After trying to call another phone # 415-759-0190, which no one answers, and wasted 30 minutes of my life, I decided to look here on Yelp. I called the local # and young man named Eric answered the phone! I had thought a package for me was sent to the wrong zip code, but Eric explained how the delivery service works and was very helpful. He assured me that the package will be delivered to the correct address. Bravo, Eric! After the phone call, I backtracked on the internet and learned that the first phone # I called is the default listing for ALL the post offices here in San Francisco! Yelp helps! read more

Way worst than the Evans main branch. The customer service there is sickening. They have a attitude if you ask them a question and your packages always be in the wrong Po boxes or it says delivered and nothing is there. When asked about it they come up with lies. read more

The customer service isn't even that bad. There is one window available since it is not a very busy location. A parking lot is available for those of you driving here. Worst Post Office ever. Workers are always so rude and you'd be lucky if you receive your mail.

It seems like someone at the post office has been going through my mail. Almost every time an important document comes through, it's already been opened by the time it gets in my mailbox. This has been happening for months now. The ridiculous thing is I LIVE LITERALLY NEXT TO THE POST OFFICE. So from what it seems like someone at the post office is tampering with my mail, which is a federal offense. I'll try to attach pictures later but right now the Yelp app isn't cooperating. read more

Update: I called the postmaster, and they gave me a different phone number to call: 415.822.7066. This number actually worked, and the employee I spoke with was nice and helpful. So...if you have to call them, use the secret 7066 number! **************** A time-sensitive gift I ordered was routed through here. They inexplicably diverted and forwarded my package to some undisclosed address, according to tracking. I can't go to the PO because I work in the east bay, and they never, ever answer their damn phone, so I have no way of figuring out what the hell happened to my package or where it might be. read more

I forgot to update this review. The customer service was alright, but the guy didn't know what I was talking about when I asked for cheap padded envelopes to ship a tie someone wanted. It was a bit ridiculous that you work at a post office and you don't even know what a padded envelope is. But in general they were nice and they weren't too slow. read more

Busy signal on the phone lines all day. Cannot get through. Carries deliverer mail when they want. Never a consistent time. If you walk into this office for service be prepared to wait. Usually only one rep available to help and usually at least 3 to 4 people ahead of you. You usually get a rep who is unpleasant due to the circumstances. So unprofessional all around the board. Our mail carrier retired last year and he was THE BEST. Whomever took over the route is HORRIBLE. I have complained before but today I'm really upset. I had a package delivered but instead of the carrier putting it on the COVERED part of my porch he/she just chucked it on the landing in the rain. Thanks to the carrier everything is wet!! I wish I could rate it negatively because I think everyone rating it 1 stars or more is inflating the average rating. They never pick up the phone (must be intentional), they lose packages or hold packages unnecessarily, and the woman named Marilyn lied to me. After taking off from work to pick up a package that for some reason, is "undeliverable", she promises to call me later that night with information with what they will do. Of course, I never got a call. The tracking states that my package will be sent to the sender. Only one attempt has been made. If you have poor experiences with this office, I highly recommend that we all file complaints until all the lazy, incompetent idiots working at this office are removed. I am filing complaints. Usually only one stand operating most of the time. They'll usually pretty efficient if you're in a hurry, but sometimes they can take a while as some people's order can take a long time and require a bit more attention than others. If you're looking for cheap packaging letters, you're better off grabbing them elsewhere because they can get incredibly pricy here. Looks like no way to put 0 stars. The delivery person just left package in front of my gate that is right in front of side walk. My gate doesn't going at all. Anyone can walk by and just grab. Good thing someone came home minutes after the delivery person left the package at the gate. I had a previous package stolen before. I had video and pictures to prove it. But USPS denied my claim. Stop leaving packages at my gate. I rather go pick it up than to have it delivered to the front of my gate to taken from someone off the street. Not sure what else we can do about this post office. I can't believe anyone would give this Post Office a bad rating. I have been going there for 20 plus years and have never had a bad experience. They are always courteous and professional. Being in the Bayview, this branch does not always get the support they need from headquarters. I have complained several times of how they allow the grass to grow 5' tall before they cut it. This is a hole in the wall with awful customer service. The people that work here have a bad attitude and don't care! Go to another post office if at all possible! So frustrating, if they apologized at least it would help, but they have such poor customer service training they don't even know to do that. Tried calling the phone and fax number but no one picks up. It's an endless loop of ringing. Definitely agree with one of the past yelpers, what is the point in having a phone line if no one picks up? If anything, please update the phone number so customers can get in contact! Can't give this proper service review because at 2:30pm they were CLOSED FOR LUNCH. No service to be had. Instead I was greeted by this handwritten sign indicating they were on break. If this branch is understaffed, HIRE MORE STAFF! I have a hard time believing ''tis would fly in a more affluent neighborhood. There was a line of people waiting, for an hour, for you to open back up, which leads me to believe you do this all the time. I can't possibly believe this is condoned by USPS at large. I am very advanced in age and it hurts my knees to stand for long periods of time, I went to this post office to ship a package and there was only one person working the window. She had to serve about 13 people before including going ti the back to look for someone's lost package which took about 15 minutes. I stood in line for almost 35 minutes which is too long. read more

Told me someone broke into my house to accept my package for me and wouldn't admit that they delivered it to the wrong place/ lost it.

This is the absolute WORST post office in the entire world. I cannot believe that any of these dunderheads passed the required exam. They must have cheated. The employees are all seriously and ridiculously inept, with no idea how to solve the easiest problems. My main issues: The employees take up all of the parking spaces in the small lot. You can be the only person there, but all the parking spots are occupied by staff, so you end up scouring the neighborhood for parking and hoping that you don't have to carry anything heavy to or fro. Mail is consistently DAYS late. My sister across the country gets mail delivered from the same California address much faster than I get my mail. When the mail isn't late, it's delivered to the wrong address. Each week I have to redeliver mail. Seriously, PO? You have ONE JOB! They simply don't know what they're doing. Ask a question, and you will get a different answer from each one there, and they all contradict each other. They're not acquainted with customer service or even basic manners. Their lives must suck for them to be so evil. Then they have the nerve to try to get sassy! OMG I hate them! Do not use this post office ever. I'm happy that this is a convenience local post office, even though there is only one staff member at the window any time of the day. Yelp says it closes at 5:30 but it really closes at 5:00. No one picks up the phone even during business hours, I've tried many times prior to dropping by the office. The only thing that was open was the doors to the PO Boxes. Someone else was also there complaining that they were there a few minutes before 5 to pick up their package, on the USPS note it states that the post office closes at 5:30; however they have already locked the doors to the service area. I missed the delivery of my package. No big deal it happens all the time. Since this particular post-office is not open on Saturdays, I called to make sure my package was there so i wouldn't waste time in making arrangements to have someone pick up for me as I work during the week. Of course I called, called, called and CALLED. To no avail. No one picked up! I read another Yelp review in which someone gave another number to try -which I did-and that one timed out as well. Very disappointing. The poor customer service in not having a phone that someone answers is beyond disgusting and lacks in seeing value in customers time and in the patronage we give to this post office. Unprofessional beyond belief! Also, this is extremely not cool as there are many elderly people in this neighborhood who can't get to this post office and may call to get info before coming there to stand in pain in a long line that moves as slow as a snail in no hurry. This is my local post and I love it. That being said there is always room for improvement. I find that they are short sytaffed usually and most recently we do not have a regular post man. I find that lately our mail has ran extremely late and they lost two packages. One tracker said that it had been delivered which leads me to believe that the postman put it in the wrong post lock box at my apartment.
