I found this company thru the internet and quickly jumped on yelp to see what this company is all about.... After reading the reviews, I figured out that I would need them for about 10 hours, I got a hold of "The Other Side Movers" page. and was pleasantly surprised that I got a quick response from the website, and when I say quick... less than 5 minute response! Anyways we spoke about prices, man power and times and told me I would only need half the time that I was thinking of. When I asked about a second stop, I was told with no hesitation that they will do whatever I needed to get the job done. On the day of the move, I thought if they only took the big stuff I could get the rest of the smaller stuff in my car, but they had other ideas. I was finishing up with the kitchen and they jumped in and not only finished packing my bedroom but loading it in the truck! They shrink wrapped all the dressers and cabinets that would come open and took extra care with the grandfather clock that I was extremely nervous about moving. Throughout the entire time Robert, Mathew, Diego and Greg kept up laughing and ribbing each other to go faster.. (which I am not quite sure how they could possibly go faster). I asked them about the comment from one of the reviews said by "Whatever needs to be done, the guys will do it... " They said they do it all, Lawn mowing to window installation to painting. If you have a job to do, They got the right guy to do it... and Yes they have even put Sod in for someone! We stopped over to my brother in-laws house and what I thought would be a extra hour took minutes of them hustling up and down the stairs... and when I say hustle... I mean full on RUNNING!!! We got everything in the truck and while driving to my new place I was thinking "HOW???" how can these 4 run and I mean RUN back and forth the entire time.... they got to be exhausted. But I was Underestimating these guys once again... back and forth from the Condo Shed to the Truck to my Condo on the 3rd floor... running... yep, they had no signs of slowing down! They even separated the truck so they knew what went into the condo on the 3rd floor and what went into the shed... (HUGE relief that I didn't have to guide them or babysit them the entire time). During the entire time I was (attempting) to keep up with them by helping them move, My Hustle must of looked like a turtle in mud compared to them. Next time I will just stand back and watch the boys sweat! During the move a handle of one of the cabinets came off and they were quick to report it and wanted to fix it, But I wasn't worried about it... The dollop of E6000 glue would of been more cost then the cabinet was honestly worth and the scratch on the table wasn't more than 3 drops of stain to fix. On time... yep Careful with my stuff... Yep Yep! Quick to unload and load... Absolutely!!! More costly... Yes but totally worth it! Would I recommend them again... Yes! and I have. read more

Customers beware!!!! Please make sure you are dealing with the company you think you are! If you request a moving quote, you may get a call from a company saying they are The Other Side Movers and they will give you a great quote. You will research them online and find the 5 star reviews that belong to The Other Side Movers out of Utah (which seem great!) You will think that is the company you are dealing with, except these people are based out of Pennsylvania. When they show up they dont come in a nice truck with the logo, no matching shirts and they dont look like young guys that you see on the real "The Other Side Movers" website. They speak less english than foreign language. Your quote ends up being way less than what they are now telling you that you owe them. You are a day away from closing on your house, they have your stuff packed and wrapped so what do you do? You are stuck and they know it. They leave trash all over your yard, eat food you have visible, and spit chewed up gum in your sink drain. All of what you have to clean up because you are closing on your house the next day. They tell you up to 14 days for delivery. When the 14 days comes and goes and they only seem to like to communicate via text, you blow their phones up. They keep saying they are delayed. They give you another time frame and that comes and goes. Then they confirm a day with you and now thats not happening either because a tire was blown out. I am putting this review here because you may google "The Other Side Movers" and find this legit company and think you're in good hands. What you dont know is this company who has now changed their name to "The Other Side Movers" used to be Precision Relocation, and A-Class Movers out of PA and/or NJ. Seems their warehouse is in NJ. You wont know any better because you were never told those two names to check the legitimacy of them. So not only do they have the 5k you gave them but you dont know where your stuff is. If its damaged, things missing etc because they are just so sketchy. I made a mistake doing this so I hope to save someone else from the same mistake! Do some research before you sign anything! The best movers I have ever used after a dozen corporate relocations in the last 28 years. The moved our household items from Park City to Salt Lake City and to Storage. Here are some details: Quality and Responsiveness I have moved many times in my career and usually with large nationwide moving companies and the Other Side was as good or better in many ways. First, their attention to detail was excellent. They had the ability to respond to multiple one-off requests and took the time to make sure things got moved the way we wanted them to be moved. We had items going to a rental, some that would be going into storage and others that needed to be put aside either for donation or another reason. They executed all of this flawlessly. They are unflappable and consistently check in throughout the move to ensure things are going well. Strong listening skills and the ability to execute are their keys to success. Here is one of the most amazing parts: We made a mistake and gave them a date a month later than we needed and had renters coming in 5 days to move in to our old house. My wife called me in a panic that morning, frantically calling other moving companies to see who could move us on the same day or at least within a day or two. When she called The Other Side Movers, they simply said, "let me call you back to see if I can put together a crew" They were at the house by noon with no notice, packed up the house and were ready the next day to move everything to a storage unit. There is no chance with the dozen or so companies I have ever worked with this would have happened. It was truly a remarkable effort and degree of responsiveness. I did not expect it but I am very grateful. Price and Value After getting bids from multiple companies it was clear that The Other Side knows the market and works to ensure they can compete and win opportunities to work for you. The quality of of their packing work was excellent, the ability to stage out what gets moved when and by whom. Trust Moving can be a very personal experience. Let me start by saying I've never written a review in my entire life, but I'm taking the time to do so now because this company is so superb and I want everyone to have the opportunity to move with such a great company. When I came to SLC, I was very overwhelmed by the prospect of having to move all of my things into my apartment by myself. I'm a young female and am certainly not strong enough to lift all the furniture I brought by myself. I toyed with the idea of hiring movers, but was very hesitant because, again, I'm a young female which means a) I worry about being taken advantage of and b) I have a pathetic savings account. After reading some reviews about The Other Side Movers, I decided to give them a call. They called me back in a very timely manner (within 24 hours) and were willing to work within my budget. Additionally, they extended their hours for me so that I could meet them in the evening after work. When I arrived at the storage unit, they were already there. I was paying for two movers and they sent four. Just because. They quickly loaded my stuff and before I knew it, we were at my apartment. As I tried to unlock my door, I realized I had lost my one key. I'd have to call a locksmith and, since my door was deadbolted, this was going to take a while. I despairingly told the movers that it'd be totally understandable if they wanted to just call it a day and bring my stuff back to the storage unit. Instead, they pulled out some of my chairs and got some snacks from their truck and we all waited together for the locksmith (who, by the way, took an hour to get into my apartment). The entire time, all of the movers were joking, laughing, and never showed an ounce of annoyance. When I finally got into my apartment, they moved my stuff quickly and carefully. And when it was time for me to pay, they only charged me for the hours they worked- not for the extra hour of waiting. All of these things blew me away. I never could have dreamed of having a more amazing moving company. They took what could've been an absolutely terrible day and actually made it rather enjoyable. My experience with this company was so pleasant that for the first time I found myself wishing there was the option to rate a company with 10 starts instead of only 5. Let me share my experience as directly, clearly, and honestly as it can be stated. Price- The price quoted (and honored) was so low that one hour before the move I panicked and I had to call them to verify again that they understood I needed them to provide a truck and equipment along with the crew. I thought for sure I was given too low of a quote to possibly mean they were providing more than a few good men. I needed a truck. Amazingly enough. The quote did include the use of a large truck. Professionalism- Any calls were returned within 30 minutes. They arrived a few minutes before on time, clean and respectful, completely prepared, eager to please, and never, ever, ever complained. Fast- We moved me out of a 2300 sq. ft. townhouse and into my home in less than 3 1/4 hours. That includes helping me place every piece of furniture exactly where I wanted it. (little more to the left/little more pulled forward, etc) Even when I changed my mind from time to time. That includes taking extra time to make sure every single box was in the room I wanted it to be in to make my unpacking easier. I was amazed. Careful- After they left, I took an in depth inventory of the condition of the townhouse, the new house, my furniture, and my boxes. I could not find a single scratch, dent, or sign of wear and tear or damage on anything. Not on a single wall, floor, door frame, corner, fabric, wood, plastic, glass, even cardboard. They delivered my most fragile art pieces, lamps, and electronics and there was not one bit of harm done to any of it. I have hired expensive, top of the line movers a number of times in the past and there was always damage to our possessions accompanied with the explanation that its hard to not have it be otherwise by the head of the moving crew, but these guys were so careful that I could not find any damage whatsoever. These cutie patooties knocked it OUT OF THE PARK. It's now been a few hours since they left our homes, but oh my goodness, Mom hasn't stopped talking about how much she enjoyed partnering with this crew. Moves are always stressful, and these guys made what could have been a VERY horrendous move, tolerable, and fun. A few notable experiences how these guys went above and beyond taking care of my mom: Packing Day *When they packed Mom's house everything was handled with lots of care. *If anyone here knows my mom, ya'll know she has a particular way of wanting things done, not only did they "do things right." They "did things right - with zero complaints." *Mom was especially concerned about some antique furniture with thick marble tops, they NOTED her concerns and acted with extra care. *The boxes were well-labeled. *Except for that one houseplant, we know confidently where everything is. Moving Day *the men were professional, polite, friendly and fast AF. *They worked efficiently and holy shit, guys, a LOT of movers have a stupid chip on their shoulder BUT these guys had a damn good attitude. *They worked extremely well together. The teamwork was really cool to witness. *They thanked US multiple times for the coffee and soda that we provided. *After the furniture was initially placed, they offered to move it AGAIN, if she needed to change her mind. *They took care to remove the plastic wrap before they left. *They set up momma's bed, and her guest bed, which is the sweetest gesture of love. Steve, Cam and Diego made my day a couple of nights ago. It was a snowy night. I had long ago scheduled a shipping company which is said to be the leader in shipping mattresses. They came but would not help me move my mattress. My mattress got stuck in apartment stairwell. Unfortunately, that is it. They cannot do much to help me. I, on the other hand, have to deal with the king mattress, which is my most treasured investment, overnight, because I am leaving town on a plane the next morning. It is desperate and dreadful time and long after regular business hour. (Needless to say I paid the shipping company extra upfront so that they deemed me priority customer, but they still showed up at end of day, which did not leave me much time for contingency.) I was at the brink of breaking down, because the cost of not being able to move my mattress is huge. Then I called Steve. He heard my story, and is so eager to help me. He said he needed a couple of minutes to set up the team. And then within two minutes, he called me back and said the movers are coming my way and will be helping me in 10 minutes. Cam and Diego are the movers. They are very professional, and very experienced. They came with mattress bag just so I may need it. They are also very considerate of my neighbors, and the traffic on the road. Most importantly, the charges of this job, even though it is an emergency job, and not previously scheduled, is very fair. I used other movers in the same area to move the same bed, and a set of sofa for more than twice as much. Within one hour of my initial call to Steve, Cam and Diego had brought my mattress to my friend's place, where it needs to be. In the snowy and slippery night, I am very relieved. The Other Side Movers gave me my peace of mind. I am positively inspired by Steve, Cam, Diego and The Other Side Movers, by their work ethics. They are down to earth. I just wanted to say how amazing the group of men who helped us move was!! Joey, Dylan , Wes and Malcolm were with us from nine in the morning until very late in the evening!! They were extremely hard-working, polite, and very gentle with our furnishings! Everything came in perfectly to the new home!! I was also delighted to see their camaraderie, and their wonderful spirits shine through to make the day easier for me and my daughter!! I literally cannot say enough nice things about them!! I will also say having moved over 20 times, including my parents into assisted living, moving myself and my family, kids in and out of college, that I'm a pretty experienced person when it comes to moving!! They were not only extremely professional, but very well priced!! I hate to say I felt like it was a wonderful bargain only because their pricing was well under market rate. The quality of the work was well above any I have seen in a long time. I have only one in I have ever seen do as good a job. (by the way the Texas Mover was probably twice the price or maybe three times!) The program that these men go through is incredible!! I am certainly in awe!! It was as if my own sons were moving my things!! I did not have to ask them to be careful at all!! It truly was as if they were helping their own family move!! I have never in my life had a moving company like this one. They were exceptional! Literally these guys were jogging back to get more boxes. Jogging! I do not know how they had so much energy. My dad and I sat there in awe. They showed up on time and with awesome attitudes. Throughout the day they continued to impress other family members who were drifting in and out of my house. They kept asking, who are these guys? Where did you find them? No one could believe how amazing these five guys were. Just to complicate the move, the new location consisted of three buildings. The barn, the guest house and the main house, so they had to rearrange all of my belongs between the three buildings. They did this without complaint and were happy to continue shifting, unloading and re-loading my items as the location dictated. Their attitudes and willingness to do whatever was asked of them was extremely impressive, even as we got into the evening hours. John B. and Antonio kept things running smoothly and attacked ridiculously heavy equipment with smarts and determination. Kelby and Cody kept the pace up with their high energy, despite the numerous trips back and forth and countless stairs they ascended and descended. Who knew Barbie and Strawberry Shortcake could have so many personal belongings. LOL! (they will get that joke) Larry was incredible as he loaded the truck, like a real life game of Tetris, making sure everything fit and was safely transported. I cannot say enough good things about these five guys...the Fab 5 (John B., Antonio, Cody, Larry & Kelby). Their can-do attitudes, high energy, considerate behavior, willingness, incredible work ethic and their own stories have left an impression on me that I will not soon forget. I've been a professional organizer in Marin and the SF Bay Area for 27 years. I've worked with a lot of movers around the country, and many more than once. My experience is that men in this profession often have a hard time taking 'orders' from a woman. As a professional, my job is to represent my clients and it's my responsibility to get a job done right. And I deliver. I recently flew to SLC to move my daughter and her fiancé into their new home in Draper. When Jordan, Austin and Ian showed up, after two long days of packing, I showed them everything they needed to do, and fully expected that they wouldn't get it right and I'd have to stay on top of what them. (Usually this part of a job is as much work as any other part of it.) Jordan told me there wasn't anything I needed to do and so I sat on the couch doing puzzles on my iPad while they did everything. It was awesome! They were intelligent, they'd listened to my instructions (carried them out perfectly) and treated me with more respect then (as a woman organizer) I've ever gotten in all my years in business. They were really fast and did such a great job packing the truck I took a picture of it! This next part is a bit of an aside, but meant a lot to me. When we got to the house I was really moved because I was seeing my daughter's brand new house for the first time finished... (having moved out of a tiny house I'd helped her buy several years ago). I told them I couldn't do the walk thru without crying and was pleasantly surprised to see how touched they were by it. So I cried for the first 10 minutes and was allowed my not-so-private moment by three really sweet guys. My review is about the landscaping crew from The Other Side Academy. If I could give ten stars, I would. They are that good. I would say my "before" yard announced to the neighborhood, "Heather gave up!" Which is true--I had let things go WAY beyond the point of being acceptable. I don't enjoy yard work, especially in the heat, and I may have had to resort to some form of slash and burn gardening to deal with the trash trees, overgrown vines, and noxious weeds that I simply could not stay on top of, had I not found out about this crew. So I called them, had a consultation with Dave and Erik, and got scheduled for about a week later. Showing up even a little early on the day of my appointment, is a TOSA crew of 7 guys with a lot of energy, a lot of tools, and a serious desire to make me happy with my yard again. They saw things that needed to be done that I didn't even REALIZE needed to be done, like trimming back some bushes near my house, repairing parts of my fence, and mulching underneath my hedge of Japanese Yew (they already had the mulch and didn't charge me for it!). They worked extremely fast and were very thorough. My "after" yard says, "Someone really does live here!" and "Relax, sit down, enjoy the birdwatching!" Perhaps the best part, though, is how professional and kind they are. It is sad to say that this is sometimes a rare experience, to hire people who take pride in what they do, and do it with such a helpful demeanor and positive attitude. These are the kind of people you HOPE you get to work with in your own job, because their work ethic is amazing and the standards they hold themselves to are so high. I was BEYOND impressed with the Other Side Movers, during a recent move I organized for my mother. I had called a few different companies. Scott and Chris, the schedulers on the phone, were the most responsive of my calls. The price for the OtherSide was the most competitive. Their basic model is $35/per person, with a two hour minimum. They arrive with their own truck, with everything they would need (blankets, dollies, tie-downs, etc). They were on time, they were professional. When going down the stairs, they ever-so-slightly bumped/nicked the sheetrock on the wall, after which they immediately came to tell me; plus, they volunteered to fix it on the spot (which I did not have them do; there were already nicks in the wall prior from ourselves). They worked so fast it was amazing. They took care of every detail, including dismantling and repacking things that we should have had ready. And, after we drove to the new house, they loaded everything in perfectly. They would not leave until we walked the house carefully. They even moved furniture 2-3 times until we sorted out its location in each room perfectly. Also---one guy backed into a sharp shelf corner sticking out in a bedroom, at full speed. It hurt him a lot, as was obvious in his face. But, he did not swear or yell, just grimaced; I was impressed. Everyone's language/demeanor was pleasant and optimistic. My mother was stressed, and they worked to calm here. The move was flawless, and the price was so right. Brilliant!! Please, allow me to introduce you to an extraordinary Company. The Other-side Mover's and Academy! These guys are on a Mission and they have the Character and Integrity to prove it. I researched several Moving Companies, some reputable in terms of recognition, but not a one that had a Mission Statement liken to these outstanding individuals. Although the Mission Statement isn't written as such, you can clearly digest the context through their narrative. Regardless as to the number of Outfits I perused, I continually returned to their page. Thoroughly impressed with the comprehensive, detailed message garnered from their Website and Yelp, I made the correct decision. I requested a quote via text, sent a few photos and spoke with the Manger. They accommodated all my needs and requirements without any difficulty. Perhaps because, I wasn't a challenging client. Well, for the most part. Look, they accomplish this work with the upmost skill, professionalism and integrity. They were extremely kind, thoughtful and polite. They're working diligently to repair any discrepancy which may have become them in the past. Although, you wouldn't be capable of discernment in that regard after meeting them. Their Work is fantastic, their Mission extraordinary. I recommend them with all the trust I'd provide upon a family member. I know I've continued my review ad nauseam, so I'll give it a rest. It's just difficult, as I can't praise them enough. BTW, a tip would be appreciated, when their work is done. Incredibly it all goes toward the Academy Program, which is clearly a worth while cause, aside the fact that the bill came in about $200.00 less than I thought it would be. My husband and I recently moved to a new home. We hired The Other Side Movers to pack our existing home and move all our belongings. I reached out to the group about six weeks before our move and they visited our home about two weeks prior to do an inventory and estimate for us. Both encounters were incredibly positive and professional. On our packing day, Hardy, Bryan, Tim, and Kaden worked in our home for five hours packing up all our belongings. I cannot articulate enough how thorough, professional, and careful they were. As an event planner and long-time exhibit manager, I have worked with labor crews often. I was so impressed with how cohesive this group was. They worked so well together and were unfailingly courteous and professional to us and each other in their interactions. Often in an exhibit or large convention setup, the crew has one person that does not 'carry their weight.' I was delighted at how hard each of these men worked together. The next day after packing, the group arrived early in the morning for the move. That day we had Hardy, Bryan, Tim, and Jeff. My husband and I were amazed at how hard they worked. We could never have done this on our own. Hiring The Other Side Movers was a great decision, and we would hire them repeatedly. We sold our home and needed to place our furniture in storage for a period of time while we waited for our new home to be ready. After searching online for a moving company to help move our stuff in and out of storage I found that The Other Side Movers' reviews were off the charts good. Still, I called four of the higher rated companies to get price quotes. Even though The Other Side Movers were rated #1 they were also very competitively priced. We chose them to help us with the move and we were so glad that we did. These guys are great!! After you schedule your move they call you again about a week before to confirm the date and they give you the time of arrival. During both moves they showed up 10 - 15 minutes early and were ready to go. Both times we had four movers show up. Kamden, Justin, Daniel, Jeffrey, Alex, Scott, Laif, and Bruce were all amazing! They worked non-stop. In fact, after carrying and placing our items carefully in its place they would then run back to get more. No kidding! Every time! I told them that I appreciated their hard work but they didn't need to run. Didn't matter, they still ran. They carefully wrap the furniture and pack everything well so that your furniture doesn't get damaged while in transit. They were extremely courteous, nice, and professional. I never thought that I would say that moving was fun, but this move with these guys was fun. We enjoyed getting to know them while they worked. After they left, my wife and daughter both mentioned that they were sad to see them leave. Imagine someone saying that about a moving company. These guys do really great work! I don't typically write reviews but after the service I received today I had to write one for this amazing company. Moving can be one of the most stressful processes but with this company my day was literally stress free. They called me 30 minutes before my appointment time and told me they were on the way (they were 15 minute early which is a huge plus). There was four guys, they all walked in shook my hand and introduced themselves. Shylo took the lead with the paperwork and walked me through their whole process and had me sign all the documentation that was needed pre-move and then he and the guys went for it. I literally watch these men sprint up and down my buildings concrete steep stairs moving my stuff to the truck all while still showing great care with my belongs. The teamwork and communication these men had with one another showed how much respect they had for each other as well as the work they we were doing. They showed the same quality of work and efficient pace while unloading my property at my new home. They helped me put all of my belongings in the appropriate rooms and made sure I was satisfied with where everything was at. I cannot speak more highly of the service I received and the quality of these men that helped me today, I will recommend them to everyone and anyone and I will use them again in the future. Also, the craziest part of this whole thing is my entire move from start to finish took less than two hours as these men were so efficient and respectful of my time. I just used The Other Side Movers last weekend to move to a new apartment. Let me start by saying THESE GUYS ARE FABULOUS! Wow! I couldn't believe all the positive reviews I found before hiring them, but they've earned each and every one of the kudos with absolutely stellar service! Even though I was only moving 3 buildings away, they took great care to wrap, pack and handle all my stuff as if I was moving hundreds of miles. They were 15 minutes early, smiling, friendly and ready to work. Everyone introduced themselves and got to work right away. They were quick and efficient and followed handling instructions for fragile and unique items to the letter, including an antique western saddle. The water valve to my washer was frozen, I was a bit stressed because I was unable to disconnect it but they came in with the right tools and the right touch to take care of the problem without hesitation and with smiles! At my new place they put everything where I asked, assembled furniture, connected the washer and dryer and were done unloading in great time. Everything was explained and I was presented with itemized inventories of what was loaded and unloaded as well as a clearly explained, itemized bill. It is awesome to get such amazing and quality service for a very reasonable cost. Its doubly gratifying to know that money goes to such a great cause and that these guys earn every penny of it to make better lives for themselves and their group.
