Came here to do a money order. There was an issue happening with their card reader and instead of figuring out the error, the clerk insisted (loudly and in front of everyone) that it was because I didn't have enough money, which was completely untrue and I went elsewhere to successfully complete the transaction. Interesting building! I've visited this location many times for package drop-offs. They have a small parking lot where you can only enter in going north on Kraemer. Staff have always been very helpful and nice. I've sent tons of items through this location and never had an issue with my packages not making it to their destination. There's an easy drop-off bin right by the front door when you walk in. Overall, a solid post office. read more

I'm so glad I found this post office. It's the closest one to me and is not locked up on the weekends. I haven't been during the day because I work, so I need to be able to drop packages off after-hours. That means I haven't interacted with any of the employees, but parking is good, and they have a good-sized drop box, which is what I need. The only issue is, probably because they are one of the few post office lobbies open after hours, the drop box is usually pretty full, and it is sometimes hard for your package to fall into the bin. It's also extremely loud! Luckily, I've been able to make it fit though. Otherwise, it's clean, easy parking, and serves the purpose I need it to. read more

Waiting in line at the USPS is the great equalizer- no amount of VIP status, social media followers, clout, title, or beauty will get you special service. You wait patiently trying to control your emotions as 15 people ahead of you pay for stamps with checks, try to make small talk with employees, and/or make passport renewals for the entire family. Time stands still here, like a gossamer wall of intangible otherness. Soliloquy aside- I like this USPS and have had mostly positive experiences here. It runs on the small side, so lines can get long. They have a self-serve kiosk which you can use for QR coded tasks. Staff encounters have actually been pretty good here. Most notably, I've had a couple USPS parcels temporarily lost and/or misplaced upon delivery to my home. Having filed a notice through the website- I've gotten follow-up phone calls from this office both times. Both were resolved in time and to be honest, I appreciated the personal touch. read more

Usually don't have a ton of issues with this branch of USPS, though there has been a few hiccups where packages got delayed/lost and I requested to be called back, and all I got was "We don't see it scanned here, so you're on your own". If I don't know where it is and you don't know anything, then where do we go from there? There is also someone who works the counters, I believe her name is Melissa? She's been there for years, even since I was a tiny kid going to this post office with older family members. She's quite rude, to be quite honest, and seems to be the only one people, including myself, have had issues with. There's been a few times where the self-serve kiosk was down, so I went in line to ask for packages to be scanned for a receipt, and she straight up told me she wouldn't do it. So unhelpful and so rude. Any other employee there have happily scanned my packages without any rude commentary, rude smirks, and degrading looks. Now, I just use the kiosk if I see her working or I wait for a different staff member because she is unpleasant to deal with. read more

I rarely use this post office. Wow lots of work to pack, and declare items. BUT boy did I save some money! Be patient when you come. The representative Melissa was beyond helpful. I can't thank the two ladies that were customers enough. They literary helped me pack and remove big box into small USPS box because Melissa shared it would cost less,,and arrive sooner. I want to say that the Placentia post office was more than awesome, they went above and beyond. Especially Justin. I had a package that was delivered past the deadline, so I wasn't going to be able to get it until the next day, and I was leaving early the next morning. I needed the package for my trip. I spoke to a couple of guys, one being Justin. He gave me his phone # and I gave him mine. I called him two hours after the PO closed. He answered and said they hadn't located it, and asked me to give him some time. Two hours later, he called E to let me know he had located my package, and I could go and get it. I was so impressed. Not a lot of people go above and beyond like that. Placentia post office on Kraemer saved the day. I am so appreciative. read more

This USPS is one of the closer ones to me, and on a major street for easier access. That being said, there's only one entrance in, and one entrance out, and you can only really access it if you're going north on Kraemer. Parking is a little small, but people seem to at least do their tasks fairly quickly that you shouldn't need to wait too long for a parking space if there are somehow none available. Christmas holidays are a nightmare, and I tend to hit a Postal Annex, instead during that part of the year. Service is okay. I've never really had any issues, and I've been able to purchase postage/stamps, collect mail, and do my business without any drama. Prices will be a little bit cheaper at USPS versus a Postal Annex, so that's a boon. You just may need to wait in line for awhile, depending on the time of day you're visiting. read more

Stephanie O'choa refused to assist me. I asked for the manager and she hid in the back while all the employees were talking and laughing in the back. I wanted further assistance and she would not come up. This place is a joke and they need a new manager! I waited for 30 minutes and there were no other customers. She was lazy and the employees did not care to help me as much as she did. I had a small request nothing complicated and it is sad this is how they represent themselves. read more

This post office is absolutely the freaking worst. Bunch of morons. I had put a hold on my mail because I had to vacate my residence and didn't know where I was going. I put in a one month hold. In two weeks I went to pick up what was held. They didn't tell me they were going to start delivering again. There is no way I can go back to my old residence because it is unsafe to do so. Then they stupidly send me a e-mail notice that my hold was about to expire on the date it should have been held to. Secondly, I did a change of address. In the TWO months since, I've only had ONE freakin' piece of e-mail forwarded and that was only because someone wrote "wrong address" on it. Someone from the location even called to assure me things would be forwarded. I stressed to her the importance that I cannot go back to my former residence to get anything. It's still not rectified. I also forgot to mention that I sent out my tax payment checks, not certified unfortunately, thinking everything would be okay. NOPE. Someone stole the checks and proceed to open fake department store accounts with my information. Stupid, inept, incompetent, moronic, don't even begin to describe how upsetting this location is. I'm sure to have lost some checks and they have made my life even more difficult in a difficult time. I HATE this place. read more

Im not sure, how we are suppose be helped on time w the passport services if they only have one person working on the passports and try and blame us as the we are the ones that are late & take more than 30 min with one customer as we wait to get helped for the next person with the application. The manager couldnt even have a sense of customer service and be understandable they just tryin and kick u out the door w no remorse. I dislike going to the post office in general, and this location is no exception. It is usually always busy and the wait time can be up to 45 minutes. Longer during peak seasons (Christmas, Tax time) and the parking lot is in no way easy to get into. Once in the lot, you gotta be on your toes. It's a narrow, one-way lot with cars parked and backing out from both sides. The staff runs hot and cold. A couple of the counter clerks are decent and somewhat friendly. A couple others are just plain rude and there are a couple others that are dumb as a box of rocks and you can completely understand why they are doing the job they are. Meh. I've experienced better. But not at a post office. I really don't know what it is about official post offices, (or really most places that mails stuff) but customer service is basically non existent. So, if you have all your ducks in a row before you step foot in that building, you're set. If not, don't expect much help. When I asked to borrow a pair of scissors and some tape for my package, the worker looked at me like i had just insulted her mother. Whatever. Placentia....such a beautiful pleasant place to live. Nice Grocery stores, quaint little restaurants, friendly people all around, except for one individual at this post office. There is an Asian woman middle aged with glasses, that works at the counter who is just so mean, so sad to be her . The way she delivers her words, explains how paperwork should be written out, and when you try to communicate with her, she puts her hand out INTO your face and tells you to stop ...WOW! Why does she work there? The biggest question of all...There is one regret I have....that is WHY did I not grab my pkgs and go to another location ? One bad experience is enough for me, I will be going elsewhere, those of you who read this , I advise you to be aware!!! Placentia is way to beautiful to have ugly people like her. When coming to this post office make sure you have everything filled out proper on your packaging. I came in today 8/3/20 to mail back a phone from eBay. I hardly do returns and on mistake grabbed the wrong bubbler. Also had to buy tape since they didn't offer any or scissors to trim down my return slip. Luckily I have a pair or small scissors on my multi tool no issues their. I just didn't appreciate the snarky answer from the lady behind the counter. Even said I didn't know which bubbler I needed. After finding the proper one I was able to go to a different person to pay for the tape I needed to repackage the phone box and tape down the return address. Only ended up paying 3.99 for the tape. Next time I'll just buy my supplies else where and drop off on the parcel drop off. Save me a headache with rude attitude. read more

I experienced such great customer service at the Placentia post office and that is refreshing, especially for a post office branch. Nico, the manager, is beyond gracious and friendly and she went the extra mile to be sure my issue was resolved. I'm so appreciative. I've never had any other postal employee (other than my neighborhood postman/postwoman) be so helpful. The other staff are always great on my regular mail visits too! Can we just talk about Bach Mai. Homegirl is super rude to everyone. ALL THE TIME. Like if she could possibly care less about being there she'd be All over that. I absolutely hate being helped by her. It's almost like you're offending her by coming in or asking her a question. Even when's she's walking back to get your package or mail she walks as slow and as annoyed as she can. Bach Mai, why can't you be more like Ivette??! Terrible experience for the last 6 months. It's hit or miss with customer service, but today was the last time for me. I'd rather drive a little farther so that I don't have to deal with stress. When I first moved into the area, I dropped off packages just fine and then I had an issue with an international package because I was told that the regulations had changed. Fine, done. I gave up on mailing to that international country. BUT wait...I've been doing this for 5 years, did something really change? I researched. No, nothing has changed! So, I sent another package to that country and guess what? IT WENT THROUGH!!! Today was another issue. Apparently, my zip code or the zip code I had been using differs from theirs. They are literally 5 minutes down the street. I had no idea that if I brought a package with another zip code, that they wouldn't get paid for all the hardwork they do. First, the lady over the counter talked to me like an idiot and a child and then proceeded to say: "Look! I have a long line forming and I have to do your packages and I'm not getting paid for this." Really? I been here over 20times, I dropped off the mail usually for ebay and never had problems from buyers not received the items. And I know there is a wait usually between 10-25mins, but I don't blame them because the postoffice is way under budget. She kept rushing me and I literally had only 4 more numbers to write on the front of an envelope and she was yelling at me to pay with my card before I write. I paid for it first and while writing the 4 numbers, she yelled at me to move to the side and finish up so she could help the next person. All I had to do was write 4 numbers and hand it to her and she couldn't even wait an extra 2 seconds without yelling. Geez. Stop rushing people. I've had nothing but terrible experiences here. The clerks are okay and and try to help, but it seems like they never know anything that's going on. The delivery person(s) for my address have not been delivering packages to my door, have failed to redeliver and I've been having to go directly to the post office to pick everything up. They've been leaving packages in the wrong areas in the facility so it's hard for the clerks to find them. I'm getting extremely frustrated every time I have to order something online. They've marked my most recent package as "delivered" as of 3 days ago, but I've still not received it. Upon calling the post office, they said they have it there. Really people? read more
