I've never had any trouble with this method post office. You're in and out super fast with pre-paid returns. Everything else I've needed has been hassle-free Their line is usually a little longer than the one on Seagaze Dr, but I expect that for a larger location. Seagaze Dr is closer to me, but this location is open longer so I usually pop in and out on my way home from work. I have walked here, the walk along Mission is rather unpleasant due to noise and lack of shade, but it doesn't stop me. The location itself has a very stroller friendly lay out. The door closest to the parking lot actually puts you at the front of the line and right next to the prepaid package drop off. Walk in through the P.O. Box entrance if you don't want to feel like you're swimming upstream. read more

I don't know what kind of supervisors they have here, but I give them an F! Our mailboxes were broken into at my condominium complex. While it took a long time for the post office maintenance department to come fix the locks the supervisors at this location allowed our mail to basically be thrown in a huge pile so when we came to pick up our mail, it was impossible to get it.. unbelievable! What a lack of responsibility and supervision . There were medications that I didn't get, letters that were basically lost for weeks, it was a complete disaster. Update to review: I submitted a mail hold once again 2 weeks ago and when I returned my mail was not delivered. I called the post office and asked why my mail was not delivered and they realized that they forgot to send the mail with the mail carrier and said they would send it "tomorrow". Again they forgot to send it "tomorrow". I called again and just said never mind I would pick it up and sure enough, there it was sitting in the post office, undelivered and on hold 3 days after my return date that I posted on my request. I I'm away again this week. Let's see if they can get it right. The manger Robert is rude and lazy. I changed my address online and for apartment unit options there was only letters. However, my apartment complex is only numbers. I haven't gotten any of my mail and the post office was rude when I went in to change my unit number, to a number instead of a letter. They told me I was wrong and if I change it to a number I won't receive my mail. IM ALREADY NOT RECEIVING MY MAIL because there are no unit letters in my complex. Went online to request a Mail Hold while on vacation. Upon my return, found my mailbox stuffed with over two-weeks of mail. Went to this Oceanside location to find out why after I received a confirmation that my mail was still delivered. After a few minutes, the Saturday Supervisor.. a Mr. Ron Alo Jr. came out and told me when you fill out the mail hold online, and get a confirmation... that it's, and I quote... "Hit or Miss" that the mail will be held properly. "Hit or Miss" is their policy. Mr. Alo was very rude and dismissive. And of course there is no accountability and zero desire to actually fix, or even address the problem. "Hit or Miss" should not be the answer. My solution is to go paperless as much as possible. I have changed ALL my bills to "Paperless Billing" and I found a website called CatalogChoice and I have cancelled all our shopping catalogs. Found another site where I was able to cancel all the Credit Card offers, and I also attempted to cancel the weekly junk mail/grocery mailers for our entire building. We'll see how that works out. Hoping to make the Post Office as obsolete as possible in my world. If I can relegate them to grocery mailers, and last choice for Amazon and other deliveries, the better. read more

I had a package said to arrive requiring my signature and the driver didn't even show up to the house. They decided it was easier for them to just write "no authorized recipient available" and went on about their day. Additionally, I set the rescheduled delivery for the next day and it has updated and have gotten no further updates. this post office is the most slow and has the most inconsistent deliveries I've ever dealt with. read more

Ron, the supervisor, is a complete jackass. He is extremely hostile to customers. He was so rude to the person in front of me. Talked down to him in a condescending manner that was uncalled for. He tried to do the same thing to me and I ended up yelling back at him and he changed his tone right after that. My package was being held at their post office for a week and now they can't find it. He came back 5 minutes later, telling me I was correct, that my package is indeed in their office. They just have no idea where it is. Not only is he rude and hostile to customers, he's also incompetent at his job. This is the worst run Post Office I have ever been too. The Manager, John is completely useless. I send out books to clients and came with 15 boxes of books to mail. The line wound all the way to the door at the far end. There was only one agent working. In the meantime, the manager, John, just sat in his office in plain view of all the people in the line and did not get out of his chair to help. He didn't call in more people, he did nothing. Finally another agent came in and the one who had been working turned to the newly arrived agent and said "I am going to lunch now" The new agent said, "you can't go now, we have to get this line down". The original agent then said as loud as she could so all the customers could hear, "but what about me, I am hungry, I guess these customers don't care about us and out stomachs". She was not joking, she was totally serious. People in line were getting madder and madder and more inpatient as the line was not moving. Meanwhile, John the manager just sat in his office chair watching the line of angry customers and offered no help. Finally a third agent peeked around the corner and yelled "John, we have a huge line out here we need some help". Did John move, no he did not. It took me 40 minutes to get to an agent finally because the line was so long and there was only 1 agent working and then finally 2. After awhile the agent who yelled for John, must have gotten off his break because he then came out to help (this happened just as I got to the counter). You have never seen such an angry, frustrated group of customers as were in that line. John, the manager should be fired, he was beyond useless. It is post office service like this that gives all Postal workers a bad name. John, you are ruining the US Postal Services reputation. Time for you to retire or get fired. Worst Post Office service ever. Don't go there unless all other locations within 15 miles are closed down. read more

I spent a good deal of time hunting for a box that would even fit what I was mailing. Packed the item in layers of bubble wrap inside the box. Mailed it yesterday morning. Get an email saying it had been delivered to a PO box at the same Post Office I mailed it from? So I paid $25 to have it delivered 25 feet away? Now I'm supposed to fight the Christmas mail crowds for them not doing their job? BS Just spoke with John. He said they scanned it as incoming by mistake and it's in San Diego. This is unacceptable. This post office delivers to us on base and the post person continually leaves our confidential mail out in the open by leaning the boxes open as pictured in the photo. I don't understand why this carrier hasn't been fired. He or she continually leaves these doors open and also switches our mail and has been found by several residents to not deliver packages to their door but keep them in her postal van for a while. This is a standard post office location. Sometimes it moves quickly and you're in and out, sometimes it takes a long time to get through the line. The building it pretty beat up and is in desperate need of an OSHA inspection on behalf of the employees (visible water damage, probably mold, generally gross) but this is what we got I guess. A package that I was suppose to receive and looking arrived a day early. I checked the tracking Imana it said it was still at the post office and not out for delivery. I went to the office and spoke to an attendant who told me they hadn't sort it out yet. I go back the next day because it's still their and I'm told by a different attendant that it should be out for delivery. The next day it is said to arrive late. Now it's in Illinois. Honestly this is why people use UPS and FedEx and the Government Postal Service is losing money. We have had the wrong mail delivered to the wrong address -2 to 3 pieces a week for over a year now. Our previous carrier retired. We have a new carrier that is very unprofessional. I have discussed this issue and brought it to the supervisors at Brook Street Past Office. they were of no help what so ever. I no longer use any USPO services unless I am desperate. The saga continues. After a conversation with Karen, who was very helpful, we had a lockbox installed in the front of the building containing an apartment key for USPS. We were told this would satisfy the rules although this isn't safer than having a driver simply enter a pin code in our automated entry system (in which a video system captures pictures of the person who enters), was expensive to have installed and is a pure environmental waste. This was approved and inspected by her and others from the post office. For a week we got deliveries. Now USPS is again failing to deliver, claiming they won't use their own lockbox. WTF. There is no real method for complaint, so at this point we really have no recourse other than to follow up with letters to local government. I cannot see a reason that this had to be so hard. This USPS has been the single worst aspect of living in Oceanside for me and I cannot understand why they make a choice to act this way. read more

Letter carrier person is leaving hand written non authorized notes and putting in my mail box or car windshield. Which I have tolerated but once in a blue moon I may park 3 feet from my mail box and I get a note saying not to park so close - I see all up and down my street other people parked in front of their mail box, too close to their mail box all day long and when mail is being delivered and not ONCE do I see them getting notes - this letter carrier is harassing me and singling me out. I put in multiple complaints and all I got was Voice Mails saying how it's a problem and how long my street is blah blah blah - really? Worst postal service I've ever experienced! Too many incidents to name. And they don't answer their phone so you have to walk in to complain... which does absolutely no good at all. Yesterday he could not find my unit to deliver a package. My neighbor helped him and told him exactly where I was. He reported the package delivered with a note that said left by front door. I had my husband go to this post office to see if I could deliver something there because I was having trouble getting it to his address. They said over and over yes we accept all packages from all shipping companies and that he could pick it up there. A week later when my package was out for delivery they denied the package and sent it back to its company in Colorado. When my husband just went there to see if they had his package they said "oh no we don't take packages from other shipping companies and blamed the idiot who told my husband that they would accept it." I went here to ask about a package that was signed for and stolen, but not signed by me. When I told the man about this problem he said he knew because he saw the report I filed that morning. He went on to say I don't know if you did or did not sign it. I asked him for a copy of the signature and he said, "no". I asked if I could see it and he responded with ,"you can't take a picture of it." He said that he threw the printed version away. I talked to one manger once (he has photos of cats in his area) and he was helpful and kind. This guy was a condescending asshole. Anyways, he showed me the signature and it was clearly not mine. I told him that it was not my signature and he kept suggesting it was. He said he could get me the inspectors number and then kept forgetting. Finally when he gave it to me on a ripped up piece of paper. He was rude and seemed careless. I wish I asked his name but he was a man in his late 40s/early 50s and looked Hawaiian.
