I have lived in Miami Beach for 35 years. This Community Post Office has served me very well over the years. It's within walking distance and has handled my postal needs every time. If these tourists don't like this post office they can go to the main one on Washington Ave & 13th St. As one reviewer pointed out there can be a line. But it does move fairly quickly. They have PO BOXES too if you want one. read more

This is an horrible place. Im from Canada and was told by my hotel I could have package delivered to this USPS store. Apparently this specific store can't receive package without a PO box. My first package I was able to get it. The next day, the 2 ladies that were there were horrible. They said they return my package to sender because they don't hold Package. I then called USPS customer service and the lady that was super helpful said they were lying to me and were just lazy. I went inside with my phone as she asked me to talk to the girl... and she was like no im not talking to her. So I put the lady on speaker phone and she told her to do her job and she still didn't want to. After I left the lady on the phone was like it's horrible. One of the worst post offices is prone to problems. I went to mail an envelope today at 5:20, but for some reason it was closed. Does it close at 5:30 or 5:20 p.m. if the hours are until 5:30 p.m.? This is really unprofessional of them to give inaccurate hours. Also its very inconvenient for people when they have a set plan. read more

Not really sure how this postal service office is still open. I came during the holidays twice and the system was down. The office is dirty. The only plus is that a parking lot is adjacent to the premises. Other than that, it's terrible. read more

This place is small but the problem is rudeness!! There is this lady that is photographed that claims her name is Angie but who knows since she is the only one with no name tag!! She was extremely rude to EVERYONE!! Some guy that was in front of me was even trying to tell her in a nice way to be nice, but she was very unprofessional and rude. I came here like I do it every week to mail my office's letters out. A woman called "Tisha", very rude, got mad cuz I asked her for guidance on how to send a book. She walked away saying she doesnt have time for it shaking her head with a very bad attitude. People like her should never be in contact with customers. read more

Seriously understaffed. Slow and inconvenient. Only one woman was working at around 10 AM and I to wait behind about 8 other people in line just to buy stamps. Even the post offices back home in rural South Carolina have machines for that. This is why I usually end up walking the extra blocks to FedEx or UPS instead. read more

Louis is one of the rudest laziest human beings I've encountered. I was standing in line and was completely ignored. I was the only person there just standing, until I finally realized when 3 others were helped ahead of me that I wasn't in the lane closest to Him so He just ignored me, even though when I came in I was the only person in the store. My turn finally comes and He says I have to leave to fill out a different label. I have a label ready I just need it taped and he rips the tape holder out of my hand and tell Me I need a whole new label, I ask if I can redo it up front since I've already been waiting so long but He says He can't that there's someone behind Me ( now He's worried about customer service) I ask the guy waiting if He minds if I fill out the address real quick and He says no problem, but Louis refuses to help Me. So I fill out the second label while He's taking and calling Me names like asshole, rude, etc. I tell Him He's an asshole also and I wasn't aware A government office would allow such terrible treatment of customers. It's hard to rate it as "I've experienced better" when most offices are kinda sucky. Carl Fisher Post Office is a small location on alton. There will be a line. It doesnt take long - give it 10 minutes and play a game on your phone. it goes by quick. There will probably be only 1 person working in front. There is no automated machine to buy stamps or any postage, so you will wait in line for one 44 cent stamp. So basically, it's like most USPS locations. But it's cheaper than UPS. read more

Doesn't even deserve one star. Absolutely the most rude and unhelpful employees. The lady SUPPOSED to be helping us was named Angie. Refused to acknowledge the customers in front of them because they were too busy carrying on their own conversations disregarding the long line of people in front of them. Made us tape our own packages with little to no instructions on what we need to do. And then said we did it wrong. Angie was rude to me and the two people in front of me. Never in my life have I received such poor customer service. I recommend UPS if you're in Miami. They need to not work with customers. Throw them in the back where nobody has to see them. Yes. I came into the Post Office today at 4PM. I came to get assistance on a package I sent Priority. Unlike my usual experience when I go to the Miami Beach Post Office on Washington Street I enter the location at 1661 West Avenue. And I was met with one of the most disgusting attitudes I have experienced by a woman named Angie. She is about 5'10 and weigh about 210 lbs. Needless to say when I inquired about my package she started to raise her voice and she told me very aggressively and ethnic it is not her job to make sure I get my package. I asked her did she have a problem and she stated I was the problem. It was so unwarranted the customer behind tapped me after she was done with her transaction and she she understood my plight and good luck with dealing with that woman because she is always like that. Can someone please address this employee name Angie? No one should have to deal with that horrible attitude at the United States Post Office. I put 2 stars only because the only one lady who've been working there for a long time. She is the only one nice and reasonable person. Others is another story.... It is the closest postal office to my home so it is obvious that i go there if i need something to be shipped but honestly i started thinking about switching to more expensive ups because the service is awful! And i have several stories to tell... Once my husband sent a fragile package. He mentioned several times that it was very fragile. Nobody paid attention to him it was our first time se ding something fragile so we didn't know about insurance... The item came all broken. They didn't even port a fragile sticker on the box. Another time i needed to send something perishable so I went to next day delivery. It cost me a fortune! They were supposed to deliver next morning at the office. The person waited at the office till 2pm and the item didn't arrive. They delivered it at 6pm. And if you didnt know they offer a money back warranty if your item was not delivered on time. My item wasn't but when i came to claim my money (because the item was a food and it was already going bad at the time of the delivery) well i was told that it is not their problem the item was delivered and if i want my money back i have to contact the receipt location and claim money there.... Are you serious??? Across the country??? And the guy was so rude... He almost made me feel that all this was my fault! Several month later again sending a small box... Well it was too small but they will offer you to buy a bigger box ($5) for the item that will ship for $3 and they when i changed the box apparently i used wrong tape to close it. The whole time (4visits) the lady was extra rude. When the box was small she almost trow my package back to me. During my last visit i went to the nice lady but there were french guy truing to send some documents. She told him: go get the correct packaging. He asked for help. He took a express ship folder and asked her if this was ok and she just told him: well if you want to ship it this way... And then she billed him $20 so good he refused to send it this way... They are not welcoming at all. Sometimes it is better to drive a little and get to another brunch or just go to ups and pay more but get a nicer service. I really miss those times when usps was a very respectful institution. They say that business is going bad well it is not the internet to blame... Is a service! read more

Arrogant, rude, disdainful. I was one of six people who walked out this morning at 9:30 as the line grew longer, attended by only a single clerk, while the manager filed her nails and watched us. This is a sad example of why Americans have such contempt for their government. These people should be fired and have to look for a real job. read more

This is my neighborhood post office, I'm here about once a week. The only positive thing I have to say about it is there is one delightful woman who works there, usually by herself. Sadly I do not remember her name or I would include it in this review. There are a number of negative attributes about this post office. Most can be overlooked like the cleanliness or complete lack thereof, the lack of stocked items, the long line because it is grossly understaffed, however today I experienced what I would consider the worst offender. Her name is Norma and apparently she works at this location periodically as I have never seen her before. This woman is a miserable human being and it's a shame that she is allowed to interface with the public. She is very rude, unhelpful and unapologetic for her behavior. She wouldn't help me understand my options to send something, instead she sent me to the counter to fill out various forms, and had me wait in line again to ring me up. After I paid, I asked what the guaranteed delivery date was, she said there wasn't one and I needed to fill out a new form and wait in line again to be rung up again and refunded. Amazing, had she done her job properly and the first time and without her attitude, we both could have been done with the transaction promptly. Instead she chose to waste both her time and mine.
