Just moved to this area and the mail service has been horrendous. Recently had ordered an item. PO says they delivered it, but I don't have it. Now, I've another item I ordered from Amazon which was tendered to the PO for delivery. The PO indicated they delivered it; I don't have it! Lines can be long depending on time of day but staff works fast. Limited people can be in line with virus going around and everyone is spaced apart. Self-service machines are available and drop-off bins built into the wall. Greeting cards and package supplies inside. Seems shipping cost is higher for packages going by plane. Makes sense but my goodness what a difference. read more

It's a post office, so not much to report. Clerks and post office boxes. I just needed to drop off some stuff, so I didn't spend any time inside. There are drive up mailboxes around to the side, but then you're exiting out onto Charles Street in the back. On the plus side, there is an automated postal machine so that you can weigh your stuff and purchase postage with a credit/debit card. No cash though. read more

I've been using this specific post office for years and have yet to have an issue. My experience this time was so good I had to leave a review. Anne helped me ship my package , efficiently and quickly. Anne answered every question I had, and gave me advice for the next time I come in. She was seriously awesome. The line was long, but there were a total of four people working! They tried their absolute best to get everybody in and out as quick as possible, as the post office should be. With it being located in Matthews I expect some wait time, but the staff remained polite and helpful. Overall, my experience with Anne and this post office in general was great and I will not hesitate to come back here when I need mail services. read more

Hands down the worst ran post office I have ever seen. The below tracking is normal. Most of the time you track the package and it goes out for delivery and then it goes back to a "locker" or back to the office. I have not received mail for 4 days now. The Matthews post office is a really really busy place. Luckily there is one of the automated postal tellers located in the lobby so it makes it convenient and I try to avoid the long lines. The mail men/women are pretty friendly, but with the long hours and irate customers waiting in the long line... doesn't make many post office visits very fun. read more

Sucks. The package depository is always jammed or full and I am handicapped and can't wait in their long line.

All of the postal workers i have encountered here are friendly and willing to answer questions. The line (if long) moves quickly and workers often come from the back to help when a long line forms. read more

Please please please with a cherry on top- please deliver the right mail to the right place... I really appreciate all the hard work that goes into delivering the mail, but my Matthews home and business (different locations) totally get the wrong mail for other ppl EVERYDAY!!! There is a problem understanding "Hold mail" . The on-line requests while acknowledged by email are not carried out in reality. We are very disappointed. We asked for mail to be held at post office on a previous hold only to get home and it was delivered the previous day and left in the rain. Mail placed on hold this time frame was delivered daily....thankfully we have a neighbor who pays attention and retrieved our mail. Very poor service. read more

Did not receive an expected package from Amazon Prime. When tracking # was entered, it said the pkg. had been delivered 2 days ago. Trying to contact anyone at the Post Office is a nightmare. When I call, they answer the phone! They actually have stamps! They are always courteous to me. I have been in different locations where I have heard the phone ringing off the hook and no one answered. I have called 2 locations and had to drive to those locations because no one answered. Had a package 2 day priority. It said that it would arrive On website it was to arrive 12/19 and then change to Dec 20 and now dec 21 no box. I went to post office on December 20,and they said it was with carrier on route. Now carrier came by. no box and he said he doesn't have it. Great way to not guarantee your delivery. I paid $29.98 for priority delivery in 2 days. And now kid gift not going to here when we needed it. They told me to call if not here by Monday dec 21. And now on 25 minutes waiting for them to come back on the phone. Bad customer service. read more

I've been here 3-4 times in the past week and not once have I had an issue. The employees have been friendly and helpful each time and I never had to wait in line more than 5 minutes. The automated machine is actually really neat - they need more of those! Went after hours tonight to send out a small package and used the machine and it worked like a charm. read more

It's a post office! I only come here after hours, so I can report on the friendliness or helpfulness of the employees. I either drop off mail/packages or use the self-service machine. I never have a problem with either process. At some USPS locations, the postage machines fail to print postage, or the postage gets stuck in the machine. This one works just fine. read more

Mailed a Christmas package to relatives in California. They never received it. Just recently I was expecting a package to be delivered but never got it. I was tracking it on the usps website and it was supposedly on the truck out for delivery but the tracker never updated saying that the package had actually been delivered anywhere. When I went to the post office to see what had happened someone went to look for my package but couldn't find it. I was told that someone would call me but they never did. I just gave up. I work 2 jobs and don't have time to stand in line again. I've lost all faith in this post office and I'm very hesitate to order anything on line now unless it's coming FedEx or UPS. read more

I just got to work this morning and discovered we had NO MAIL SERVICE YESTERDAY! The mail I put out yesterday to be picked up was still there this morning. I had to leave a little early yesterday and figured the mail was just running late due to the Martin Luther King holiday on Monday. But they NEVER showed. I left over $40,000 in checks in the mail box overnight!! So I thought I'll call to find out what happened and as usual, the only telephone number listed is constantly busy. And so is the fax number. So no help there. I just don't understand how you just don't show up to pick up or deliver the mail?? Unfortunately this has happened before. Complaints just fall on deaf ears and you get major attitude if you complain. I just wish people would do their jobs. I'm expected to do mine. read more
