It's hard to write a review on a Post Office! It's not everyday I personally utilize the Post Office. In today's world, it's online everything!! When you drive up to this location, at first glance, you'd think it was street parking. Yes, there's street parking. If you drive past the front of the building, there's a parking lot. This is a pretty standard post office. It seems like it's kind of small on the inside but there were the standard 3 employees working when I came in to mail some holiday stuff and get some holiday stamps. The service was terrific and the e employees were amongst the most pleasant I've ever seen in a post office setting. Let's just say no one was going postal at this location. See what I did there? The only thing that is a little weird is the parking lot. The entrance is at the far end of the parking lot. I actually drove by that was going to go to the driveway close to the building and then realized it was an exit only so I had to circle the block and come in from the alley. One of the worst post office experiences ever!! This post office never answers there phone calls even after calling on different times and different days. I had a package that couldn't be delivered and I tried to call to tell them to hold it so they don't send it back and NEVER ANSWERED. When I filed a report to the higher ups , the next day one of the employees contacted me and said that they will hold it for me to come pick up it the next day. Come today and the employee CAN NOT FIND IT. They have very poor communication between there teams. So now I have to wait to come back on Monday to come pick up the package because they would not leave it at my address. This is the third incident I've had with this usps office as last two packages my stuff got stolen!!They need better employees and management. read more

Used to be the post office was less expensive due to government subsidies we all paid. Now they have too many government worker pensions to pay. They do get busy and things get hectic, but their professional attitude is consistent. I came bright and early this Sat. morning upon opening (9 am) and there was a massive group of people already waiting for it to open. If this had been the UTC Costa Verde post office (which in my experiences is one of the worst in SD) it probably would have taken 30-40 mins to get through. Nope, not here. With the assistance of an employee who helps people get they shish together while shuffling through the line, along with the employees behind the counter that 'get er done,' it moved quickly and seamlessly. I like that this post office has plenty of parking and offers the cool drive through drop off boxes. Yep, locate the box & shove it in....easy, quick, and satisfying - while cutting out all the BS. I have been going to this post office for at lease 7 years. I love the location and I enjoy the great customer service and the friendliness of the staff. I have been going so long, I know almost all of their names. The ones that stand out for me Eric, Troy, and Jason. There are several others, I just don't know their names. They are so kind and helpful that I never care about long lines. I always make sure that when I go to the Post Office, that I am never in a hurry. I came on a busy day the line was out the door. I met some wonderful people in line as we waited. One even told me about all the different places in SD that they have Volunteered. Reminded me I should give some time. The other person was a military vet who had just got back from his 50th reunion. I haven't done anything consecutively for 50 years. What a world. Some of the other Customers were a little frustrated with the wait time. It's not what you came to the post office to do but it's just a part of life. The great thing about this post office is that when an Employee is with you, they are with you. They make sure you get what you need and that your package gets sent in the right direction. To me that's important they may not have 45. People working the front desk and that's ok. USPS has plenty of online tools but if you do happen to come inside just wait they will get to you in the order received. You will get 100% of their attention when it's your turn. Didn't get the guys name out of the frustration of how my aunt was treated, but Monday, November 20, at around 9:30am my aunt went into the post office to inquire about text message she received from USPS regarding a shipment she had that was delayed. The reason she went in was was to see if it was a scam, because she was in fact expecting a shipment but never received a text from usps before. Being elderly, you can never be to careful right? Well the person at the front desk (about 6 ft tall, reddish blondish hair, maybe in his 40's ) she told him she had a tracking number she wanted him to check to see if it was a scam or legit and he asked if it was a text or email so she told him it was a text. He immediately overreact, threw his hands up in the air, yelling NO nO No, we will never send you a text. If it's a text it's a scam. She replied that she has a tracking number and he says I DONT CARE, it's a scam. She said thanks and left. GOOD THING I WASNT IN THE ROOM!! If I heard him speak to my aunt that way, belittling her as if she should have known before coming there, I would have gone straight to the supervisor. There is good and bad about this post office. The good: most of the counter help people have been very pleasant and helpful. The lines usually move fast enough (for a post office). The bad: phone service is touch and go as sometimes it just rings off the hook and you get disconnected after several minutes. But if you are fortunate to reach someone, they have been helpful. read more

Today I called to ask how much to print, they said 17 cents per page and i asked how it worked, they said you can email it to us for a $2.99 fee. I said can i just print from a computer in there without emailing to them and they said sure because i did not want to pay $3.00+ to print one piece of paper. I arrive 10 minutes after calling them and telling them that i just need to print 1 page with no color and i ask them how much and they tell me their email scam and i ask if i could use the computer (which is supposedly for customer diy) and print it from their myself. They said that they don't have access to the print jobs to that computer right now, but they will tomorrow. Unbelievable, they should have mentioned that over the phone instead me having to drive over there to find out. Idiots. read more

Sara was helping me today and she was very rude and impatient. I get there's a line and that's okay I am very patient and understanding but once I was at the register she didn't bother asking me what I need. She saw I had a box and just slapped a label down for me to fill out. after i finished that she went forward with the transaction and said the price. I said I need 1 day shipping and she got frustrated and said i should've told her that when i got to the desk. However she immediately slapped something down in-front of me, not giving me time to say anything. I get you may not enjoy your work but don't make it a negative experience for everyone here. They lock the package shoot during self service hours. I get off work at 7am and would like to drop my stuff off. This is an inconvenience for me. I understand it could be a security issue but the door says self service starts at 6am. I swear the PO closer to SD are all like this. It seams like an much older PO. Lack of parking for visitors. I waited in line like everyone else with my bag of items to ship. Sandy was getting frustrated and told me that I had more then 10 items and I would have to go back in line. Then Troy said no she does not she waited in line finish her items. Sandy was being extremely rude asking me how many m items I had and complaint about my items envelopes were small and her postage stamps didn't fit and I needed to print smaller etc.. then she made me step aside while she helped other customer. Troy was so nice and apologized for her terrible customer service. I had 15 items to ship and I had no idea there was a limit on items you could ship. please speak to Sandy regarding her terrible customer service. Everytime I've been in here there's only one guy that is friendly. I'm not looking for anything above and beyond but treat me like a human. I've just had the rudest carrier EVER! She came to my door and knocked without a mask. I spoke to her out my window and asked if she had one, because I had to sign for a package. She said no but I can take your package back and you can go pick it up so full of icky attitude. I couldn't believe it. I didn't think it was an unreasonable request since I had a baby on my hip. But I just said yes I can go pick it up. She eye rolled. Which is weird because it doesn't have any effect on her. It was just so unnecessary. I tried to call and complain but no one picked up the phone. It just sucks because this is when we should be courteous and understanding. And mail carriers are exposed to a lot but and I am grateful but there's no excuse to be so rude. Our usual mail carrier is so cool and nice I guess I got spoiled. I'm editing now because I got through to-an employee named Troy, Ironically he is the one person I said in my above review that is the only person I've encountered that treats people like humans and is friendly. He took my info and really I just feel so much more put a ease. He let me complain and was very understanding and just nice. He was definitely a breath of fresh air. Thank you Troy for fixing my day! All 5 stars are only for Troy! I wanted to put zero stars but obviously that's not an option and Troy called back and handled my issue with a wonderful level of professionalism and care. What do you expect? There's always going to be a line as everyone is always mailing packages. One of the counter guys were funny but unfortunately he was only entertaining us with his humor. He was unable to help monetary transactions-example he can't sell you stamps or take payment with your credit card. He can only assist you with picking up mail. :( Otherwise, the counter staff are friendly but it sucks that there's always a long line when I go there. Be sure to always set aside 30 minutes to be at a post office or use the self help kiosk outside. read more

This is the crappiest service ever . They never answer their phones , they let it ring forever then hang up. I been waiting for a package for 3 days . I was sent a message that they will deliver a package 3 days ago by the end of the day. I waited all day and no package. The next day was my day off so not coming to work to wait . Today I'm at work all day, doors not locked and have cameras in the lobby ... they sent a message stating they tried to deliver my package at 3:44 pm... COMPLETE LIE! door was open and no videos of anyone trying to walk in the door at that time so this is a lie and they have done this before! I went to the post office to mail out some items. The last time I mailed our gifts or any item was probably 5 years ago or more, honestly. I knew I needed the boxes ans envelopes there, which I grabbed, but I didn't realize that I needed to fill out the forms prior to. The gentleman at the counter, named Doug, said I needed to fill everything out first. Handed me a marker and pointed me to a small station to do so. I went back in line and went to Doug again but this time, he shook his head, sighed loudly and said I needed to fill out a customs form for one. Well, I told him from the beginning I didn't know what was needed. I have not done this before. Third time, I got a nice man named Eric. he helped me with the packages, the form, and was extremely helpful even when one of the addresses qaa wrong, he was patient to help me locate the right house number. I give a 3 because Doug was not patient, seemed annoyed that I wasn't well versed in post office procedures. I have been to 3rd party stores and they do more for you there, so I wasn't aware! Here is a Post Office That Is Not very busy and It is Not As Big as the Normal Post office also it is fairly old post office . There are Mail Boxes outside for you to drop off your mail also when you walk in It is kind of dark and It does have a Machine where you can buy stamps and check your postage . There are A couple Associates or Post workers behind the counter to help you if you need to send out a Package . They could tell quickly what my options are and how much it would cost or what package I need, all promptly and with courtesy. If I mess something up they don't give an attitude, they just say its alright you can correct it and then come back and ill take care of you. I have been to this location twice this month. Right off the bat, I am not a fan of the layout/parking. From the actual parking lot to the post office is a little walk - though I do not mind but if you are on a time crunch that would be another story. I would recommend parking on the street to make your trip quicker if you need to! (Minus 3 stars) The biggest disappointment was the line was beyond the door and only 3 employees were working. Out of the 3 employees -- 2 were cashiers and 1 was the scanner person who will scanned packages, or those paying via credit for Priority Mail, or PO Box pick up. It felt like the employees didn't really care about the people in line. There was a customer ahead of me and he was there for a pick up and stood in the long line. When it was his finally his turn, the scanner person THEN announces anyone in line for pick up or have questions to go to her... Well the cashier, had already left to go find his package so it just slowed everything down. There was no back up or additional staff to help out. The longest wait I have ever experienced at a post office given that I normally have a good amount of patience when it comes to the post office. I want to report violations of not doing my vacation hold that I did online, and leaving a large envelope sticking out of the mail slot that I could see with my Ring doorbell camera.
