It's sad to see that every time I review this post office, it's a zero star, but you have to put something so it gets one star. I don't know how they survive. Our regular male carrier is wonderful. She is so careful with the mail and checks and make sure we don't have any outgoing. She is great. But every single time she leaves to go on vacation or takes a day off whoever substitutes for her is the worst. Yesterday, the mail carrier hands me the mail in my hand because we were sitting outside. I am sitting with my friend who lives two houses down and I have her mail in my hand. So I give her her mail and I tried to catch up with the male carrier who is already a few houses down, but he can't hear me because he has earphones on. When I finally catch up to him to let him know that he gave me the wrong mail, and where is my mail, he just looks at me" oh yeah, one house didn't have mail today so I just got turned around." that's his response. Not oh sorry let me go check on that or anything else. No he turns around and keeps delivering the mail so I'm not sure if anybody got their mail yesterday or if we all have someone else's mail because he got turned around because one house didn't have the mail? He absolutely did not care, and did not make any initiative to fix this. So I'm not sure if somebody else got my mail yesterday I didn't. So then I tried to call the Arden post office today to talk to the manager and let him know this is going on. No luck you can call there 20 times nobody will answer the phone. I will probably have to make my way over there in person, but honestly, I don't think it will help. The postal people have one job to do, and in the case of the mail carrier. It's to make sure they're giving you the right mail. It's not OK that the day your regular carrier goes on vacation everyone's mail gets delivered wrong. It is tax season, I also run a business and I don't need to have my mail all over the neighborhood . I'm sure other people don't either. read more

Horrible Service! For years I received the weekly ads on either Monday or Tuesday each week. Starting a few months ago, they just stopped delivering them, yet everyone else in the Arden postal area was getting theirs. I have filed numerous complaints that go nowhere. I normally try to be understanding, but my recent experience at this USPS location was genuinely disappointing. The clerk who helped me was openly rude and dismissive from the moment I walked up. There was no greeting, no professionalism, just a clear attitude like helping customers was an inconvenience. What really crossed the line was at checkout. As I completed the satisfaction rating on their device, the clerk leaned over the counter to watch what I selected and then commented on it out loud. That was completely unprofessional and made me extremely uncomfortable. Customer feedback is supposed to be private, not something an employee hovers over and reacts to. This interaction left me questioning the care and security of the important documents I was mailing. When you're dealing with government services, the bare minimum should be courtesy and professionalism. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. This post office is the best for the Arden area as long as the self service machine is working and there's no one in line for it. The lobby is open until 7pm - you can come after 5pm when everyone thinks it's closed and no one will be there. The self service machine lets you print postage right there just like the people inside do for you. You can also buy stamps there and do a bunch. It's a pretty nice lil set up honestly. read more

I did not have to or want to go in line to work with the postal office employees. Parking lot appeared nearly full. Super stressful trying to turn left into the post office and difficult getting back on the road from the parking lot. Too much traffic on Arden Way. There were so many cars that I couldn't easily or safely take a photo of the collection times on the outdoor post office mailboxes. This is a busy post office. Super rude, the staff are not trying to help you just move you along. I need to ship out 3 large items. I wanted to use their flat rate boxes. Only problem there are no large boxes. I ask the lady at the front desk. Do you have any she then points to where I just looked and says there right there. I said oh I looked there are no large ones. She then rudely shooed me away and said yes they are go look again. I humored her and walked over guess what nothing but small boxes. They need to do their jobs and stock things appropriately. This post office is consistently the worst.... It is right on Arden Way near Fulton. VERY busy area and a very large post office. Lots of parking out front. Easy to find. On this day I had a simple transaction to complete. There were AT LEAST 20 people in line waiting for a clerk. There was ONE clerk. The entire time. No one came to help the poor guy out. So it took about 45 minutes to go through the line. There were tons of packages piled everywhere on all the counters.... So frustrating. This Post Office at Arden Way is very close to my work. But it is the only I try to avoid. I am willing to drive a little farther away instead of mailing my packages here! They're better than a few years ago when I decided to write a review for them now. They're one star if I rate them a few years ago. They have double the stars now, increased from 1 to 2 stars! Lol! This is one of the very busy post offices in the Sacramento area. But often have one or two window clerks working at the front counter even they have a very long line going out the door. I have never seen the workers here with any kind of a smile on their faces! Some window clerks take a very long time in between customers. They will go to the back for a very long time after one customer regardless of how many customers in the line waiting for a very long time already. The workers at the other post offices may not be any better. But at least they have a shorter line! read more

I unfortunately HAVE to go to this USPS everyday for work as we have 2 separate PO Boxes at this location. First, do not expect any positive experiences when coming here! Parking lot is always full, lines are always long, sometimes you see homeless inside, but the worst part at this point has become the customer service. There simply isn't any. The turnover of the staff will literally make your head spin, then when they finally figure it out they leave. Today I had the worst experience I think I've ever encountered as a customer anywhere. On a busy Saturday afternoon, Mecca was at the counter and treated me, and everyone else for that matter, like we were all guests. I was in there a looong time. As a rookie to international shipment. I had questions. Me: completing the forms, sealing my shipments, buying the postage etc. she never wavered. Expediency, friendly, helpful service, all of it. The line ebbed and flowed while I toiled away off to the side. And everyone was treated to the same upbeat really competent, courteous service. The employees at this post office go out of their way to accommodate customers. I have been there when there are really long lines and they have an employee on the floor using a credit card reader to help the line move faster. Multiple times, employees have gone out of their way to assist me when I get to the counter. They give me all the information and explain shipping intricacies to me. I've never done a local Post Office review that I can think of, however, Arden Post office is well overdue for one. I've never had any issue with any Post Offices until I moved to Arden Arcade. I don't get how the mail carried messes up the mail so much, for instance. There have been several times my mail box was full of damn near everyone's mail on my block. How lazy. It's not my job to deliver the mail. I contact Arden Post office to remove all the excess mail that wasn't mine from my mailbox. The Supervisor asks me, to deliver the mail to my neighbors? I tell them, No! That's not my job and the mail carrier shouldn't be so lazy. They send someone out to pick up the mail from my mailbox. I've had package marked as delivered, but never in my mailbox. I either call if they don't take there phone off the hook or drive down there to find out where's my package is. I believe twice the mail carrier admitted to "Accidentally" delivering my packages to the wrong address. At least those 2 times the typed a certified letter, so I could get my items replaced from the company. I've also have my package delivered to North Highlands! Luckily, the people were honest a drive it to my home. I'm still trying to figure out how my package ended up way down there. The final incident is when I put my mail on hold for 2 weeks while, I went on vacation. I started getting text messages from companies saying my package when delivered to my front door. Like, WTF! I have my mail on hold. I tried to calm the Post office and guess what?! The line stayed busy. I had to wait until I got back in town. I get home & No packages at my door. I go down to the Post office hoping it was a mistake and they have my packages, but they didn't. Since I did have a vacation hold and my mail should have never been delivered. They had me fill out a claim form to be refunded for the lost packages. That process too is like pulling teeth. I would say I'd get a P.O. Box, but what's the point. The staff have bad attitudes and the Supervisors have even worse attitudes. But, come on! Y'all have to do better than this or better yet! Find another occupation all together. :) read more

I was at work when I received a bunch of DoorDash phone calls between 11:39am and 12:00pm and decided to call back as I had no idea what it was for. I called back at 12:00pm and talked to a female postal worker who refused to identify herself and she was enraged and she incorrectly assumed I was ordering food?? and having it delivered via DoorDash to the post office. The worker proceeded to tell me she had the DoorDash driver with her but he could barely speak English so I tried talking to him but she snatched the phone back and told me if I didn't pick up my package within 10 minutes she was going to throw it out.  A Federal employee threatening to throw out mail is a federal offense, correct? I explained to her I was at work and couldn't just take off like that and I would stop by after work. She promptly hung up on me. I called back to try to explain that I did not order DoorDash and placed my order with Walmart to be shipped to me and she basically called me a liar, she disregarded what I was telling her and wrongfully accused me of ordering DoorDash and not Walmart. I kept trying to explain and she was rude, abrupt and kept cutting me off not letting tell my side. I don't even have a DoorDash account. I went to my car at lunch time and called the Arden PO direct at 916-574-3005 at 12:44pm and hoped to talk to someone about my package but she answered again and I tried explain once again I never ordered Doordash and I ordered products from Walmart.com, I asked for her name and she hung up on me yet again. I suspect Walmart sent my order via Doordash driver. I don't know if it's because they are outsourcing to get product quicker to customers during the pandemic. Ask your postal worker did it ever occur to her that's what Walmart could have done. See attached copy of my order directly placed with Walmart and the address I used. Do you see DoorDash anywhere on my order?. I want this employee reprimanded and I want her name and want to know why she was so rude to me. Here's a list of things I've seen that are more organized than this place: - a kindergarten graduation - an ant colony - my shoe closet - your mom's beard No signs point to "pick up your packages here, and don't wait in the line that everyone else is waiting in." Instead, you must have the PRIOR KNOWLEDGE that a small obscure door on the left when you walk in has a doorbell that you must ring, and WAIT, because someone will answer the door and stare at you as you hand them the stupid piece of paper that your mailman left for you at your house so you can pick up your dumb package. How tf is it my fault when I didn't deliver the package? And Brett didn't know how to answer my question so he js hung up on me!!! Rob also lied abt another package that was ripped open that he sed it wasn't his employees fault & he left a message on my phone which he did no such thing but insisted he did & also blamed me for the package being ripped open!!! Came here today 4/8/24 and watched a African American worker get into a small argument with a Caucasian customer lady when halfway finished leaves the counter because she is so stressed out leaving her 1 co-worker to deal with a line out the door. Her coworkercoworker then says I have to go at 3pm and she the woman says I need a break. While waiting in line almost to the counter the employee then say's CARD ONLY and NO MONEY ORDERSORDERS, some customers ahead of me had to leave after all that. Then someone decides to ring the side door bell for assistance and the lady at the counter says door bell isn't working get in line to a guy customer. This place just needs to shut down and have the mail transferred to a location that is capable of being a Post Office. I would give zero stars to this location because of how rude an employee was to me yesterday. She was young, probably late 20s early 30s, a little on the heavy side, and black hair in a loose low ponytail/bun. I waited in line for almost an hour only to have her tell me to get back in line because I didn't have a label filled out. I told her I've never used priority mail express before, then she gave me an attitude and a long list of instructions(that apparently were incorrect according to a customer rep I talked to on the phone today), then told me to get back in line when I had it all completed. I come here during my lunch break or before work when I need to make a quick mail drop or USPS errand. Love using the 24 hour machine to buy postage or mail a package. The downside however is there are sometimes homeless people that sleep inside the lounge area (and they smell). I wish that when they're there in the morning, that they don't get so intrusive with my own personal matters.
