She never answers the phone at the post office. When my mom has went in an explained what happened she dont understand. If you can't do a simple job in a little town then find a new job. Sometimes the wait is a little long, but it's understandable when you have a line and only 2 cashiers. The lawn is always maintained, and the building is always clean. I have never had any issues with the staff when we go in. We did have a hiccup with our mailman giving us mail that wasn't ours and loosing some of our mail, but the postmaster was very polite and helped get our mail and took the mail that wasn't ours.

Now the bad, specifically our normal postal carrier. This nice lady has run into my vehicle, driven multiple times through my yard (50 yrds), has driven my wife and my son off the road. The best part, our local USPS does not care. Our carrier is untouchable. Recently she decided she did not like my road maintenance level. Which interestingly is not an issue for any other carrier, and I know that because I ask. Even my carriers fill in driver's have indicated they have no issues. These issues have been going on for nearly 20 yrs. I have even been tasked to fix the shoulder of the county road from damage caused by her full gas full brakes driving style. So now, which is not a bad outcome, she has been invited to never deliver to my property again, which will be safer for everyone involved. As an aside, this is yet another government agency that have some members who will take great satisfaction in their ability to lord over you and make you dance to their music because they are virtually untouchable.

This station is for posting mail/packages and picking up if you have a post office box. It's not a distribution center like the main Oly branch. They sell express mail boxes and other mailing supplies too. The staff here couldn't be nicer. It reminds me of my boyhood days where the postal workers knew you by name. ("Oh, you're the guy getting x rated 8mm films...heh heh..."). Getting dumped on? Maybe at some postal stations but not the West side one.

After living in this state for almost literally forever and at different residences, I had the…read moreunfortunate situation with my mail carrier at my place after I moved there last summer, would give me my mail and then some but return at least 5 packages that were necessary and important in their own way. I stopped by when I checked in via yelp to correct the situation. On a late Saturday morning, spent about a hour in line and the ladies were kind and helpful but was told a few times I would need to fill out a green form to receive all my mail and that it would take 2 weeks to complete. I told her that Ive moved countless times and never had an establishment or a carrier not give that info or provide a form to me, as usps online is easy to update as is. Unfortunately the saga stretched up until last week when another package was returned after the fact and I called to usps to escalate the issue. The reply from the Lakewood office was quick enough but strange as the supervisor in email didnt acknowledge the error with her front end staff and carrier, didn't apologize the green form I signed was lost or for her carrier being petty and not giving the form in my mailbox as they should have been. Even us leaving notes for the carrier, it kept going. However they had me sign it again with now the carrier giving me a green form in my mailbox. Ive had at least 3 other corporate carriers find me (Amazon, FedEx, Trackit) multiple times since being here yet it seems the stigma of USPS precedes this location as well. Lately last few packages have arrived since then yet Im still a bit apprehensive every time! If theres a reply from usps on here, Im happy to share more receipts :)

As soon as I told Theresa who I was, she immediately remembered the phone call I had made approximately 2 weeks ago with questions regarding the mail delivery. She was very helpful and welcoming, answering all my questions. I also got to meet my carrier Kathy who was equally pleasant. I think I will like it here very much!
