In my opinion, the folks working there deserve alot more than 7 reviews! So here's mine. I've lived in Arnold almost 4 years now with my son. I'm female, 73, disabled and am a short Hispanic (can I add pretty, widowed, soon not to be disabled) woman. I just wanted y'all to know that from the beginning- the employees of the post office were friendly towards an outsider. Additionally, they are always very helpful, efficient, thorough and a total asset to the community. At times I felt embarrassed when I had to speak up and ask them a question... but they always put me at ease and never made me feel unequal. They frequently asked if I needed help with carrying out packages. So, yeah... how about some more reviews for these folks that work hard for us everyday!

I, being the good daughter that I am, drove down there to pick up the mystery delivery. When I arrived, the postal worker asked if he could be of assistance. I dutifully handed him the yellow slip and gave him the address. He went in the back to check. When he returned, alas no package. He was extremely apologetic and explained that sometimes substitute mail carriers leave a note in a mailbox to mark the beginning of their delivery route. They are supposed to pick them up but this person apparently forgot. He couldn't apologize enough for my making a special trip down to the post office. It really wasn't that big of a deal to me, but I appreciated his sincerity. Hopefully next time there really will be a package...maybe even a gift for me! ;)

There's a blonde girl that works there (I wish I knew her name) that's an absolute sweetheart and says hi every time I go in to drop off my packages! Extremely frustrated with this post office. Multiple times I've received notices claiming my…read moremailbox was "too full" for package delivery when that simply was not true. My mailbox is on my property, accessible, and had plenty of room. Instead of delivering packages, they leave slips saying delivery was attempted and force me to drive out of my way to pick them up myself. It feels dishonest and incredibly inconvenient, especially when you're paying for a delivery service that isn't actually being completed. Customer service is nearly impossible to reach by phone, and there seems to be no accountability. This has happened more than once and has become a pattern. USPS seriously needs to address the reliability and service issues at the Sonora location.

He was the only one working for a little while and was able to multitask with ease with us having to take new pictures and help with the paperwork and helping a few customers along the way. I highly recommend this post office for all your needs. It's definitely worth it even if you have to go out of your way to get there depending where you are in Tuolumne County.

Other post offices have much better selections. Even small ones like Burson or Wallace and service is much better.
