It's clear who is next in line but at random times they will require you grab a number and wait for them to call out all numbers before yours (no one answers) The ladies will remind you they are not paid for their work... Or explaining the difference between flat rate priority mail and ordinary priority mail (potentially much cheaper).

I came on a Saturday morning to just grab and drop off a form, but I watched as the woman at the counter pointedly ignored an entire line of people standing there waiting for her to start helping them. Even when I went up to ask for the form I needed, and explained they were out, she first did not acknowledge that she had heard me, I repeated myself, and then she began grilling me as to why I needed the form (FFS it is a mail hold form - it serves one single purpose). It is actually exceptional the way in which she ignored absolutely everyone. People like that really make it so much harder to support the post office, and really need to not be the front facing customer service representative.
