Writing a review on the River's Ave Post Office. It seems like using standard mail to send letters is a dying art , but it feels great to come here and send letters to my loved ones. They make the experience easy and the staff are waiting with smiles to help you of you are a little rusty with the process. They have tape and scissors available for free if you need it and all of my questions were answered quickly. It felt great coming here again as it reminded me of when I would come here with my grandmother. Sending my family holiday cards was so memorable and I can't wait to come here again. read more

Lowering my review of this location. Over the last year they've misplaced more and more incoming mail. Several items that I knew were coming were never placed in my PO box, and I've received mail for other PO boxes, often for ones not remotely close to my box number. The sorting employees here are just getting lazy or not paying attention to what they're doing when distributing mail. The service at the counter has always been pretty good, but mail delivery is very hit or miss. read more

This is one of the better, more organized post offices in the area. It always looks crowded from the outside but there's rarely a wait inside. They have a lot of clerks available and it moves quickly. Those picking up packages with slips left in their mailboxes have a separate line. I've never had an issue with any of th clerks. Everyone is very polite. Even during crazy shipping season, they are patient and helpful. I never seem like an inconvenience. read more

This post office is one of the better around. The lines are long but the wait time is short. The window clerks are knowledgeable, friendly and do a good job of moving the line along. Ms. Debbie and Ms. Nia are knowledgeable and friendly as well. The lady I see cleaning the lobby is always willing to help whenever I ask or see someone else ask her for help. She tries her best to accommodate. read more

Customer service does not exist here. I don't ship from the post office very often but in this case had to come here for work. The clerk was not helpful at all. They never offered any assistance or even suggestions. Only after I was looking at the packaging for a minute the clerk finally said, "just put it in an envelope" No, can I help you find something? No, do you need assistance? Rude AF! I don't normally come to the post office but after this interaction I don't know if I ever will unless absolutely necessary. read more

I've forgotten what a pain it is to mail a letter when out and about -- are there are no more mailboxes on street corners anymore? So the drive up and drop in mailboxes are a nice idea, no need to get out of the car. The clerks are quite helpful and try to keep the line moving, as there have been times here of mass mailings when the line did not move well at all. Perhaps it's a seasonal matter more so than a staffing matter. The parking lot is large, customers entering and exiting all are considerate to each other every time I've come thru. read more

Pulling into the parking lot and you see around 20 cars, you know you are about to wait in line. But I really wanted Christmas stamps so there was no turning back. I headed in and sure enough, it was over a dozen people long. Guess what though? There was 5 windows open! And all the people with slips picking up packages were funneled to one line on the end. So it was super quick and easy. Off I was with my Santa clause stamps to send Christmas cheer to my friends and family. :) read more

Three times within the last month we have not been receiving mail in our community. I've called made a complaint three times and it still keeps happening. I get other peoples mail that don't even live with me. I have mail gone missing all the time and when I called about mail, not coming, I was told it was because they were short staffed and didn't have anybody to do our route, the post office on Rivers Avenue then place a rude, nasty same with the supervisors and managers. No one calls you back no one picks up the phone and no one resolve the issue. read more

One star because I need you One star because you're awful. I have lived her 1 month and have not received all my mail. My bank sent an acknowledgment letter yet my debit and credit cards along with family mail has not arrived. I've lived many places and have never had this issue. The mail lady walks to the apartment mail box empty handed no bag no junk mail nothing! I get that the south is slow but this here is just plain wrong. I come to this post office quite often since it is near where I work. There is normally always a line and usually two poeple working the several counters that are there. Everyone is always very nice though. It could use a good cleaning inside and outside. The parking lot is full of cigarette butts all over and it just looks a bit dishoveld inside. read more

I got to admit I used to hate going to the Post Office. To me it was right up there with going to the dentist. I was pleasantly surprised during my two visits to this Post Office. I was even in just before Christmas and even then I had a good experience. Things moved quickly and the employees were nice. My distaste for the Post Office stems from many bad experiences at a Las Vegas Post Office. Long lines, inefficiency and hateful employees were the norm each and everyday. Thankfully at this location Southern hospitality and efficiency are the words I would use to describe them. read more

This Post Office has the worst service. First I ordered mattress to be shipped to my home. The postal worker claimed to have tried to deliver them" but the mail box was full." I knew by that statement that I would never get them. I had an out of town emergency and left a note on the front door for my neighbor to receive pkgs. I used the mobile app to reschedule delivery. Waited at home all day, but No package was delivered. My husband went to Post Office next day and found out that the postal NON worker was Seven months pregnant and could not lift the boxes. That is why I did not get my packages. This woman should have been on leave with the Tax Payer probably paying the bill. This time my husband stopped the mail at post office for 10 days. Some mail was delivered anyway. Had to extent our trip by 4 days. Went to get mail today and they only gave him 4 pieces of more than 32 pieces this week alone. This Post Office needs to be investigated by the Postal Generals Office. read more

Worst customer service experience ever. Ordered a key for my mailbox in mid Feb and after multiple phone calls and attempts to get the key, I have finally been told it is available. Original order was supposed to take 3 days (been almost 3 mths). Was told on at least 2 occasions after attempting to pick up the key on a Sat that I would receive a phone call on Monday regarding the status. Never received a phone call. It finally took me requesting to speak to the person over that facility and refusing to speak to the counter people to get an answer. read more
