Instead of helping process the packages, the employee immediately told me she "needed to stop at 12" and repeatedly pressured me about the truck leaving. I have a disability that affects my cognitive processing under pressure, and the interaction caused me to become visibly overwhelmed and unable to pull up my QR codes quickly. When the clock hit 12, I was told "It's 12. I need to stop" and was refused service and told to leave, despite already being inside before closing. What upset me most is that there was no attempt at patience, flexibility, or basic empathy. Even if the packages couldn't make that day's truck, they still could have been accepted for the next shipment day. Because this happened on a Saturday before Memorial Day, I'm now delayed several extra days, which matters because reselling is currently my only source of income after losing my job due to disability. I understand employees have schedules and pickup deadlines, but customers who arrive before closing should not be treated this way. The interaction felt unnecessarily cold and dismissive.

Here's the thing about old documents,like maybe some of you out there, I still had a lot left going back some 16 to 17 years. Now like a lot of people out there I have a shredder. Let's be honest though,how many of us (10 pages at a time) will actually shred such a big amount in a relatively short time? Raise your hand. (Pause). Yeah me neither. This is where neighborhood parcel comes into the picture. They are quick and efficient. If you take the drive up there my advice is to look for parking space 999( no not even making this up) as that is right in front of the building. They remembered me from a few years ago (hey I had a ton of old papers then). They are friendly as well and weigh each loose bag by the pound. Ironically I filled out and had them mail out the notarized certificate of document destruction. They will also email it to you only if you prefer. I can't tell you how much time they saved me (as I am getting to that stage in life of weighing time vs. money vs. the fact I won't do it all myself in this case). The relief of knowing that these old documents I was never going to look at again were all gone is priceless. When I asked for help with packaging, I was basically told I had to do it myself and showed where the boxes were with the packaging materials. I told the gentleman that I did not know if it would fit. He didn't speak very good English and told me if it didn't fit I would have to go buy a bigger box and come back! He was also having trouble with the touch screen computer he was using with the woman in front of me. I waited 10 minutes and told him, "Fine, I'll go to UPS" and walked out! Absolutely no hospitality whatsoever! I will never send packages out from there ever again! My advice, Go to UPS in Swampscott where they met me at the door and couldn't do enough to help. They have PO Boxes here, you can obtain money orders here, and the usually have really nice stamps and stay up to date with newly released stamps. It is a smaller post office and while there is a little side lot, its not supposed to be used for usps customer, it is for the adjacent building and the business/customers there. There is street parking across the street and down a little bit further, with a handicap spot right out front.

DELIVER PACKAGES... you know... THEIR JOB. Post office is always packed during their limited hours, so it adds at least a half hour to my day when I have to pick up. The staff is friendly and quick. They only have 1 window so if there is a line you will be there for a while. It's go The good thing about this location is that is in Richover oh I mean Andover Center you can get a ton of stuff done while making your trip to the post office.
