Typical post office experience. They had the stamps I needed and I was in and out quickly.

I thought my former Fort Lauderdale post office was bad when it came to mail mis-delivery issues, but this one may take the cake. The line out the door was HORRIBLE, the parking lot was tiny and awful to navigate. My husband and I both have the free USPS service "Informed Delivery Daily Digest," which sends e-mails to you with pictures of the mail that is coming each day. Therefore, we know when mail is missing. Last week a refund check that was coming to my husband, that we got a scan of, went missing. Today I was missing a COBRA info mailing from my husband's former employer and another bill. I waited in line for 15 minutes only to deal with the most condescending, rude and unhelpful man. He was not one of the clerks, it was a taller African American man who looked to be some kind of manager. He told me there is no guarantee on pieces of mail being delivered and seemed like he could give two craps about my issues. How about some faked empathy? Why so rude and combative?? I guess it's MY problem that USPS is losing my mail and not his. I told him about my issues and he completely brushed me off. I have already written to my former congressperson in FL about my mail not being properly forwarded, but I guess I'll be writing to one here too and filing complaints online about the mail here. read more

My new mail carrier from this location is a liar. My tracking shows the package was delivered at the mailbox. I call customer service and they contact the courier. She goes back to check and says it wasn't put in the wrong mailbox, and that it's stolen. This is a flat out lie, because our mailboxes are individually locked. So she either locked the package in someone else's mailbox and they kept it, or she lost the package and lied to cover herself. USPS won't give me a refund because it was sent first class, so now I'm out $46 thanks to their mistake they won't own up to. First issue through countless packages, but highly dissapointed in their integrity. read more

Every time i order smaller packages that can't be delivered to my door they always deliver them to the cluster box & ALWAYS misplace my packages. They never misplace my mail but always my packages. I have to send in a missing item request every time & wait some days for a response. They should consider slowing down when delivering packages so they can avoid mess up's. It's not that hard to match the address to the mailbox. This is huge inconvenience especially when I order important items for work or liquids that are sensitive to temperature. Do better!!! read more

I came in with a few different size items, not sure if it would all fit into a large priority box. It did not, and one of the gentleman there went out of his way to help find a box in the back (and box and tape it). I didn't catch his name, but he was very nice and even gave me some chocolate for my kiddos and I on the way out. Terry (saw his name tag) was also very friendly and helped me ring everything up. I was a great experience and those guys have kept the cheer despite what I'm sure have been some hectic holiday weeks! read more

The phone is always busy and the automated service is not good either. A friend of mine sent me a package from abroad and they only made a single attempt of delivering it to me. I scheduled an alternate date for the delivery using their webpage but I never got it. When I finally went there to inquire in person regarding the whereabouts of the package and why they did not make another attempt, they just gave me a blatant "I don't know" response. Why in the world does USPS have to suck so bad ?!!! Can't even get our freaking mail as we should !!! It's so kind of them to provide INFORMED MAIL DELIVERY though , so we can see the mail FRAUD going on within the USPS. Election year and it appears that select items tend to not make it to our box. Still waiting on expected mail from Wake County Board Of Elections that informed mail delivery showed to be delivered 4 days ago !!!! And people think that they can trust " Mail in Ballots " ! i recently went to send some mail and wondered whether to go with the "pick up time" on the outside box (2:30 PM next day) or the time on the inside slot (5pm next day) - fortunately I saw a worker through an open PO box, and she cheerfully took my mail for earliest next day pick-up! read more

I visited this post office around 4:45 and typically feel bad coming to places close to their closing time. I had the most pleasant experience I have ever had at a post office. I walked in and was immediately greeted and offered advice on the best shipping option for my items. Everyone in the store was helpful and delightful to talk to. Even the other customers in the store were extremely friendly and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this location. read more

In the past, we were not at all happy with this Centre. But my recent experience was such a contrast, mostly because of the efficiency and courtesy of the staff. They were very pleasant and helpful. I was approached while I was waiting for my turn and the gentleman guided me well about my options. I hope this service quality is maintained. read more

I have never in my life been more offended then I have been at this United StAtes Post Office I need a post office box And the rep Terry Jordan at the counter is the most horrible person I have ever met He is rude mean and flat out unprofessional I'm an out of state travel nurse from Texas The requirements on the paperwork say Valid Photo ID and second ID (auto insurance acceptable) First he tells me my drivers license is expired and it clear is printed on my Texas DL that it does not expire until 3/08/2025 Then he follows up with my address No where on this form does it say that yOu have to have a local address He proceeded to argue with me I have obtained post office boxes in everY location I have ever contracted in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Louisiana and Oklahoma Every time my Texas Address is the one I put on the form Next he continues to argue with over my auto insurance on my phone I will never come back here To make it worse the manager on duty would not come speak with me read more

I went there to mail a package the other day. You know, the purpose of the post office. And what was the one thing I failed at doing? Mail a package. Because it is no longer 1994, meaning that I don't carry checks or much cash, I went there to pay with a credit card. The same credit card that is accepted in pretty much every place out there. And the system was down. DOWN. At a very busy time. One person was apologetic. The second person I dealt with was a complete dick and told me to come back eventually. So, I went to UPS and told all my friends the fun story of why the USPS is bleeding money. read more

I live in southeast Raleigh and this is the closest USPS to me. The customer service here is good most of the time. I've never ran into any problems. The parking lot is a bit small so you may not want to go during lunch. The lines can get really long during that time. Most of the time, it's because people aren't prepare to send their packages. Overall, this USPS gets the job done. read more

Apparently I live exactly 2.3 miles away from two post offices. I've always gone to the one on Wrenn Dr in Cary as it's closer to Trader Joe's and I'll stop by while I'm out. Well, today I just needed to drop off pre-labeled packages and figured I'll stop by this post office on Lake Dam Rd as it's an easier drive (less stoplights). I assumed it'd be less busy at this post office since there's not much around it, but I was wrong. Well, to be more accurate, it was less busy, but the employees were slower. Not to mention, I HAD to stand in line because they didn't have any package drop off boxes. There's also no APC (Automatic Postal Center) machines. The interior was nice and more updated than other post offices I've seen, but there's not much here. I'd rather go to the Post office on Wrenn Dr. from now on. read more

My USPS lady delivery lady is the BEST!! She is so thoughtful and nice. I trust her. The Post Office I don't much care for. I wish my mail would come from Garner or Willow Springs office as it would be less hectic. read more

I live in the 27603 zip code so my mail comes out of this office. Twice in the last 2 weeks we had small packages forced into the mail box, both of which were able to be shoved in only half way. We had this same problem previously and tried to talk with the postmaster on Dam Road but he/she was either not available or usable to return our calls. The person on my route needs to read the "motto" of the USPS. I did and it talks about secure delivery. Sorry, Charlie!! If anyone at the post office reads this, they can call me at 919-571-3256. One of the worst for home delivery. Just watched driver skip over my box and my neighbor when I have a confirmation stating my item is out for delivery and will arrive today.... Obviously not! Yeah yesterday was a holiday and mail may be heavy today so not unusual for drivers to skip over some stops. This is called INCOMPETENCE and some one does not deserve to have this job. Had I known my mail service would suck this bad I would not have moved here. For 3 years I have been battling with them about delivering mail. Yesterday, I was waiting on the delivery of a box spring ordered from amazon. I received a notification that mail was un-deliverable at 4:50 pm. Both my husband and I were home, never saw the USPS truck to deliver mail. I tried to call the location this am and immediately it says the mailbox for this number is full, please try again. I have tried to file complaints but no one is interested. IF this is going to be your home base for postal service don't move to the area. 1 star is far too generous than what they deserve. read more

No automated postal machine, and the parking lot is chronically undersized from the day it was built. Good luck getting a spot. Always a long line inside whenever I've gone which is as little as possible if I can help it. I really dread having to go to this Post Office. This was built to replace the chronically undersized Post Office on Gorman/Athens St. They could easily fit another employee at the counter with some minor remodeling. read more

Small and usually crowded. However, everyone here has always been extremely friendly (which I almost never experience at the USPS).

A package was scanned as delivered but my apartment complex had no record of it arriving. After a week I figured there had been enough time for any accidents to get sorted out. I tried call the customer service line but was put on hold for 30 mins or more at least 5 times, multiple of which the line disconnected I was on hold for so long. None of the local branches picked up their phones. After 2 WEEKS I went into the post office. They claim the package was delivered but somehow got back on the truck and was sent to another city...with no scan at the local location and none at the location they told me. I asked for a number I could call there, they said it was pointless, it was just one package and that nothing could be done. They have no idea when it could be sent out, and for that matter where it would be delivered to! Another man in the office at the same time had a very similar problem. It's no wonder the USPS is going down hill. Packages are not getting delivered and the customer service, if you can call a recording and hold tone customer service that is, is DESPICABLE. Thank goodness Amazon at least has some idea how to handle an issue. read more
