I visited this UPS store today to have my driver's license and SSAN sent into the government for…read moreverification. This is the second visit to this UPS and one of the photo IDs did not take and I was informed to return to resubmit. There was only one person working and people lined out the front door plus a sign on the machine that it was out of order. I tried to ask a question if there was another UPS close by that could take care of me. The employee was so rude, and she snapped no, can't you read the sign it is out of order. She was rude to almost all she assisted while we were waiting. UPS does not need someone like this working for them, and this store appears to have employees like this all over. I don't recommend this UPS for any type of service a person may need. Now because she was alone was maybe the reason for the frustration and if that is so the manager should make sure there are enough employees to take care of customers.

My sisters and I went to FL to move my dad from his house to an assisted living facility. It was an…read moreawful job- mentally and physically difficult. The very bright spot of our week was The UPS Store. Dad had crystal glassware and sterling silver tea sets from his mother and grandmother. We wanted to keep it all in the family so we shipped it to our homes. Bill, the owner/manager said that he'd insure our cartons but only if he packed the items to ensure it would be delivered without damage. I thought it was a scam but then realized that our own packing job was completely inadequate. Bill carefully packed each item into a carton, then placed that carton inside a second carton that was lined with bubble wrap. We had a total of 7 cartons and Bill spent more than an hour on us. Apparently he had each of his employees professionally trained to properly pack fragile items. If items are delivered damaged, his store pays the insured value. UPS shipping isn't cheap, then adding the cost of their packing it for you adds up in a big hurry. But these are heirlooms. Insurance or not, they needed to be delivered without damage. We received our cartons of crystal, glass, silver, ceramics in perfect condition so far. Florida to NC and CT. The cartons to NM are expected to be delivered tomorrow. It wasn't cheap but Bill delivered as promised and we felt it was worth the cost. We learned that they do shredding too. So we went back with a pile of Dad's old files that needed to be destroyed. There isn't any real designated parking--you basically pull up in front like a "drive-thru," hop out, and run in. One funny thing: every time I walk in, they say, "Thank you for using the Kiosk," whether I actually used it or not. It's become kind of a running joke in my mind at this point. That said, the staff is consistently helpful and genuinely nice. Whether I bring in an Amazon return or something completely unrelated, the guys working there always take care of it quickly and without any hassle. They're efficient, friendly, and make the whole process easy.
