Volunteers would be available to assist new citizens in completing their voter registration forms after the ceremony. The volunteers were unable to assist at the parking lot per the USCIS and this is no longer a special event for those who have waited years to become US citizens. It is a very sad and disappointing to those who expected a memorable ceremony for this most important day, their first day as a US citizen. Attempts to reach the San Jose USCIS office to ask how they made this decision with such short noticed, were unsuccessful, connecting with human is virtually impossible. God help America. When I went outside there was impressive amount of Food Vendors ( the way it should be) so it was interesting ( the Japan Cherry Blossom in May??? I forgot). The thing is we were late ( this time) for July 4th. Celebration. There was some kind of Pancake Breakfast (Optomst Club?) but way too expensive...offer Pancake, Sausage, fruit cup, Coffee,Hot Choco for $ 15 dollars? $ 3 OJ. Since Mom is Diabetic & Dad has cancer, Dad & I decide that $ 15 is too expensive for just Pancake/Sausage. I was still curious if other people showed up, as in Cupertino $ 15 is cheap. So I was curious what other people had to say about the Breakfast July 4th. I also saw huge line for kids event. Of kids throwing DartBoard (not real darts) but it would be nice for someone to show Kids how to Throw it as most kids missed it ( maybe next yr, I will volunteer as it would be nice for someone to show kids how to throw the plastic thing to not miss the Dartboard even tho it was not real Darts) The thing that was disappointing ( only to me) is that on 4th of July it would have been nice to see tons of Food Vendors ( because its a holiday when families go out to have fun & most Families willing to spend money on Vendors). Maybe because only Pancake breakfast..I dont know if that was huge success or not. We went near the end of the concert. They were playing really Good Rock & Roll music and other American Classic music. Just would be Fun to see....Offering a whole Variety on Food as there are not enough buffet Nor MultiCultural type food places to go. Dad is a huge food fanatic but he gets sick of overpriced Chinese ( his favorite). I keep telling Dad to see Mexican Food Trucks as they are cheaper than Most overpriced restaurants. Even Pho ( one of my favorite foods) is expensive in restaurants these days (I love Vietnamese food as it is one of my favorite, next to Mexican is my favorite but I lived in California back in 1990 when Mexican food used to be cheap...Now the prices have sky Rocket...the only cheap Taco restaurant is Los Dos Compadres near Saratoga-Sunnyvale Rd & Prospect Rd ( DeAnza Blvd & Prospect Rd). Most of their Tacos are only 3.5 or maybe close to 3.75 by now and they give more meat than most Taco Trucks. Only one time their Carne Asada was less taste but majority of time, they have really good Taco and good Carne Asada. Only problem is they close at 3pm. They were communicative, flexible with scheduling and extremely professional. The accurately documented what was going on during visits to allow the court to see what was really happening (or not happening in this case). Now that my time on jury duty is over, I can finally talk about it--though not about the case. Let…read moreme start by saying this was my first time serving as a juror, and to be honest, I learned a lot and actually enjoyed it. I know most people dread jury duty, but I honestly wouldn't mind doing it again. A few highlights: First off, there's some eye candy (I'm talking about the sheriffs, DA's, attorneys--seriously, not bad on the eyes). But beyond that, we had an amazing judge. Let's call him Judge BB for privacy reasons. He was incredibly kind, level-headed, had excellent people skills, and was just plain funny. One moment that stood out: a woman mentioned, "I know being a mom isn't a full-time job." And Judge BB, with his JFK-level smile (I swear he could run for mayor with that charm), replied, "I always consider being a mom a full-time job!" That's some grown man energy right there. Then there was our ADA (let's call him ADA I). He was so sweet and kind, and you could really tell he was doing his best. Low key, he's cute in that dorky way. I even thought about slipping him my number, but I wasn't brave enough to do it. Maybe next time! All in all, it was a great experience and I walked away with a newfound respect for the legal process and the people who keep it running smoothly.

There is no excuse to have in-person activities at a government building without requiring proof of Vaccination for EVERYONE (with exception of the few with a valid medical exemption, who should be excused from Jury duty).  I was never asked if I was vaccinated and it was never mentioned at check-in, on the recorded messages to the potential jurors, or by the judge.   4 STARS   - Park on the 3rd floor of the parking garage (same level as the pedestrian bridge), get your ticket validated as soon as you check-in on the 2nd floor.  When you return to the garage, there is no need to stop at the pay station, drive directly to the exit. 3 STARS -  Staff was helpful at security, at check-in, and in the courtroom.  The judge provided helpful information about the case and an explanation about COVID precautions, masks, air filtration, distancing, but the vaccination status of participants was never mentioned which was troubling. 2 STARS - Waiting area reminded me of a regional airport terminal,  (walk all the way to the backroom, it is the least crowded)   Bring a book, a charged phone/laptop.  Don't count on getting access to an outlet.   Also, bring water or soda, and snacks.

I went out of my way to help, I mapped out where fraudulent transactions were happening, listed the amounts, and even contacted a gas station that has surveillance footage ready for police review. The thief racked up over $700 in purchases using my cards. Despite all of that, I can't get any follow up. Calls go unanswered, and the deputy assigned to my case hasn't responded to my emails, including when I asked for another evidence submission link so I could send in the footage. It's incredibly frustrating to put in this much effort and get no response. At this point, I accepted that nothing is going to be done anyway. I even have a photo of one of the people who used my wallet, but there has been zero movement or communication. End result, I am left dealing with a stolen wallet that had my cards, cash, and driver's license. Not exactly a great experience.

I came to this office to get a seller's license and I was pleasantly surprised at the efficiency of this office. Although the paperwork for the license said that the process could take up to two weeks, my partner and I walked out with a license about an hour after we walked in the doors. The woman who helped us was friendly and helped answer our questions. All in all, a great experience.

I called the BOE today and found that I needed a seller permit from them and that I had three years of back sales tax to pay them. The one street parking is non-existant, but the parking garage is directly next door and convenient. We (I had my boys with me) went in and the receptionist sent us right in. Not much of a wait at all. We talked to Vivian (Viv) and she was a wonderfully helpful and sweet woman (with cute pictures of her new grandbaby). We got my permit done quickly and she walked me step-by-step taking care of the previous years due. She made a mildly unfortunate event easy-peasy. Thank you Viv!
