This is my favorite post office in the Kalamazoo area. The staff are very friendly (and always…read moresmiling), the line usually goes fast, and if there is an enormous line, as there was today, someone will come out with a portable counter to help people with easy orders (package drop-off, stamps). There are several handicap spots right in front (thank you!) - the shortest walk from the handicap parking to the door of any of our local post offices. I will drive out of my way to go here, and am pleased that we have such a nice, clean, friendly post office.

ALL FOUR TIMES. the purpose of my call was to find out where my mail was. I paid $600 to have PO collect my mail and send it priority each Wednesday delivered to me in Ft. Myers on Saturday. Today I will just DRIVE to the local post office and try to figure out why some box is postage due when I paid shipping already. Can't just CALL AND ASK THEM. OH NO. I met the mail lady and she said she would have someone call ME. That was Friday. This is Monday. No call. Another government agency at work for we the people. Aside from that one thing the mail delivery people have been great, and usually the staff IN the post office are great. Wish I could give that portion a 5 star and just rate lack of communication as dismal.

When I got in there was a small growing line but I was so impressed by the representative making eye contact and speaking to each customer and yet not Taking away from the customer she was helping!!! I can't say I've ever seen customer service on this level. She also was in great spirits and high energy, not annoying high energy but warm...like an aunt. She was able to help me with my FedEx shipment. It doesn't work how it would at a FedEx office ship & print, though I was still able to use my account. I'm not sure if I'll ever be in this town again but I just had to take a moment and shout out Heather! She is a rockstar and I hope she receives the appreciation she deserves. Thanks much!

But a coworker of mine needed some supplies in a hurry, and since the box was going to be fairly large and contain some fragile items, I figured UPS would be a better bet. There was a substantial line out the door when I arrived, but it probably only took 15 minutes for me to get up to the counter since they were very well staffed. While I was in line, I noticed that they really offer quite a lot of services I wasn't aware of, including document shredding and printing of posters and mailers. They even have greeting cards. They were also fundraising for Toys for Tots at the counter, and accepting donations for the cause, and I'm always a sucker for a business that supports good causes!

We were in the store today, Saturday 8/11/23, about 15 min before 3pm preparing our packages for return/and shipment. We were told the following excuses: "we have to clock out", "this is a busy location and "we can do a couple of your returns only, because "we have 4 hours of work in the back" "this is a franchise locally owned and we have to clock out at 3pm" the two reps Ignoring the fact that customers were in the store trying to check out, that needed taking care of completely, not just a couple of the packages. I felt rushed and like I didn't matter. I also noticed rudeness towards another customer completing a transaction right before us. Unacceptable. We left ASAP as we will never do business with a company that treats their customers this way. It wasn't even busy! Unbelievable. I'd recommend driving to a different location and avoid this one. Customer service is not their top priority.
