Drivers regularly mark packages "undeliverable" if they do not fit in the mail box or If a signature is required. This is assuming the package was loaded onto the correct delivery truck. If you Try to call the post office you will spend 1:50 Waiting for the automated passport message and then 1 more minute of ringing before getting a busy signal. does not matter how many times you call, getting an answer is completely by chance and they do not have an answering machine. The office staff are actually helpful assuming you ever get to speak with them but even they seem frustrated with how poorly everything is ran. read more

When a graphic design school in Coeur d'Alene ID uses FedEx to ship 100 newsletters to me, it takes 4-5 days! But with our USPS service, I get them delivered to my door in 2 days, every time! This Post Office follows with USPS tradition (according to an article in the Washington Post) and lies when they fail to make a delivery. Tracking numbers say I have two packages out for delivery. Carrier delivers one to my door. The other one is not delivered. Tracking says there was no access to the delivery location. WTF she was just here. I ran the tracking number 20 minutes later. This time it says, "Package left at post office per customer's request. That is a blatant lie. That request was never made. I realize that the post office is very busy and there is only so much time in a day. But why can't they admit when they either ran out of time or just flat out missed a delivery. I for one would cut them some slack in those situations. But not when the flat out lie about it. read more

The reason for only two stars is because of some of the carriers. They seem to have difficulty putting mail in the correct mailbox. If you live in an area where there are locking mailboxes there is a possibility that your mail will be delivered to you by one of your neighbors. Because the postal carrier put it in their box instead of yours. If it is a parcel you did not receive and it was not misdelivered, they will LIE and say it was held at the post office at customers request. Also they will not contact the carrier to get information on a delivery. read more

This is the best post office I have been to in a long time. What they lack in my preferred amenities (the package/mailing kiosk and drop box for packages), they more than make up for in fast service. Even better, they have the friendliest and most helpful staff ever (shout out to Phil in particular). Most post offices have long lines AND long waits. We sent our daughter two birthday cards at the end of September. This is a tradition in our immediate family...one funny, one sentimental...this post office failed to deliver either one. I can maybe understand losing one, but both seemed strange to all of us. When questioned at the window she was given the standard "without a tracking number there is nothing we can do." Good answer but who pays for tracking on an envelope? Then in February I sent a flash drive to her with my granddaughter's senior pictures, again in an envelope (my bad) with extra postage, unneeded but a habit, and they lost that also. Now what are the odds? Again they gave the same wonderful answer when asked if they could see if it might be misplaced somewhere..."without a tracking number...." I'm thinking this little nugget of information might apply here... "Under United States Code 18 Section 1708, federal mail theft is a felony. This post office has horrible customer service from the post master and supervisor. I had a package that they said it was delivered to me but it never showed up. Went into post office to get the packaged geo tracked to see where the carrier scanned it. Didn't hear back from them so waited a week and called. This is by far the worst post office that I have ever had to deal with. For two years now I have been getting the previous owner's mail. I have written a letter to the Post Office requesting ONLY our mail to be delivered, I have called them up requesting that they pickup packages that they have delivered to the wrong address and I have gone into the Post Office giving back mail that was delivered to me. Why is this acceptable???? Now I'm suppose to get a package delivered to me today, tracking showed "Out For Delivery". I go to the post office daily in the community where I live. There has been good service and poor service like anywhere else. I don't meet the carriers very often, but recently I met one of the carriers in Moses Lake while she was on the job, her name is Olga. I was lost and needed help with directions. She was friendly and informative. It was obvious to me that she really loves her job. Government employees often get criticized and ridiculed and labeled as incompetent. They would be wrong to say that about Olga. It is great to see people work hard and like what they are doing! It is easy to write poor reviews or complain. I am happy to write a positive review. I usually wont come on here to express how i feel about a certain business or establishment but this post office in Moses lake Washington has just pushed my buttons one to many times. To start, when i first moved into my new apartment i had an issue with my mail not being picked up even though my flag was up and it was placed in the box on running mail days. When i went in with all my letters that haven't been picked up in days now, they stated to me that if they don't have any mail for you they don't have to stop.... i said but i share a box with 4 other units and your already there and see my flag up, they told me is would be a waste of the carriers time to check EVERY box, i thought that was there job? I let that go. Then, as most know,people like to take whats not theirs, and my mail started getting stolen and i was concerned about my personal info being out there i decided to rent a P.O box from them. I love it its convenient and i feel safe knowing i get what i order and all my bills on time. Well This month was different. EVERY month for the last 2 years i have never had problems with not receiving my packages on time, which is always in the first 2 weeks of the month. My tracking number states that they have my package and i have contacted the last hub to have my package, which was UPS, and they told me that they show in there system delivering my package to the Moses lake post office by the end of the day on the 10th , but yet from the 8th to the 24th i still haven't had my package delivered and when i went in 3 days in a row to address the situation i wasn't taken serious and wasn't helped what so ever. I called on the 4th day and spoke to the supposed general manager who said that I'm wrong and so is ups and they don't know what to tell me .NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL. read more

This is my second review for the Moses Lake USPS. My first review was in 2016. Performance has not changed. I wonder if they even read these? obviously not, or they just don't care about their service. I'm still not receiving my monthly statements from different creditors/banks regularly. I call to make sure my address is up to date, they tell me "yes, and that they have sent, not only the statements, but reminders". I wonder where they go when they don't reach my house? Neighbors? Trash? Returned? How hard do you suppose it is to run a mail route? How competent do you suppose you have to be to line up names and numbers? This is a common complaint for this town, and has been for years per all the google reviews. You would think they would try harder to make it better. Maybe my expectations are too high. I just need a little dependability when it comes to the mail, especially when I am expecting important documents. I am more than a littleiritated at the manager at the Soap lake post office. She refused to send my package. Then she shut down the P O COMPLETELY. She did this leaveing . 5/ five/ elderly patrons to find some other way to send there x/mass mail.
