labels. We booked a passport appointment about a month ago. We even got a confirmation email 2 days before. Today was my first visit to the US Post Office and I was oimpressed of how quickly the service was. There was a line of 3 people in front of me and it took me less than 2 min to wait. You could see people gong in and out fast. Wanda at the drop off desk gave me an amazingly friendly service and also an explanation of how the system works so I could pick up the box I need. There is also an automated machine ( if you plan on paying with a credit card ) that generates the labels for your shipping so you won't need to do the lines. I came in here at 12:45 pm to get a copy of my receipt because I lost the tracking number and right away her tone, manner, everything was treating me like I was stupid. We made our passport appointment within 3 weeks in advance; when we get to the window the lady told us that the person I charge left and we need to go to the airport to have the passport. We spoke with the manager and she gave us 3 different stories with no solution. Just avoid coming in here for your passport, they don't care if you have an appointment. read more

WATCH OUT pulling into this lot (heading north from Pico). The curb is improperly marked and hitting it will blow-out your front right tire! It is flat tire city! The curb gets driven over so often it is actually grey from people's tires hitting it! It happened to me - while I was waiting for AAA to come and change my tire, two other customers approached me and said it had happened to them before too. The AAA guy told me it is a constant issue - they are continually called to this lot to replace blown-out front right tires from the curb. I reported it to the manager (the curb needed to be repainted so people wouldn't hit it), he said I shouldn't drive over curbs. Jerk. I have seen at least a half dozen blown out tires here and I don't even stop here regularly. ALSO when leaving - DON'T TURN RIGHT into the residential neighborhood - you will get a TICKET. LAPD motorcycle cops make it a regular stake out (sitting about a block north of the post office) just waiting to write tickets if you missed the previously not-so-obvious "no right turn sign" (although they have recently added a larger sign directly across from the driveway's exit). There is a very rude, older lady who works there that seems to be offended that she actually has to do her job. She YELLED at me because I came to the mail pick-up door (as I have a PO Box) which is different than the regular service windows. She also screamed and cursed for NO reason. I have NO idea why she feels that it is ok to behave that way in her place of work but clearly there is no oversight or management that cares because EVERYONE saw and heard the exchange and NO ONE came to rectify the situation. I mailed a package on Saturday from a Los Angeles post office, addressed to a relative in New Jersey. I was told it would arrive yesterday (Monday). It's not there and, according to the tracking number, it's now in Honolulu. Sadly, this is not surprising. This is why people don't like to use USPS. It's broken. I paid for priority mail, not a trip to Hawaii and no idea when or if it would reach the correct destination. I want my money back so I can invest it in UPS. read more

I've ordered pickups and boxes have disappeared, they just deliver to any apartment on my street. They don't even look at the addresses anymore. As the neighborhood post office, this location is very convenient for me. The pros: -free and easy parking (except right before closing, parking lot gets full) -nice and friendly staff that's very helpful -opened until 5. The cons: -they're super understaffed, so there is always a wait -they're having lots of maintenance done, so they're closed for unexpected amount of times. -in terms of passport, they only process from 11-2, so make sure you get there on time. Also, most likely they wont have passport service on thursdays since they're usually understaffed that day. read more

The women that work here are so rude. It's absolutely ridiculous how cranky these women are ALL THE TIME. Especially one of the clerks by the name of ALEXIS. My god every time I've gone into that place, she is always in a bad mood. Like, why?! If you don't like your job, get a new one. This post office is extremely slow, and there is usually some line. The markers in line are nowhere near 6 feet apart, and I've informed them they should keep them 6 feet apart, as they advertise on the tv screen, but they haven't changed anything. I don't blame them for being ornery at work, as the post office isn't an ideal job currently, but they could be nicer! read more
