I had a terrible experience with this elderly racist white woman. There was a white old man in front of me who she helped with no problem. Even though it took her long to help him she was patient. Me a Hispanic women, she was so rude and nasty and even got into an argument with another Hispanic women there for defending me. But yet she helped another white person with no problem. I went in there to return a package but needed tape to seal it so I grab the tape that cost $1.79. I inserted my car to pay and she canceled the transaction on purpose and then she told me to watch the screen which I did watch the screen. The total was coming out to $3 and some change. She kept ringing up the transaction and canceling and telling me to watch the screen which I was but nothing was popping up so I asked her why is it coming up three dollars and something cents and then she gets an attitude with me and I told her I'm just asking a question because you're telling me to watch the screen and nothing is coming up and when it does come up it's the wrong price so she goes and tells me not to ask her any questions and another customer who was there which is Hispanic, told the employee she was being rude, and the employee did not like that, so she got into an argument with the other customer as well. She told us that she can do what ever she wants and told the other Hispanic customer to mind her business. The employee treated the white woman and white man with respect but she goes and treats the Hispanic customers like we peasants. This lady was so nasty. read more

One of the worst places I have ever been. The women in the picture is clueless and when I went to try to pick up my package she said she couldn't find it. I was told the dy before that it was there and being held for me to pick up when instead they sent it back to sender when it was an international package. I literally lost 1000$ package because of their incompetence. read more

I was here to drop off a prepaid Poshmark package and requested the box or bag to self tape my package and was rudely informed by the worker behind the counter that I had to purchase my own bag. I tried to explain to her that it was already prepaid and I just need an appropriate size bag or box to put it in and she replied "No!" I also mentioned to her that I've been coming here for years and never had to pay for a container that was already paid for by Poshmark. The most important thing to know about this post office is that they don't offer an APC (automated postal center). What this means is that you'll have to visit here during normal retail hours in order to handle all of your postal needs. The advantage of the APC is that it's automated and it can perform most retail functions. Because Maywood isn't necessarily a bustling area for logistics, an APC may never make its way to this branch. However, if you're passing through and need to send a package, you'll have to search for a UPS or Fedex after 5pm. And there aren't many of those in this area either... read more

Dropped my package off one week ago and still has not been "received" or shown any progress on the tracking information. Seriously? Super unorganized. I don't understand how my package was lost or not put into transit when I handed it directly to the woman working. If you don't want your package to get lost, go elsewhere. Now I have to deal with the hassle of claims, investigation, and potentially separating from the value of my items. read more

Rudest staff ever! The lady with purple hair is the worst of them. She speaks to people as if they were bad children and is very condescending. Today, as always the line is pretty much to the front door. There is only but ONE employee at the front and never any priority boxes out (as they should be); but rather they are behind the counter. Today I was in search of a small priority box. I walk in ans of course there aren't ever any priority boxes out by the rest of the "paid" boxes. So, I wait by the side of the counter until someone is available to ask them if they have any available behind the counter. The lady with the people hair rudely tells me that i need to wait in line. Wait in line? I replied by saying "i don't want to wait on the long line just to find out they are out of priority boxes." She mumbles something under her breath and gives me a the SPB. She than says to me that next time she won't help me. I replied by saying "you should have these boxes out for customers to use. Waiting on line to pick up a priority box, to than package my item and wait on line again to ship it isn't convenient." She did not reply to me in stead yelled "next!" I would advise to stay away from this Post Office and go some where else. This place should take a lesson from River Edge post office. They are courtesy and the lines are short. I'm a regular. I sell on eBay and this post office is close to my job. Most of the people there know me by name and we joke and make small talk. They're always helpful when you have a shipping question. Sometimes there are lines, but what do you expect? They're a post office! They're bound to have lines sometimes. To avoid line, try going before 12:00 or after 2:00. Lunch time is usually more hectic. read more

Rude people. Went in today to send a small package. Although I took great care in packing, addressing, securing the label completely with tape and closing the small package securely with tape, the CUSTOMER SERVICE lady said my package wasn't securely closed and she has the RIGHT to reject my package due to my method of closing it. She said the only way she would send it would be if I paid for 1st class or priority and she used their tape. This was COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY. After I just waited behind a dozen people to get to the counter, I decided to bite the bullet and pay extra. Ridiculous. I called the post master. He preferred to act as referee instead of providing adequate customer service. read more

This post office has no supervisor on location so prepare yourselves. Most of the clerks are professional in their task, but there is always the exception to the rule. Her name is neisha or nieci, hard to see since her badge was not displayed properly. After complaining to the post master general in regards to the rudeness and unprofessionalism of this person, the fact is she has several complaints against her. Why does she still have a job working with customers, the jury is still out on that matter. So beware of this rude little women, who looks like Kermit the frog with constipation.
