Store hours say open at 8:30am, twice in one month I go there to drop off packages around 9am. They are not open. Even an employee is standing outside waiting for key to start business. I had an item to be sent from US to Europe. The store gave me options UPS and USPS. I took USPS because I trusted the option. However, it turns out that USPS does not care about packages that are sent outside of the US (I contacted them), that there is no tracing of the shipping (!). So proposing such an option for shipping an item that costs more than $5000 is actually unprofessional. Additionally, the question of the insurance did not even came up, although I mention the price for insurance purposes. The package got lost in Brazil instead of being sent to Europe and is lost forever. I lost the entire money read more

I like the new store at on 2nd Ave between 61 and 62 but went there today at 10:50 am. The lights were on and the door open...so I went in...only to be told to leave as the store opens at 11:00???? The kid at the counter was busy on his cell phone. Are you kidding me. I am a senior and should go back out and stand in the cold rain for 10 mins when all I was doing was dropping something off? No apology nor explanation...he did not even try to be friendly. Staff needs better training in manors and customer service. read more

This company is the worst. I would advise everyone to stay away from UPS. I paid $51 for an overnight shipment which had timely sensitive documents that I needed to be delivered ASAP. and I wish I didnt. They lost my package and the couldn't locate it. When I went to the UPS store to ask where my package is they told me we will open an investigation to get to the bottom of this and that was Sept 21st, since then I call everyday to follow up and every time I get a different answer. They said wee located the package and the when I call the next day they say we are still trying to located and you have to wait for 15 business day. Don't trust this company with your packages. If they lose your package. There is nothing you can do about it. I'm giving this company 1 star on every branch and every social media. I want to expose how unreliable and unprofessional this company is. read more

Kavi said he was heading over to Whole Foods later in the day and he would take my package there for drop off. I can not thank him enough for such customer service. I recently had an AWFUL experience with this UPS store. I shipped some of my mother's things to family in Virginia and California. My mother recently passed away, so these were precious heirlooms with a lot of emotional significance. I hired this UPS store to professionally pack and ship my belongings, which cost me $1200 in total. The result was the following: - 1 floor lamp arrived completely damaged. It was made of sturdy metal and the metal was bent, and the glass parts were shattered - A second floor lamp arrived 3 weeks late and completely damaged. Glass parts were shattered. - Items clearly labeled to go to Virginia were sent to California, and vice versa - A box arrived completely splitting open We shipped the items a month ago and have still yet to see a single cent of reimbursement for the extensive damages and sheer carelessness of the services we received. We've filed complaints and claims through UPS corporate, yet no one at the company has stepped up to actually take any action to correct the situation. While the UPS store did arrange a complementary pickup service in order to ship the mixed up items to their correct destinations, they have failed to compensate a single one of the damaged items or for the packing service, which they did such a poor job on. The manager of UPS store #0647, Mark, has been unresponsive and unhelpful, failing to return repeated calls and emails as if trying to avoid having to deal with the situation. These items are irreplaceable, and I am absolutely outraged at the total lack of professionalism and compassion, and the terrible customer service, at this UPS store. read more

I have been a customer at this store almost since it opened decades ago. It has Always been a very pleasant experience. That changed today with a hostile employee at the register who after telling me one price, changed to another and would not explain. When I said it was confusing, he said did not need to be of service & walked away. I asked for pkg back and when he gave it me there was another customers item inside mine. So not only hostility but also incompetence. He was a heavy set man wearing long braids seething with anger. Take 30 mins to get there and take the afternoon off work and they tell me the "guy" isn't in today...why wouldn't you call and let your customers know, especially when they have an actual scheduled appointment with you. I was charged $90 plus wrapping and insurance for delivery of my package to Florida. It was returned to the New York store. Even though UPS called me from Florida to ascertain the correct address which had been entered incorrectly, it was returned anyway. There will not refund any part of the charges. And indeed I would have to pay again for a proper delivery. NEVER AGAIN UPS. read more

The staff can be a hit or miss but what I find outrageous is your are not allowed to pack inside the store. I bought a tape and a box but the employee stated to me "You are not allowed to pack inside the store" and I had just bought the packing material from their store . I wasn't in the mood to argue just had to laugh at some business policies to try to squish every penny out of you. I packed outside their doors handed my package and left . I haven't went back and I doubt I will be going back. Passport photos are also a joke in this place . This was, by far, the most friendly and professional staff I've ever worked with at a UPS store or shipping company. I came in with 4 boxes filled with delicate 3D prints. Dominick and Dyno looked over my packages and suggested that they would repackage everything. Dyno repacked every print taking extra care to make sure each part was wrapped to survive the trip. I have been using the services of this UPS store for the past few months since moving to this neighborhood and I can honestly say that going to this store is a pleasant experience. Like most people I dread those errands but the staff is so helpful and nice it's a pleasure to go there. Jackson, the college student that is hired as summer help is polite, knowledgable and a pleasure as is Darcell another full time employee. However, Dyno the manager is the most wonderful and sets the tone for the whole team. I came in yesterday to send a package and she was familiar with the return policy of the store I was returning my item to and offered to go on her computer to help me send my package so that I didn't have to go home to do it. She was happy to help and said she likes to treat people the way she would like to be treated. We need more people in the service industry (and everywhere, to feel that way!). OK, you're not going to believe this one...my daughter went into this store to mail her car keys back to us on Long Island. She didn't want to spend the $15 to track the package (her fault), so they sent it via Parcel Post, which they said would take a few days. Two weeks went by and I had still not received the keys. I called Mark at the store, who first denied it was his store that sent the package until I gave him the receipt number and the name of the employee that assisted my daughter. He said he was too busy to talk and that I should send him an email, which I did promptly. After another 4-5 days of not hearing from him, I sent him another email, which he never responded to. A few more days after that, my daughter received the keys back...apparently, the employee at the store forgot to put postage on the envelope, so Parcel Post returned the package. Really? Forgot to put postage on? So my daughter went back to tell them what happened, and they refunded her money, which was nice, but clearly not the point. If you have anything important to send anywhere, you'd be foolish to use this establishment. read more

The store manager went above and beyond her minimum obligations to assist me in shipping out a delicate and fragile product. She was extremely courteous, professional and very friendly while always maintained a positive attitude during a time the store was flooded with customers. That's right .....unforgettable, in that during what was a family crisis, Mark, the owner, came to my rescue and helped empty out a studio apartment and ship it to another state. I was not in the best emotional state and really needed to depend upon the kindness of strangers. Mark's help was INVALUABLE. He quickly assessed what needed to be packed and took care of everything. He was so efficient and worked very quickly. True human kindness has no price tag. His staff was also excellent. Everything arrived on time and safely. I highly recommend this store. read more
