These people are honestly the worst I have ever seen. One, they don't know the basis of customer service, so I apologize in advance if you ever have to speak to one of their "Representatives" if you can even call them that. Two, they don't seem to have an organized system because this isn't the first time they don't know where my mail is, nor will it probably be the last. If you can please avoid this location, you are better off asking a brick wall for help then those useless people at this USPS office. This Post office should be shut down. The carrier is no longer bringing my mail. My housing management called me to ask if I was getting my mail. I told them no even though I can see it on the USPS delivery. I truly believe the carrier is stealing the mail and all packages that come to my address. They even put other ppls mail in my box. I keep reporting this Post Office to the main USPS service. My packages are NEVER delivered. My husband has a disability to he's home all day, why is it that my package is never delivered!! I get the same message "No Secure Location Available"! What...HOW ABOUT RINGING MY BELL AND DELIVERING MY PACKAGE?!?! They always claim they leave a note, never leaves a note. I pay extra to have my packages delivered, why can't they be delivered. I'm thinking that they are doing this on purpose so their location can be closed because this is the laziest USPS in the city!!! AND WHY IS THEIR PHONE RINGING BUSY FOR THE PAST THREE WEEKS!!!! When I called the the 800 number, they said that they did not have any notification that the phone lines were down, so that meant that this post office has been leaving the phone off the hook!! I think they want us to come all the way to the post office to pick up our package...if you don't want to do your job, I know TONS of people who are out of work who will do it!! This location needs to clean house and bring in an entirely new staff, SERIOUSLY! Do what I do! Call the 800 number and file a Claim. This post office is the worst. Always a long line, that moves very slow and the staff act is if you are annoying them. Unfortunately this is my zoned post office and every time i have to go pick u a package the wait is 30 minutes or more. this location should be shut down. Horrible service. Avoid it at all times. The worst service ever. Each time I miss a delivery and have to schedule a re delivery they don't show up. This is constant. If you can find a different post office to order packages through 100% try to do that. These people are terrible my wife's medication was sent in the mail and was supposed to be signed for. Instead of it being delivered to us it was brought to a different address where it was accepted without signature. They have admitted to being at fault but it has been a week and they have been everything but cooperative and my wife still hasn't gotten her medicine. Most post offices are unbearable and I haven't spent enough time at this one to determine if it truly is or not. But today I chased a package all over the city starting at 7am, it was supposed to be delivered but the apartment number was left out of the label so the package began its journey back to sender. I had given up after my regular post office told me it wasn't there. In a last attempt I called this post office and spoke with probably the nicest postal worker in existence who immediately got all my information, put me on hold, found my package and placed it aside for me. She told me exactly where it was and her name (Tirado) in case I had any problems with pick up. Twenty minutes later I picked up my package with ease (besides telling some creep to stop staring at me but that's not the post office's fault). So anyway yeah my experience here was a delightful Christmas miracle. read more

If I could I would give this post office no stars. My wedding cake topper was delivered on the 18th of June when I wasn't home. so I got a note on the door. Me and my husband went to the post office to pick it up,but it wasn't in their facility(we live on 155th 8th ave) this is our post office, anyway they told me it was in the delivery truck, so then I called to schedule a redelivery for June 27th, but guess what?..... It never came. So I called the post office to see what's wrong, then they told me they were behind on deliveries and it should be coming today between 2-4, but guess what?..... It's not here. At this point I am UPSET! I called and this guy picks up and I tell him what happened, then he tells me they are delayed so I tell him, I can not wait and I have to work tomorrow. Well it's not like I can just have my mail sent to the post office of my choice. If I could this would not be it. I try to have my merchandise delivered to my job, since i am there all day. However on occasion I need to have things delivered to my home address. Whenever that happens, I surely dread walking to the ratchet post office. So apparently on Saturdays the door opens at 8:00 for self service??? The window opens at 9:00.. Oh but that's not it, try dealing with incompetent employees, that can't read Federal ID's.....I go to retrieve my package...give in my passport card and my slip. The employee looks at the card and says who is -ie :Mark. I say Mark is my last name!!!! She says Oh I'm sorry I didnt see that Que? I have been going to this Post Office since I moved into Upper Manhattan / Harlem 3 years ago. I love this place, YES sometimes there is a wait but they are understaffed and the implemented budget cuts have nothing to do with the great customer service received. They do not give packages to people who do not have Identification and follow the same protocol as every other United States post office in NYC. On one of more recent experiences, I am super happy I arrived 5 minutes before closing on Friday evening Dec 19th to mail out an international to the UK package last minute. The driver was supposed to leave at 5:20pm and waited for me to finish the required customs form to ensure my large package was sent out. On top of that the delivery date, because it was past the guarantee Christmas time was expected to be Dec 29th. The package arrived Dec. 23rd!! I am so happy !!! I have a Post Office box here as well for my business and unlike other post offices that return your mail when your box is full they hold onto it. The staff here are very friendly, professional and knowledgeable, its sad that people complain when they know that its understaffed, you have to arrive either super early or close to closing just like at the DMV. I have witnessed them being yelled at because of the line. Lets face it USPS is on a budget just trying to hold on to employees let alone hire new ones. This post office has the worst delivery service and customer service all together. Last Dec 2015 I ordered 3 items from fingerhut for my son and little cousin but 2 of the items never were delivered. This post office was the last drop off from UPS before the post man lied and stated he delivered a 5.5lbs box to my mailbox at 11:58pm (I was home by the way). For two days I was given the worst customer service from this post office that never answered the phone and lied about the issue being resolved (so I had to reopen the claim, that still to this day has not been resolved). I also had to deal with another post office located on Amsterdam avenue and 144th Street during this process the staff there was so unhelpful and rude over the phone. The 1800 service is useless because the rep just takes down the info your given them and ships it's somewhere else and tells you someone will call but they never did. I received a letter about the employee who was a supervisor from the 144th Amsterdam location apologizing for her bad customer service but no letter or call about my missing items. I had to file a police report, send it to fingerhut to prove I didn't receive the 2 items and then reorder the items again. Oh and guess what one of the items was out of stock, smfh!!!! These people stole my items that were gifts for a 4 year old and 5 year old and didn't care about it. My advice if your getting anything delivered from the post office, ask to pick it up instead of being delivered or have a must sign feature for your delivery. I reordered on January 26th and received my package on February 2nd from UPS of course (I asked for a signature feature this time). read more
