Whenever I have to pick up a package I'll usually come on a Saturday due to my work schedule. There is ALWAYS a long line and service can often be slow. +1 star for having a kiosk that I can create postage stamps for my packages during hours the post office is not open. read more

I've been here many times to ship packages and generally have speedy service. My wait is usually less than 5 minutes as I try to aim for the off-hours (between 9AM and 11AM and again at 1PM to 3PM). The staff is really a mixed bag of friendly and not-so-friendly people so expect anything while dealing with the clerks. I travel with a service dog and have been asked to leave as they 'don't allow big dogs' but the matter has been cleared up. I don't have a postal box here but from what I've seen of that section, it's in desperate need of repairs. Many of the counters are falling apart and a few different times the self-service shipping machine has been out of labels. read more

SO RUDE! So, I got home and was left a note that I had to pick up my mail at the post office. I am not expecting anything that requires a signature, so I take the slip in to get help. There was no information on the slip, just my name and address. The lady "helping" was dismissive and rude and said to come back another day. I am usually very polite and patient, and I expect the same courtesy. Won't be coming back here if I can help it. I will stick with UPS. Maybe this is why USPS is losing money. read more

Possibly the worst customer service I have ever received at a post office. Walked in this afternoon and was rudely greater by Roberta the supervisor with a snide comment, "why are you looking at me that way". I informed her I was instructed to speak to her by another employee regarding a package I was hoping to receive. I inform her of my situation and she once again has a rude comment in regards to as to why I had my package returned. Her professional answer was, "why would I know the reason your package was undeliverable?" Regardless to say, I was able to speak with the USPS over the phone and get the reason why. For a "supervisor" to have such terrible customer service skills and not to mention attitude, it's unfortunate that it more than likely rubs off on her associates. read more

I haven't had much interaction with the post office but I had to recently and it has been poor. Unfortunately the boxes in our neighborhood have been broken into 3 times in the last month or so. We have had several important items stolen. The post office has repaired it each time by putting a screw into the box which hasn't done much to thwart the thieves in Placentia. 1. I spoke with the postmaster who promised me he would call me back with the status of the repair. This was two weeks ago. He never called. 2. I asked them to hold our mail as we were were going to be gone. He said he would. I sent my son to get two weeks of mail. They told him they didn't have mail. 3. I called the post office and spoke with the Postmaster. He couldn't understand why his people couldn't find the mail as there was plenty there. He told me he would hold our mail as he understood our concerns. 4. He stated he didn't call me back as he had nothing to report. Who knew that each post office location is run like their own corporation. A corporation that can't find out if the box will be replaced or fixed. Can't even ask someone what if anything will happen. 5. Today I went to the post office to pick up my mail. No mail. Went over conversation that happened earlier this week. Sorry no mail. But you promised to hold it! 6. Please let me just speak to the Postmaster. In steps Keonie or something like that who is "the supervisor". Said he listened to my story twice and rolled his eyes at me. Told me the Postmaster was on an important call and couldn't speak with me. 7 I explained to Mr. Keonie that he must not have heard the whole conversation as the Postmaster promised to hold the mail. 8. He rolled his eyes and told me that he couldn't do anything. I let him know that I thought he was being " a less than kind word". He called me to the side and started threatening to have me arrested as the post office was his and federal property. 9. Cute! Because they won't provide customer service, and apparently don't have to, they can and will call the police. 10. I think that we have great service from our carrier and in fact, the Postmaster seemed like he was sincere but no customer service. 11. Mr. Keonie had no desire to provide any help. I was however in his world so don't have much choice. Guess we have no choice on using USPS but this is ridiculous. 12. This post offices home delivery service is improving. The site service is what it is and I have not seen the Grumpy Clerk for a while now. She seemed to hate her job and all the Customers. Until the Postmaster Wanda, left I received the worst service ever. My mortgage and credit card statements were constantly being delivered all over town. When I would eventually get the statements a lot of the times they had "Delivered to the Wrong Address" written on them. A few times they had even been opened. I complained to Wanda, who seemed very disinterested in hearing any complaints. I actually drove around my neighborhood talking to folks who said their service was horrible to and one even proceeded to call "Wanda" racial names. I told him he was out of line calling her the names but I agreed with his assessment of her and her staffs Customer Service. read more

Worst post office ever... They neglected to tell me anything. I finally get the to front and than the lady starts helping me... Tells me i have to purchase tape to close my box... I ask for her help and after I purchase it and she can't do it with my tape, she says that she will just do it with hers... Hello, you couldnt do that before I spent 4 bucks on tape? Seriously? And then the lady goes back to talk to her boss about something else for 15 minutes while I am standing there waiting and she doesn't even tell me what's going on. Worst post office ever. read more

I used to be a regular customer until Jan. 5th (Monday) I've had some important paperwork to send overseas and I've asked the fastest delivery + tracking number + certified mail. The lady said it would take 2-3 business days and I've paid around $45. 4 days later, the mail departed from Atlanta to the final destination. I went to complain on Jan. 12th, saying that the lady said 2-3 business days and 1 week later, it has not arrived the final destination. The manager said nothing but "I was not there at the moment so I cannot speak for herself". He said the lady forgot to fill something that could make the delivery faster plus the tracking mail is domestic one...not international. He refused to admit she made a mistake though....Whaaaaat?? The next day, he left a voicemail saying that the lady who took my mail said to me "5-10 business days" and I accepted it. Oh come on..... Until the end, he never apologized for what happened. Is it that hard to say "I apologize"? Sorry, not coming back to this branch. The lady's initials are ME so be extremely careful. read more

I go to this post office every morning. I sell stuff on line and I always use priority mail padded envelopes. When I run out I go and ask for 1 or 2 until I receive mine in the mail. There is an employer named Melissa that always refuse to provide me with an envelope. Today is the third time that I asked for an envelope and she simply said: "We don't have them." I told her to please ask the employer if he have one and she refused it. I told her that how is that every time that you refused to provide an envelope I go immediately on line again and other employee happily handed to me. She answered by saying: "Let me help the other customer." Melissa is very rude and unhelpful. She has a negative attitude. If she doesn't want to do her job properly, provide information and help customers with a curtious attitude she needs to retire and leave her spot to a person who is willing to help, inform and provide a great customer experience. Sorry Melissa but it's time for you to retire and let a the right person fill your spot. read more

Ivette is consistently smiling and super helpful at this location. She makes this place shine, and I appreciate her positive spirit! The building itself is not fabulous, and the parking lot offers inconvenient entrance and exit. Be warned....DO NOT, I repeat do not mail any pre-addressed envelopes outside or inside of this post office! I recently, Feb 2017 mailed my property taxes (2 separate pre-addressed envelopes) at the counter inside this post office and they never arrived at the Tax Collection office, someone took both envelopes containing over $3500 and washed my checks and deposited them into their account!! The Placentia police say they get reports of this weekly at this location, even more often during property tax and income tax times. They do not believe the one washing and depositing the checks is employed by the PO, but obviously the one confiscating and passing on the envelopes and reaping in the rewards IS!! Due to these circumstances, fortunately I was able to have the late penalties reversed by the County Tax Collector. read more

Rude is not the word. I have been coming to this post office for 20'years and today was the last straw. I have had reasonably good experiences in the last unlike many reviewers however today I took a verbal bashing from the "supervisor" all because I wanted to buy tape for my package. Other customers in line actually apologized to me out loud in the office but still she did not hear or care. Obviously, if she is in charge, there is no one to complain to and no use expecting better service in the future. People aren't leaving the post office just because of technology, packages still Hoyt's be mailed. People are leaving because they can get the same service elsewhere. I used to live in Santa Ana and would purposely drive to Placentia because of the pleasant atmosphere of the post office. They have a number system and benches so you can sit while waiting. The people at the counter work hard and as quickly as possible. This is so different from Santa Ana where they disappear into the backroom and rarely come back out! If I could give this place zero stars I would. It's incredibly unfortunate that I can't get good service at a place I am forced to go, if I had a choice I wouldn't come back because of one particular employee who is always rude. Her name is Melissa and she is one of the two people who are only certified to process passport applications. So when the other woman was on lunch I had no choice but to be helped by the same rude lady who always seems to have a chip on her shoulder. I came back when I had to make a correction on my money order and she rudely told me to wait for the other lady because she decided to throw an attitude when she couldn't understand where we left off. Regardless of the issue, it should not be appropriate for her to have an attitude at all. I was extremely nice when explaining where we were at and she tossed some paperwork at me saying this isn't the right paperwork. The right paperwork was right underneath the extra info I provided, which I did on purpose in case the information I brought was not enough. She then proceeded to tell me to wait for the other woman if I like her attitude better.. Are you kidding me. I also deliver mail here about four times a week and she always has the same demeanor and attitude. Then her supervisor says she doesn't want to come back to help me when she caused the whole fiasco in the first place. I told her I'm not going to wait for someone else to come back from their lunch to be helped when she was extremely rude and brass towards me when all I needed was my application processed. I will also be calling corporate. I work in customer service and that was extremely uncalled for. I can not believe the supervisor allows her to act incredibly rude with no consequences. If this is how all of the postal services run their stores I understand why there are so many bad reviews about how rude people are in this business. She's been rude more than once and I've never said anything, until now. This was the last straw for me. That kind of behavior should not be ok in any work environment or business. read more

This place is rather inconsistent with its customer service. They have some great employees that are nice and helpful. Then there are a few that are not consistent with their service. Its scary having to pay for postage because it always changes which I understand is due to the weight of the package however I question why they need to ship a letter as classified. They likely are charging me some hidden fee and I would never know since the charges always change. Additionally, there is one woman there that refuses to stamp date the package or provide you with a receipt. She always states you can look online for the tracking however how can I look for tracking when someone else provided the label? I will get her name next time and share since she really is the weakest link at this post office. This post office tends to get crowded at pea times such as lunch, after work, etc. They do a fairly good job of getting the line moving and I am sure are as good as other post offices. In the long run when it comes down to it, the government needs to invest more in providing money for the post office to do its work i.e. hire more employees. read more
