Worst post office ever. The carriers don't do their job leaving packages or even a notice. I receive an email from Amazon stating that an attempt was made to leave my package and a notice was left. 1. I was at my office ALL day waiting on that package. 2. A notice was never even left. Which means I have to personally go to the post office the next day. Wait on the line which 95% of the time its reaching the door and then when i finally make it to the window I'm attended by a rude clerck stating its not her fault the delivery people don't do their job and then wait an additional 20 minutes while she looks for the package cause she claims nothing is ever sorted. I believe the only reason they haven't been shut down is cause the community still has to unfortunately rely on them cause their the only post office in the neighborhood. read more

Yelp should make an exception for this horrible Post Office and allow a zero-star rating! Easily the worst Post Office I've experienced in my 50+ years! One would think that it is deliberately being mismanaged as every aspect of package delivery is completely bungled. I receive packages several times a week shipped via UPS, FedEx & USPS and only ever have poor service from the Postal Office. Here are just some of the methods they've creatively developed to foil package delivery. 1. They don't even attempt to deliver. Can't count the number of times I've been sitting at home and received a text message from Amazon saying that the USPS just attempted delivery and no one was home. Especially popular for deliveries late in the day. 2. They don't leave a slip in my mailbox with the missed delivery information. Without text alerts I wouldn't know that they ever "attempted" delivery. Lack of a missed delivery slip also makes their "attempt" claim more dubious. 3. Packages for "missed" deliveries are supposed to be available for pickup after noon on the following day but PO staff frequently say that they haven't arrived and are late. 4. Lines to pick up (or conduct any other PO business) are usually long (30-45 minutes long). Especially aggravating when you find out that your package either is late arriving at PO or can't be located. Staff always request that you "come back later". Not sure how that would help when your package can't be found. 5. PO staff frequently and loudly lament that they're the only ones there and that they're trying but everything is going to take a while. If a customer complains they find an excuse to make them come back another time. Tends to keep the people in line from bitching too much. 6. USPS offers a "redelivery" option online for missed deliveries. Their website processes the redelivery request and issues a confirmation email, but the package never gets redelivered. Sometimes it never gets to the PO after the request either. I could go on, but you get the idea. If I could avoid ever having packages shipped via USPS I would, but some merchants (Amazon Prime!!!) don't let you pick the carrier. I guess the USPS under bids UPS & FedEx, but that's no excuse for a system that seems designed to frustrate the very businesses and customers that support it. read more

This post office management is failed 8 out of 10 packages are not delivered. Packages are marked as attempted delivery but no message is left. When you go pick up your packages they would be 15 to 20 people with the same story. Most don't have tracking and even if you have tracking the post office staff most of the time can't find your packages and you need to come back. If a box is too big for the mail box they are left in the lobby hallway. without a notice or any attempt by the mail delivery person to ring your downstair bell. The Truck Delivery person and the Cart Delivery person hates each other because anytime a person in my building sees any of them question are asked wheres my package one blame the other. I get a monthly delivered package from Amazon . the last 4 months that package has not been delivered. Today I have 4 packages that where scanned out for delivery on Nov. 29 it's December 4 there's no further scanned . the package no where to be found. this morning when the post office opened 30 people already in line. more than a hand full commented the same issue . they don't know where the package is after getting to 10030 post office and marked as out for delivery. On more than one of my visits to pick up undelivered packages I have witness post office employee loading packages cursing and saying I'll just leave these fucking packages downstairs I am not ringing any bells or going up. without any filters. Last year. December my holiday gift items from Macy's after getting to this post office disappeared after an investigation and Macy's sending the packages again. The original packages appeared in open boxes. sounds like some bad apples are working at this post office. read more

Saturday morning post office lines are no joke. All of the Monday through Friday 9-5pm are crowding this place with their many package requests and and whatnot. I don't know if it's because there is a lot of frustration about waiting in line for 20 minutes before being serviced but the Post Office holds way too much tension for me. Standing there I saw about 3 separate arguments, some with employees and customers and some with customers accusing each other of skipping in line. I came there to open a size 1 P.O. Box and to do so you need 2 forms of I.d verifying your address and I came with one. The post office worker let me fill out the paper work and come back to show her my other form of i.d. without waiting in line again. It was just $94 to open a box for 12 months and they through in a bonus month. While it was very entertaining to watch the crazies in the Post office, I am glad that I do not have to wait in line to check my box, I can walk in and check it and walk out. read more

Everyone in NYC complains that their neighborhood post office is the worst. But this one really is the worst. Understaffed, unpleasant, always a ridiculously long line, packages regularly lost & the carriers often don't leave notes for packages until it's a final notice. Today our mail was left outside of our building on the ground in the rain. Residents were home, but the carrier never bothered to buzz any of us. We've had reliable carriers in the past but it's like once they establish that they're actually decent at their jobs they get replaced. Or maybe they just realize that College Station is a hellhole to work in & they move on. In that respect I can't blame them. I've noticed people complain about the post office on 138th & 5th (which is actually closer to us & my preferred location if I have to mail something) but that branch is honestly worlds better than this one. read more

Ok I have been trying to reach the usps for this will be week2. Looking for a packages that was supposedly delivered on 12-18 at 115pm. Which was not delivered have waiting on the phone for a least 6 hours between 3 days. Today also waited for a call back when they did it went right to a survey. Grief to send email but if you don't have the address front wetter the package is coming from then that's no help. My next step is going to the post office its self. Terrible service. read more

She exhausted all avenues until she located my package that mistakenly had the wrong zip code. She not only located my package, but she called me to tell me that she had it. In my 29 years of life, I lived in 6 different states served in the Marine Corps and now currently work as a high school teacher in Harlem. So far this is by far THE WORST bureaucratic experience of my life. First of all, the postal worker never delivers a package and I have to use this post office if I want to take advantage of my Amazon Prime account. When I ordered a hat from ebay they returned it back to the sender a day earlier (13 days). A package from Amazon came completely damaged to the point of the item just falling out of the box. On top of their incompetent service, the workers here give you a lot of negative attitude. They listen to their music on their earphones. They take 10 mins to pick up your package from the back. When I swallowed my pride and said "Thank you" to the lady, she just looked at me and said "Next!" If I had time I would like to petition to get everyone fired. It enrages me that my tax money is going to the pockets of these idiots. read more

I live 6 blocks from here & I have to mentally & physically (My feet really) prepare myself for the long ass line that I'm about to endure & witness. There's always either 1 or 2 usps workers there. Like WTF! They take forever just to provide customer service to 1 person. If you're coming just to pick up a package, you're shit out of luck cause you still have to make the line with the rest of the frustrated people (to your right) & look stupid as you make your walk there to the back of the line. This post office is very convenient for me, of course you have to wait on the lines like anywhere else to receive or send anything at a certain time. But this post office always delivers to my door if I am not their I know my package is safely in the station. I have no hesitations to call. One of the workers there that I am Really trust of is Sharon Sutton teller #7, she is awesome and knows how to greet a customer the right way. She always will be there to make sure everyone has their packages and does it in a orderly fashion, if I was at the college station for anything I will ask her to help! read more

i recieved a slip in my box on 7/19/16 : "sorry we missed you . . .", i was in my house at the time. the carrier did not tell the front desk of my bldng to buzz me and tell me there was a package for me . my bldng has a 24/7 front desk concierge/security officer in the lobby. i called the 800# that nite & received a confirmation # for rediivery. i was home 7/20/16, and the carrier wrote in the log "no secure place to leave the package", this is a complete lie since the lobby front desk job is to vet visitors, and notify tenants by intercom if they have a delivery or a visitor, etc. i called the 800# tonite & was given a confirmation # again for redilivery on 7/22/16. i will be home tomorrow w/my home aid as usual, since i am a 70 yr old disabled, mobility impaired, senior citizen, and i have lived in this bldng for 12yrs, so the carrier is well aware that i can't come to the po for pick-up. this is an example of elder abuse, abuse of a disabled person, abuse of a senior citizen, abuse of a legally blind person, and harrasment and terrorizing a home bound person. perhaps i can have them all put in prison. wish me luck. read more
