From what we all saw the keys were in the door and our neighbor was just 5feet from the door where we were all standing once she left the keys were missing. When she was approached she flat out lied and denied it claiming someone let her in. There was NO ONE THERE WE WERE THE ONLY ONES STANDING THERE THE ENTIRE TIME AND NONE OF US LET HER IN. I wonder how in the world this mail service continues to operate. All the workers do is shoot themselves in the foot by using absolutely no common sense. Ten years ago I quit trusting them to deliver my checks on time to utilities, banks and vendors for their failure to execute timely deliveries. They lost two of my visa payments and caused me to have to pay $80 in Kate fees--$40 for each account. I now mail very little correspondence anywhere and I'm thankful for electronic payments today. That was 2010. Now, in 2022, I'm a regular with Amazon, and unfortunately, some sellers on the site still rely on USPS as carriers. This organization is devoid of any logic or common sense. Why, if I order an item out of Chattanooga, TN coming to Florida would the post office hold the item in Atlanta for a solid week and then send the package to Memphis, TN? Even when you try to pick a vendor fairly close to home to send you something, the USPS has to make it harder. I have already waited ten days for this item, and I'm counting the days until I receive it--likely beaten up as though it's been through a war. The subpars at Colonial Park Post Office did it yet again. They received my Amazon package June 15, 2021 @ 6:32 a.m.. Instead of processing the package, the subpars sent the package to a post office at a FAR DIFFERENT zip code. It is obvious that these subpars can't read a simple package. I need to use this Post Office all the time. Usually the lights are out, there are no supplies, the line is out the door, the air inside is hot and stale and they have one agent at the window. My complaint is they put my, mail in others people's mail boxes! Also I receive others mail in my mail box. My income tax was missing for 3 days! I am notified by informed mail notification. If you live close by they tend to deliver your package late or not at all. This happens almost constantly and I've lived near it for 14 years. Christmas time is the absolute worst. From the lies about the delivery attempts to the broken, lost, not to mention STOLEN. Read any review of a post office in NYC and you're bound to see the claim "This is the worst Post Office in the city," but rest assured, that THIS in fact is the worst Post Office in NY. Sadly, I can kind of see both sides of the story at the Post Office- I know that I would get tired of dealing with ungrateful, rude, impatient people (especially at this particular branch), as I repeat the same answers to the same questions over-and-over throughout any given day. But that shouldn't be an excuse to turn one into a rude, impatient employee. Perhaps it's easier said than done, but if you are miserable at your job, how's about looking for a new job? The last 2 packages I received were damaged by the US post office. Tracking often doesn't notify of packages delivered. Last week, 2 new books were left on sidewalk outside my door where they sat in the RAIN for 24 hours before I went out & literally tripped over a wet box of wet & warped new books (nice gift, eh?) Yesterday, I signed for a package of herbal products which the mailman was holding sideways. AFTER I signed/accepted package, I saw why. There was a huge slit on bottom of big envelope & both herbal product bags, inside also had large slits. 1/2 of the products were gone, slid out through the opening and remaining product was exposed to God-knows-what sort of nasty germs, left open to air. This is the single worst place I have ever been to. And I will never step foot inside this hell hole again. Oh, here's my story... My health insurance told me that this office location has been returning my mail back to them. But I receive all other mail. I call this office. Of course no reply. I go down to the office. I see customers in front of me arguing with the tellers. I'm embarrassed to even be here. I can clearly see and hear tension as everyone else in line complains about this place and how long the line is. Now it's finally my turn. I explain that some of my mail is not being delivered. She says oh it's because my name isn't on the mail box. I explain that my name has not been on a single mail box in 10 years but I have still received mail for 10 years. However at my new address I only receive select mail. Something clicks in her head and she tells me to wait at #5 for the manager. I go to #5 and wait. 7 minutes later another woman walks up, doesn't bother to look at me, and screams over me "NEXT!" I say to her "Excuse me, I was told to wait here for the manager. Are you the manager?" She looks at me like I'm retarded and says. "No." Then she looks past me and screams again "NEXT!" I just got kicked out of line by the staff at this post office. I filed a report with the USPS. My case numer is CA12501220. They keep trying to close the case despite no one at this office speaking with me. The first guy, Mr Traynor, left me voice mail with the wrong number after USPS office hours. I got the correct number (from the USPS main line) the next day when USPS opened to find out that Mr Traynor had closed the case. I explained my situation and they opened the case and sent it to Ruben Gonzalez. A couple of days later I get another VM from a different guy at this office that decided not to identify himself. This case is ongoing... Clearly this post office can't deliver mail. Clearly no one who works at this post office wants to do their job. Clearly no one should get paid to work here. I must have had a dozen or so packages say they attempted to deliver but no one is home... we are in a global pandemic of course we are home but the mail carriers are either too lazy or too inept to press one single button to notify me and leave my package downstairs. However, that's the day we were suppose to have our "epic" snow storm in NYC and so I'm pretty sure nothing was being delivered that day. Incompetence of delivery drivers is astounding. Tracking the package and details say "delivered at 10:21 and directly handed to the resident". That's great and all except who was it handed to???? All 3 of us were in the apartment awake at that time hanging out and the doorbell never rang. This is a really horribly run Post Office. It often fails to deliver mail. It's delivery people will often intentionally NOT bring your package, but instead plan to leave a sticker at your door so you're forced to walk up and pick it up. I know this because I have a wife with 2 kids who is often home when the sticker is placed on our door. Not even a doorbell ring. So then she has to traipse up to the post office with a 2 year old and a 7 month old and wait in a short line that takes 45 minutes to get through (because of how inefficient they are) only to speak to a rude representative whose goal, it seems, is to be unhelpful. read more

The Colonial Post Office is the worst for delivering mail or packages. It loses packages, telling you lies that it was either delivered, will be delivered (never shows up) and cannot track your shipment using the tracking number. employees are rude, disrespectful and liars. waited one month trying to trace shipment they sent me back and forth from their location to another each claiming package was there. never did get and demanded refund from shipper and left shipper to deal with PO. here it is a year later and the same thing is happening. after trying to trace with USPS for three hours, called shipper I am willing to pay extra for service other than USPS shipper agreed to resend using another delivery and I will definitely return original shipment should I EVER receive.
