I give big props to the African American women and the white man who work in the passport center they are very knowledgeable and you can tell they can do their jobs in their sleep but because they have been doing it for a while they are very rude and don't let you speak they cut you off or speak to you like you should know about these things. I know I have not been the only person that experience this treatment, it's 90. % percent of their customers. These both individuals really need to practice on what is to provide great customer service and to be respectful and learn to listen( proper communication/ etiquette). I'm also positive that these individuals don't get consequences from either the manager or district manager because they continue to get away with their hostile behavior that creates a hostile environment for their costumers and people still have to go their because they do not have a choice. read more

I held up the package in my hand and said no I'm here to return this. She seemed rather annoyed and got a man to help me. She then mumbled something under her breath and walked away. I made an appointment with the Passport Services here. As a first time passport applicant, I was SO nervous. Not sure why, but I was having those "DMV" feelings, where you go and will likely forget something. When I got their for my 12:30 appointment I was given papers to fill out and the staff was friendly. When I completed my papers and 12:30 came the clerk was super sweet. She knew I was nervous and eased all my worries and was thorough going through the paperwork and assessing my needs. We opted to expedite the passports as our trip was just outside the 10-12 week range. While there was some assurance it would arrive in time, we didn't want to risk it. A women walked in 20 minutes late for her appointment and she was told to reschedule. My husband also was 5 minutes late for his appointment and was told to reschedule so DO NOT miss your appointment, come early and wait otherwise you'll have to come back. I normally dread these types of appointments, but I had a really great experience with both the clerks and the service. They're not a lot of passport offices in Omaha, but I do recommend this one. read more

I had a certified letter mailed from Harlan IA on September 15th. It was in Omaha on the 17th and never left there. I made many calls to the post office in Shelby ia, Avoca ia and Harlan ia trying to find this letter and when it was going to be delivered. Long story short they told me to request a refund. So some in Omaha dropped the ball. WTF read more

The staff is always friendly, they are open later than other post offices, and there is never a long line when I go.

They had terrible costumer service, the best worker there is named Manny. The website is crammed and needs to be easier to navigate. Be more clear when doing passports. Such as when your 15,16,17 you have to get a new passport and can't renew. Stop telling the staff to say "You have to make an appointment". It's very infuriating when u have to go to the post office and you tell someone that. Or when your not busy and you still say you have to make an appointment. There's not many post offices that do passports anymore. It's supposed to be easy, it's nothing busy easy. read more

Unfortunately, this is the closest full-service USPS location near my house. Every time I stop in, there's a line nearly out the door and one employee helping customers. Not to say that they're understaffed. There's no shortage of employees chatting at closed terminals or hanging out in the office - on display, for all to see, through open windows & a glass door. I'd take a trip to the DMV with malfunctioning climate control, full of screaming toddlers over this place any day. read more

I would never describe any visit to the post office as enjoyable; however, in this case I would. Jackson is an exemplary employee at the office and made my unordinary laborious transaction pleasant. I willing went back in line 3 times so I would not hold up other customers and so I could continue to work with Jackson. This branch was voted the happiness in the Midwest -and I would say the world- in my experience. I almost don't want to post this because I don't want them to become bombarded with customers but seriously I will never go to another branch in Omaha. Leaving a post office in a better mood than I had been in when I first entered is unheard of but I swear this was my experience. Keep up the good work!! My complaint is about mail delivery today 1/23/2021, Saturday. We had no mail addressed to us in our box. However, our mailbox had mail in it that was addressed to neighbors across the street whose box was on a different set of 4 mailboxes. Seems like the mail delivery was all messed up! Our mail could have gone to some else! It concerns me that stimulus checks are being mailed out! We did get our check in the mail a few days ago. Glad it was not supposed to be in our box today! read more

Third experience with this location for passport applications and renewals for our kids and us. We arrived at our scheduled time, with all the required paperwork and copies of ID as required. Including getting a photo for our teenager, we were in and out in under 10 minutes. The staff has always been efficient, knowledgeable, and made a very mundane task fun. Thanks for being so helpful! If I could give it zero stars, I would. I needed to get a Passport and I was having it expedited. I tried to call the US Passport office because if you need it ASAP you can get an appointment with them. However, I didn't have PROOF of my travel date within 2 weeks (military travel, so not definite schedule) therefore I couldn't get an appointment. They stated this was the location in Omaha to get one. I asked if I could get an appointment and was told no general Passport locations take appointments, only walk ins. So I drive down there and walk in. I was asked by some rude older lady with blonde hair if I had an appointment. I said no, that I was told I didn't need one. She said "did you call us ahead of time". I said no, that I'd spoken with the Passport office and was told they're the only place that takes appts, everywhere else is walk in. She said "it doesn't matter what they say. We're by appointment only. How do you expect us to help you and give you good information if you didn't call us". There was a man at the Passport desk helping a woman, she was just on Passport "check in" (or whatever its called). I told her I had all the forms filled out, everything was completed, I just needed to hand in the paperwork and pay the fee. I asked if there was anyone else after that lady and she said no. So I asked if I could just get it done today and she refused to let. She then said they're next appointment wasn't for another week and a half. I told her that wasn't acceptable because I needed it ASAP. She said "well if you want someone to help you now you can go to Sarpy County courthouse, they take walk ins. We can't help you here until you make the appointment". I literally turned around and walked out without saying another word. I was afraid what came out next would be extremely less than friendly. Overall, horrible customer service. read more

I dreaded having to go and get my passport renewed. Got there early, comfortable chairs for waiting. Lady was very nice, took my info. Went back out to the car and noticed the time was only 15 minutes after the time of my scheduled appointment. Sure liked being able to set the appointment up on-line. read more

This is our 2nd time going to this Post Office to get passports for traveling. Both times the weight is as expected with any government office, long. However once we were called up to take care of our documents the lady was very friendly and very nice to talk with. She was helpful and enjoyed seeing our kids in the store as well. read more

Do you have to mail something? Then don't go here. They put 80% of their employees to work on passports. The line to do anything mailing related is typically 5-10 deep. Which could mean about a 20 minute wait. And you better hope the people in front of you already have their package(s) ready. read more

Terrible service!! I had a 2:00 pm appointment (scheduled weeks before) to get a new passport for my 4-year old. At 2:10 a black, female postal worker casually walks in and asks if I have an appointment. When I say I do, she asks if it's for a renewal. I say it is since my little one already has a passport but needs a new one. When she realizes the passport is for my son, she rudely tells me that it is not considered a renewal when it's for a minor, but that we will have to apply as if it's a new passport. Fine, no problem - I had filled out the correct form as for a new passport. She then takes a look at the application and sees I have filled it out with blue ink instead of black. Instead of starting to at least process the application using all the information and documents I had brought, she tells me to step aside to complete a new application. It takes me 3 minutes to finish the new application, but in the meantime she has started someone else's passport application. After about 30 min the passport customer she squeezed in ahead of me is finally done. And by the way, while processing their application, she helped out at least a couple of passport renewals that came in without an appointment - while I stood right there with my 4-year old just waiting. So unprofessional and insulting! Well, so after the customer that was bumped ahead of me is finished, the postal worker I am waiting for starts taking customers from the retail line. Eventually, I politely (though so frustrated and upset!) tell her that I had an appointment at 2:00 pm, and that it's now 2:40 pm. She tells me that I'll have to wait until the retail line gets shorter, and that they have to take customers from there if there are more than 3 people waiting. I tell her that the line just keeps getting longer, and that it's been a line to the door pretty much since I got there. She goes to tell a manager (or someone), a middle-aged white woman with blonde hair, who tells me the same thing, in an unpleasant tone. I reiterate that I had an appointment 45 min ago, and that I don't see when or how I will be seen if they are prioritizing new customers who walk in. After a couple of minutes my son and I have to leave to pick up my Kindergartener. Once out in the parking lot, the black woman comes out and yells at me from the door that she can see me NOW, or she's going to take the next customer in line. I tell her to take the next customer. At this point I am so upset and in tears. I never want to set my foot there again and wouldn't recommend this USPS location to anyone. If the rules are what they are, at least be professional and pleasant, and treat customers with respect! read more

The employees here are very rude and unhelpful. I went here to get a passport and was unaware that I needed an appointment. There was only one gentleman in front of me in line, yet they refused to help me since I didn't have an appointment. I explained to them that I am being deployed soon with the military and really need a passport, and this is my only day in town to get one, they refused to help me. I left and went to the Sarpy County Courthouse instead where they do accept walk ins and are more than happy to help. read more

I walk in and look through the center island self service area for a Priority Mail sticker I can fill out with my To and From info. Everything else was there, but priority mail sticker. Stand in line with my small box in hand for 3-4 minutes. Finally, it's my turn. Step up to the window and asked if she had a sticker I can fill out and affix to my small box. She points me to the back wall, and says "It's over there." Over there = behind the unmanned counter. Went to the wall, got my sticker, filled it out and now I'm at the end of the line again. 4-5 minutes later it's my turn again. While I'm at the window getting my box weighed (7 oz for size reference) the guy next to me, in the window I originally went to, was standing there as the post office employee was filling out the To and From info for him, ON A PRIORITY MAIL ADDRESS STICKER!!! The same person that just sent me to the end of the line 5 minutes ago. She was filling it out for him as he held his phone in front of her with the address info on it. I'm still in disbelief. This lady needs some corrective intervention. read more

I sell on Ebay and try to never go to this outlet. staff are indifferent and often rude. It's like they all went to a school to learn how to act like stereotypical Postal bureaucrats. I was last here in November and had six small packages to mail, I told the clerk I wanted the least expensive option on all. she insisted on going through ALL the options - starting with overnight service for $22- aloud to me. I kept saying ' just the lowest please'. Then she picked up the second package and started in again. I asked if we were going t go through this six times because i had someplace to be. Have been trying to speak to someone to renew my passport for two days; the people at the desk won't talk to you unless you have an appointment, but the website to make an appointment doesn't work. Spent two hours on hold with the support department, before they told me they couldn't make the appointment. Completely dysfunctional system/office for passport processing. read more

I disagree with previous comments that staff here is rude. I go to this post office several times a week and the majority of the staff is friendly. I do agree, however, that their main focus is on Passport customers and depending on when you go, there is usually only one person taking mail and there is often a line. BUT the wait isn't usually that bad. People need to be patient. read more

I'm always going to the USPS and it was the first time going to this one. I went to this one because it was the closest one to me when I typed it in my gps, when I typed it on my gps reviews also popped up. They were all very negative saying the people here are rude. Against my better judgement I went in. When I got inside I had put my item in the wrong kind of package and then was standing in one line that had two people in front, he then said he was helping them get passports and it might be awhile so I just said I just need to pay for this package. He actually was nice and told me I could get a cheaper package then I had got. After that I went to the other side where it looked like you send and buy. I then was in line for almost 30 min while there were 2 cashiers and what looked to be a manager walking around. One of the two cashier was loud and kept saying you're such a handsome man I'll never forget you to the man she was helping and joking and taking way longer than it was supposed to be, I didn't mind at that point, but then came in 4 more people with packages and they stood in a different line. There were 4 people in mine who had been waiting for about the same amount of time. When finally the man who was being helped left and the cashier who had been helping him says to all of us in this line "YOU guys need to go to the end of the other line that's where you Mail things." The other cashier said "but they have been waiting longer" the first cashier said nothing in return. The lady in front of me said I'm not Moving I've been waiting here for forever and am not going to walk a foot just because "now" we can't use this line. And the thing the makes me the most angry is that the whole time they were helping the other customers they didn't say one word, but then when other people came in and were already standing in the other line a foot away they were telling us we had to change lines and wait another half an hour! Very rude and not business like! It was sad because at first I thought all the reviews were wrong and it was going to be a pleasant trip. read more

VERY rude and unprofessional. Shelly was extremely impolite and unhelpful on the phone. She copped an attitude from the moment the phone call started, then proceeded to hang up on me while I was still asking questions. I immediately called back and asked to speak to a manager, obviously very irritated at having been hung up on. Apparently, Shelly is a manager. She refused to acknowledge that she was the person who had hung up on me, claiming "I speak to hundreds of people a day, I don't know." (I had called back about 45 seconds later, she knew damn well it was her) and "If I'd hung up on you, I must have thought you were dead." She refused to direct me to a different manager or her supervisor, claiming she couldn't divulge that information. I put in a complaint through the USPS online about her but I have never experienced someone who was supposed to be providing customer service being SO rude and quite frankly, childish. I'm sure Shelly isn't going to make it very far in life but if I were you, I'd stay away from this location. Since they are accepting of management that doesn't know how to behave like an adult and be respectful to customers, I'm sure the regular clerks are no better. read more

Should be zero stars. This location requires an appointment to submit passport documents. We arrived early, there were no employees at the counter. 15 minutes after our appointment time, a lady showed up at the counter, rudely pointed at people who arrived after us to approach the counter (I am not even sure they had an appointment). 30 minutes after our appointment time Brent showed up at the counter, we walked to counter he ignored us, fiddled at his computer then looked at us and said SIT DOWN! He continued to act in a shocking manner, accusing us of not filling out paperwork properly, then later changing his mind. Telling us incorrect fees and charges. Brent acted like our questions were direct threats to America. What is going on at this location???? I worry because it is the only Omaha location for a passport, the employees have established an angry culture. Our experience was unnecessarily horrific. Now we will wait and see if Brent even did his job to submit our passport application, I'm worried we will never get our passports. read more
