The Red Bank NJ Post Office is a hot mess and absolutely terrible. I've had constant issues with them scanning packages as being "out for delivery" but later the same day my package tracking number updates as now be "available for pick up" at the Red Bank Post Office." I put in for mail forwarding on January 8 2024 and still had not received any mail through March. I had to go to post office twice and still had problems I actually sent a letter to myself at old address to see if it would forward to new address it's June and still haven't got it. Something wrong either with the people who work there I don't think they care as it's a government job and they are never held accountable and can't be fired read more

I've always thought it was a shame Red Bank did not keep its post office in its original location which now houses Tiffany & Co. That building is gorgeous and has a lot of character. Unfortunately the post office moved from that building ages ago into the its current location which is a pretty nondescript one story elongated building. Absolutely nothing special happening here. Its really a shame because a town like Red Bank deserves a classic US Post Office. Anyway, I like the Red Bank Post Office because it is open late. Although I typically use the post office in Little Silver, I am able to stay calm if I'm still working on a must mail item during the 5 pm hour because I know Red Bank's post office will remain open until 6 pm. As long as I get the mail into the box by 6 pm, I know it will go out that evening. Pretty nice service if you ask me. I haven't experienced the "bad attitudes" which Robert M. has cited in his review. People are always nice to me in Red Bank. Can't say I have any complaints. read more

Worse customer service ever. I was shipping some military related boxes. These things were important and had to be handed off to someone. I couldn't just leave them sitting somewhere. I asked the lady (darker lady with short blonde hair) where can I put these to ensure someone grab them. She immediately got an attitude. Finally after 5 minutes of waiting she came over grabbed the boxes and through them into a container. Upon leaving I said her "have a great day" and she didn't even say anything back. read more

No idea why this is worthy of a review aside from the fact that I've been here more than any local restaurant. You can typically expect a 10 minute wait for service and shortage on employees but everyone is nice and accommodating. I've been a PO Box member for 6+ years now with no issues on delivery or pickup. You may be better off at the Little Silver office just up the road if you need to quickly hit the counter to do a mail out but if you're already in town, the RB post office always does the trick. read more

We recently moved to the area and have had so many issues with this post office. Since we are new residents, they have been trying to bully us into getting a curbside mailbox by refusing to deliver us mail. All of our neighbors have mailboxes attached to their houses so this is ridiculous. They have no customer service and the post master can never be found. read more

It's a crap shoot in here with attitudes. Sometimes really friendly and helpful, sometimes not. They open late and close pretty early, which is really inconvenient for anyone who actually has a job. I have never had as many problems anywhere as I have with this place. I have had a package melt on me (the dvd's were placed on a heater and warped), and the postman at times do not knock or ring the bell. They put the yellow slip in the post box and run away. Just last Friday I was angry this happened and demanded to the supervisor they re-deliver that day or next. Well sure enough, it's Sunday and no delivery. They are worthless scumbags. If a policeman falsifies his daily activity log, he could face indictment. If the USPS falsifies their package tracking to say "left notice" when nobody ever showed up (and of course there was no notice), they shrug. Sometimes things go sideways and an expected delivery can't be made. I get it. The tracking records should state just that. But when you assert that a delivery was attempted when that was not the case, that's just wrong. I don't care level : savage. read more

I've dropped off several pieces of mail here that did not make it to it's destination til several weeks later. I've experienced other post offices that have delivered my mail the very next day. They must not clear out their boxes at the scheduled times that is advertised. Also had several pieces of mail marked with "Return to Sender" and crossed out the recipients address, apparently they didn't return it to the sender but kept delivering it to me at least 3 times, for several pieces of mail. I even handed it to a personnel at the window. Specifically told her that it was supposed to be returned to sender and she said that it's best to hand it back to a person to make sure it gets returned.... well that was a lie because I received it again the next day. read more
