My husband and I have been coming here for many years, and always previously had excellent service. However, today, I went in to check to see how much it would cost to mail a small envelope to Norway. The conversation went: Me: "I would like to mail this to Norway, please." Clerk grabs the envelope and slams it on the counter. Clerk: "What about it?" Me: "I just want to make sure that I add the correct postage." Thrusts it at me. Clerk: "I dunno, $20." I mentioned that it was just a standard size letter. Clerk: "put some stamps on it and see if it comes back. It probably will." I left very upset. Later, my husband took the letter and lined at at the kiosk. He paid $2.24 for the letter. We were both shocked and appalled at being treated this way. It was rude, embarrassing and I will never return there. read more

This is a small post office located in the mall. Since the post office in my neighborhood burnt down a few months ago, this is the next closest option. I needed some priority mail flat rate boxes. The postal worker pointed me in the right direction. I picked out the boxes I needed. It's nice that it's in the mall. I liked how organized they had the boxes. I never thought I'd have a favorite USPS location but THIS place is it. The workers here are so friendly, effiecient, and helpful-- and they actually look like they enjoy their jobs! The mall location also opens later than other USPS locations, which is very helpful for those days I get out of work late. It's also very easy to find parking since it's at the mall. read more

It's 10:51am on Saturday morning, and there's already a line of 6 people. This location is slower as there's usually only one maybe 2 employees if you're lucky. No self service kiosk here so all transactions needed to be handled by an associate unless you're leaving a package with a prepaid shipping label, so be prepared to wait. Service it self was great, used a medium flat rate shipping box and it was about $17 to ship to Hawaii. UPS and FedEx were charging about $65 to ship same package. Definitely going to stick with USPS. Service was great friendly and helpful and kept us feeling positive despite the line. read more

Went after work to complete change of address, came prepared and needed to scan the barcode and show proof of identity. Waited 45 min in line till after closing. Bald older man looking of thai descent , would not accept my passport. My official US PASSPORT. When IT IS listed on the USPS website as a valid form. He didnt know how to enter my passport , and implied i needed an ID or drivers liscense.....even safeway can use and scan my passport. Now i got an email from usps stating that they can no longer help with address forwarding to my new address. Beyond frustrating. read more

Local Post Office United States inside the Oakridge Westfield Shopping Center. I had came into this local post office today making a complaint since I had been unable to retrieve my mail on time at my home residence space The Woods Appartments. The Woods Appartment sis a private gated community which each residence has there own personal mailbox key. I Christina have not given anyone my mailbox key to have mail access of my assigned space. I was thinking that this location might have P.O. Boxes or being able to hold mail. But this post office is just a shipping location only. Customer services representative was attentive as communication had been completed primarily using English. There had been service distributions of my home Appartment space since 06/2023(June 2023) till 06/2025(June 2025) that has not yet been resolved or restored per self request. I get notified of my incoming mail pieces on a daily basis which I have been unable to have access to even when placing a request to hold mail, or mail forwarding to P.O. Box to be able to retrieve my pieces of incoming mail from governmental agencies. Stopped by this afternoon to drop of some boxes. The store is small but has everything you need (cards, bubble mailers, shipping boxes, supplies). I feel like there's always a bit of a line here but I didn't have to wait long at all. The worker here (wish I got her name) was so friendly and kind. Super attentive and helpful! A USPS location with a drive through mailing option! You simply drive up and drop your stuff in the mail and leave. If you do need help, you can go inside. On our visit there were 3 kiosks open and no wait although there were people milling about the store. We had a few documents that we knew we wanted to send my certified mail. We were given a few suggestions for different envelopes and their prices. We were then told to fill out the address for who we were sending to. She had us step aside so that she could help other customers in the meantime and assured us that once we were done filling out the form, we would be next in line. True to her word, once we were done she stopped another customer from coming up to help us out. We were probably only in there for about 15 minutes max which was easy. read more

Most USPS Offices I've been to have been slow, but this one is most likely the slowest I've been to. The line was down to Daiso, the store next door, when I got in line 40+ minutes ago. There are still 5 people ahead of me and only 1 person working at the counter. USPS just sent a mailer about the improvements in USPS, including speed. Post offices are never fun but honestly this is probably the best location I've been to & it's my go-to one! Maybe it's because I go here so much and the man behind the counter remembers me & is always super nice to me. :) Unlike regular locations, this one closes at 6pm. The extra time really helps when you're trying to get something mailed after work! It does tend to get really busy right before closing so just keep that in mind.. you'll easily spend 15 mins waiting. Because it's located in the mall, I like that I can get my postage out, do some returns and get some retail therapy in ;) read more

Love this post office! Friendly, efficient staff and best of all, open nights and weekends since it's located in the Oakridge mall. They are actually open LONGER than the mall since weekdays mall stores open at 10:30 a.m. but the post office opens at 10 a.m. The post office's current hours are: Monday - Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Awesome!!!! Tip: Inside the mall, the post office is located closest to Sears. Yes, inside the mall. The only problem is that there is usually a line out the door because it is such a small store and that most of the people in line aren't ready to get their business done so you have to wait and wait and wait while they get all of their stuff ready to mail. OHHHHH, that is so frustrating. But if you have to get something out right away and it is too late at the other post offices, then this is the store for you. It has saved my bacon dozens of times. I really don't like one of the ladies that works here, but I have to give this place more stars because it's open Monday- Saturday until 9pm. I got a birthday card sent back to me because I needed to add another stamp. I took it to this post office to send with something else, and told the lady that I just need a stamp. She refuses and weighs the card and wants me to pay $4 something to send my birthday card-- on top of the stamp that I already have on it. SCREW YOU LADY... I took my birthday card home, slapped a stamp on it and threw it back in the mailbox and it got to LA in 2 days. DON'T LET THIS LADY TRICK YOU!. Too bad ZERO stars wasnt an option. Lazy, as another reviewer noted, is an understatement. Then add slow and RUDE to the mix. This review is Written as a result of several interactions with CHERYL, who seems to have a permanent scowl on her face and is so rude to customers; it's apparent that she does not take any pride in her work And would rather be sitting at home eating doughnuts and watching soap operas with her cats. She closes early, so don't bother rushing over to make the 9:00 closing time, while all the other stores in the mall are open, the post office is the only one that's closed, because according to her cell phone, it says "9:00". Somebody needs to tell this lady that the post office is going broke and pushing away willing customers is probably not the best decision to help your cause. Why is it that you're always waiting in a long line at a post office? I am the person who always is in a rush and only have 5 min to spare before having to be somewhere else. I tap my feet, look around, and wonder, "why or why isn't this line moving???" Well I have good news (read on)... Yesterday I was in a jam. I needed to mail out my transcripts to my school and they needed to be mailed out ASAP. It was 1:55pm and I called up the post office on Cahalan Street to check for their hours on Saturday. They close at 2pm! Fortunately, they recommended the post office inside the Oakridge Mall. The post office in the mall closes when the mall closes. Jackpot!!! I've been living in this neighborhood for a year now and I didn't know it existed in the mall! Well holy smokes, you learn something new each day! This post office is located inside Oakridge Mall closer to Sears. Th one has extended hour opening early 10am (think mall times) and closing at 9pm. So, if you have an urgent need to mail something and the automated teller can't do it for you, this should be your next stop. I love this post office. They are one-of-a-kind. It's one of the only post offices in Bay Area because they're open until 9pm. I think USPS would be more competitive if they had more locations like this. Not everyone can afford to take a lunch and drop their packages off. Sara G.does not paint an accurate picture for Cheryl, She get's the job done! Her customer service skills and speed need a little working on, but overall she's very nice, Cheryl is knowledgeable and she tells it like it is - even if that's not the answer you want to hear. She know if something is not going to ship or there might be issues, she lets you know before their might be an issue. And best of all, she's willing to work the late hours, which is why I come to this post office! This post office sometimes has crazy lines, but that's the nature of people waiting until the last minute to get things out. Taxes, Holidays, etc. That's not the post office's fault. And it's not because there are only two workers there. Try the Cahalan Post Office mid-day, you at least have a line of 6 on any given day. Now that's wacky! If you go to Lundy, the central post office, there are 7 stations, but only 3-4 are open at a time. They can have 30 minute wait times!! That's not much different from Oakridge USPS on their craziest days. Most of the time if there is an issue with speed, it's someone else in line. Not the postal workers. And 99.9% of the time it's avoidable if you go to USPS and print the label out yourself. I don't know why all people do this more often. read more

I've been to this post office a couple of times and there is always a wait. Usually I don't mind too much, but today was extra slow. There was only one person and I waited in line for 15 minutes before being helped. Once I got to the counter, I asked her how much would it be to ship this package. She says you need an address and I showed her. Apparently the zip code didn't come up and I asked her if she could just type in the full address. She said no and that she can give me a book to find the zip code. Talk about bad customer service, shouldn't she be doing this? It would only take her seconds. She says take the book and step aside because she has a long line. I was so irritated, I just took the package and said, "Nevermind, I'll take it to another post office." I highly doubt I'll be coming back here for a very......LONG time!! read more

Yeah, they're open late and I've shipped out of here a few times before. The last time I came a couple of weeks ago had a bad experience here. I entered with only two people being helped at the counter to two postal workers there. I ended up waiting a good 15-20 min, while one of the workers had a printer malfunction which caused the hold up. On top of that, there was this mom there with a cracked up toddler who kept crying to his mom non-stop. Sadly after 5 minutes I felt like this may have been the worst post office situation I've ever encountered. I finally ended up with the lady who experienced the printer issue, but she seemed to have fixed it. Filled out the international customs form quick because I had to ship this package half-way across the world. I got the extra $0.70 delivery confirmation on the priority package, and I believe it has not yet arrived. And I have yet to see if it will update me on the package arrival date. read more

This place is great! I can do my shopping lap around the mall and pop in to purchase stamps. The line moves fast, they always have the specific stamps I want in stock, and accept items to be mailed out. Minus one star for not having the automated postal machine. read more

I'm sorry, but just because a place is open late doesn't mean it deserves five stars. While I do agree it's helpful to have a post office with such convenient hours, that's where the positives end. I went here the other night to mail some pictures of my daughter to family around the country. I have been mailing pictures of her for over a year, and have never had trouble before I went to this PO. First of all, the second I handed the envelope to the woman at the counter, she took one of them over and asked her coworker if she should charge me for a 'small parcel'. Are postal workers on commission? Why are they always trying to charge more for things? Anyway, the coworker takes my envelope of pictures and starts bending it, so I said "could you please not bend that- they're pictures" and he says "well if they're pictures, then yes, small parcel," because according to him, small parcels wouldn't be bent by the machine. That's all good and fine, but I didn't want them sent as a small parcel. They were photos in a 4x6 envelope and last I checked photos were still made of paper. All I wanted was to pay the regular rate for a letter of that weight. After arguing with the woman for two minutes, she finally agreed to let me send them as letters and not as parcels, which would have doubled the price. Her parting words were "Don't blame me if they come back to you." Why the hell would they come back to me if they have correct postage? I hate the post office. read more

I came in and Chi welcomed me With a great smile and a customer service level that I have never seen anywhere else in my experience with the postal service.
